TROUBLESHOOTING

• There are no user serviceable parts in the blower vac; if a fault is suspected

or the supply cord requires replacement, return the blower vac to a power tool

repairer.

• Keep air intake clean and air vents free from debris to avoid overheating the

motor.

• Do not use cleaning agents to clean the plastic parts of the blower vac. A

mild detergent on a damp cloth is recommended. Water must never come into

contact with the blower vac.

• If the blower vac vibrates abnormally, stop motor immediately. Abnormal

vibration usually indicates a mechanical problem continued operation could

lead to injury or damage.

• No lubrication is necessary as the motor is equipped with lifetime-lubrication

bearings.

• Keep the ventilation vents of the blower vac clean at all times, if possible,

prevent foreign matter from entering the vents.

• After each use, blow air through the blower vac housing to ensure it is free

from all dust particles which may have built-up. Build up of dust particles may

cause the blower vac to overheat and fail.

• If the enclosure of the blower vac requires cleaning do not use solvents but

a moist soft cloth only. Never let any liquid get inside the blower vac; never

immerse any part of the blower vac into liquid.

• When not in use, the blower vac should be stored in a dry, frost free location

not within the reach of children.

Note: Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries caused

by the repair of the blower vac by an unauthorised person or by mishandling

of the blower vac. This tool is designed for DIY use - use in commercial or

industrial environments will void the warranty.

instructions (for example connecting it to an incorrect mains voltage or

current type) or a failure to follow the maintenance and safety instructions

or by exposing the device to abnormal environmental conditions or by lack

of care and maintenance.

- Damage to the device caused by abuse or incorrect use (for example

overloading the device or the use or unapproved tools or accessories),

ingress of foreign bodies into the device (such as sand, stones or dust,

transport damage), the use of force or damage caused by external forces

(for example by dropping it).

- Damage to the device or parts of the device caused by normal or natural

wear or tear or by normal use of the device.

4. Your Product is guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the original

date of purchase and is intended for DIY (Do It Yourself) use only. Warranty

excludes consumable parts. Guarantee claims should be submitted

before the end of the guarantee period within two weeks of the defect

being noticed. No guarantee claims will be accepted after the end of the

guarantee period. The original guarantee period remains applicable to the

device even if repairs are carried out or parts are replaced. In such cases,

the work performed or parts tted will not result in an extension of the

guarantee period, and no new guarantee will become active for the work

performed or parts tted. This also applies if an on-site service is used.

WARNING! When using mains-powered tools, basic safety precautions, including the

Read the whole manual carefully and make sure you know how to switch the tool off in an emergency,

before operating the tool.

Save these instructions and other documents supplied with this tool for future reference.

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are

identical to the mains data.

This tool is double insulated therefore no earth wire is required.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an electrician or a power tool repairer in order to avoid

a hazard.

Note: Double insulation does not take the place of normal safety precautions when operating this tool. The

insulation system is for added protection against injury resulting from a possible electrical insulation failure

within the tool.

Using an Extension Lead

Always use an approved extension lead suitable for the power input of this tool. Before use, inspect the

extension lead for signs of damage, wear and ageing. Replace the extension lead if damaged or defective.

When using an extension lead on a reel, always unwind the lead completely. Use of an extension lead not

suitable for the power input of the tool or which is damaged or defective may result in a risk of re and electric

shock.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

WARNING! “Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications provided

with this power tool.” Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, re

and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings

refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

1. Work area safety

a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable

liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose

control.

2. Electrical safety

a. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter

plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of

electric shock.

b. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and

refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk

of electric shock.

d. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep

cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk

of electric shock.

e. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a

cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

f. If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)

protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety

a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do

not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A

moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

b. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust

mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce

personal injuries.

c. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power

source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on

the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

d. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left

attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the

power tool in unexpected situations.

f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away

from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

g. If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these

are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and

ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

4. Power tool use and care

a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool

will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be

controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

c. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the

power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such

preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the

power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of

untrained users.

e. Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,

breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged,

have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less

likely to bind and are easier to control.

g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking

into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for

operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and

grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.

