These instructions contain important

safety and operating information for

your electronic deodorizer. This

equipment is to be used in unoccupied

areas only. Not for household use.

For commercial use only.

The RAINBOWAIR Activator 500 was designed

with the housekeeper in mind. The lightweight

and easy to use design is the result of years of

use within the hospitality industry. This model is

designed to deodorize areas in a short period of

time using controlled levels of activated oxygen

(ozone). For this reason it is required that

the RAINBOWAIR Activator 500 be usedin

unoccupied areas.Using this technology will

eliminate the need for scented sprays and

chemical agents. No sprays of any kind should

be used in conjunction with this unit.

Operating the unit

On the front of the unit there are three controls.

The power switch turns the unit on and off. The

output dial controls the production of ozone from

low (about 50 mg/hr) to medium (about

275mg/hr) to high (about 500mg/hr). The

bottom dial controls how long the unit runs after

being turned on. The minimum amount of time

is about one (1) minute, the maximum time is 1

hour (60 minutes). To operate, plug the unit in,

set the output and timer controls, place the unit

on a dresser or desk (the higher the better), turn

the HVAC system in the room on, turn the

RAINBOWAIRActivator 500 on and leave the

area. The unit will turn itself off after running for

the time period set. Note that the timer control

knob does not move as the unit is running.

DANGER:Elevated ozone levels exist during

operation of the unit. If improperly used by

unqualified personnel, exposure to ozone can be

harmful to health. It may cause eye, nose,

throat and lung irritation or dysfunction. The

following guidelines must be followed:

Set timer, turn unit on, exit room and do not

return until processing time is complete - see

application guide. Do not reset timer in same

room. Use in a room having a minimum volume

of 3600 cubic feet (15' x 30' with 8' ceilings -

about the size of a normal guest room). Close

doorways and openings to other occupied areas

from the room being treated. Operate only one

unit per room. Do not use units in adjacent

rooms or rooms across from each other at the

same time.

CAUTION:in the unlikely event the unit

continues to operate beyond the maximum one-

hour operational period (due to timer failure) the

following guidelines should be used.

1. Enter the area being treated by device.

2. Immediately turn power switch off.

3. Disconnect the power supply cord.

4. Evacuate the treated area and do

not reoccupy the area for 5 hours.

5. Have the device repaired by a qualified

service person.