5. Service

a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

As an alternative to returning the equipment to the manufacturer, the

owner of the electrical equipment must make sure that the equipment is

equipment can be returned to a suitable collection point that will dispose of

the equipment in accordance with the national recycling and waste disposal

General instructions

¥ Read the complete operating manual with due care. Acquaint yourself with the controls and how to use the tool.

¥ All persons (including children) who, for reasons of physical, sensory or mental ability or inexperience or lack of

knowledge, are not in a position to be able to use this device safely, should not use the device unsupervised or without

instruction by or from a responsible person. Children must always be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play

with the device.

¥ Never allow children to use the tool.

¥ Never allow other persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions to use the tool. Contact your local

government ofces for information regarding minimum age requirements for operating the tool.

¥ Never use the tool when there are people – particularly children – or pets nearby.

¥ The user is responsible for any accidents or hazards suffered by third parties or their property.

Preparation

¥ Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers when using the tool.

¥ Never wear loose tting clothes or jewellery. They may get drawn into the suction opening. Rubber gloves and non-slip

shoes are recommended when working outdoors. Wear a hair net if you have long hair.

¥ Wear safety goggles while you work.

¥ Use a dust mask when working on dusty jobs

¥ Always check the tool, the power cable and the extension cable before using the tool.Only operate the tool when it is

in good working order and is not damaged in any way. Damaged parts have to be replaced immediately by a qualied

electrician.

¥ Never use the tool if any of its safety devices or guards are damaged or if any safety attachments such as deectors

and/or grass catching devices are missing.

¥ When working outdoors, use only extension cables which are approved for outdoor use. Extension cables must have a

minimum cross section of 1.5 mm2. The plug connections must be splash-proof.

Operation

¥ Always trail the power cable behind the tool.

¥ If the power cable or extension cable is damaged, pull the plug out of the socket. NEVER TOUCH THE CABLE

BEFORE THE PLUG HAS BEEN PULLED OUT OF THE SOCKET.

¥ Do not carry the tool by its power cable.

¥ Always pull out the power plug:

- when the tool is not being used, when it is being transported or when you leave it unsupervised.

- when you are checking the tool, cleaning it or removing blockages.

- when you want to carry out cleaning or maintenance work on the tool or replace accessories.

- after the tool impacts with foreign bodies or you notice unusual vibrations.

¥ Use the tool only in broad daylight or in well-lit conditions.

¥ Do not underestimate the forces involved. Make sure you stand squarely and keep your balance at all times.

¥ If possible, avoid using the tool on wet grass.

¥ Ensure that you maintain a steady foothold particularly while working on slopes.

¥ Never direct the vacuum/blow hole at persons or animals.

¥ The machine may only be used at reasonable times of the day, i.e. not in the early morning or late evening when it will

be a nuisance to other people. Permitted times of use specied by local authorities must be observed.

¥ The machine must be run at the lowest possible motor speed required to carry out the work.

¥ Remove all foreign objects with a rake and brush before starting any blowing work.

¥ Where conditions are dusty, dampen the surface a little or use a sprinkler attachment.

¥ Use the full-length blower nozzle extension so that the air current can work near to the ground.

¥ Watch out for children, pets, open windows etc. and blow the foreign objects safely away from them.

Maintenance and storage

¥ Check that all nuts, bolts and screws are securely tightened in order to be sure that the machine is in a safe working

condition.

¥ Frequently check the debris bag for signs of wear and deformation.

¥ Use only genuine accessories and spare parts.

¥ For your own safety, replace worn or damaged parts without delay.

¥ Electric tools should be kept in a dry place when not in use.

¥ If the mains cable for this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or

similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

SETUP & PREPARATION OPERATION

Fitting the Secondary Handle

1. Insert the secondary handle so that it locks into place.

Assembling the Tubes

1. Attach the plastic

connector on the collection

bag to the outlet in the

housing.

1. Undo the clip on the strap

by pressing both sides

inward.

3. Close the clip on the strap

to form a loop.

NOTE: To use the shoulder strap simply slide the strap over your

shoulder so that some of the weight of the blower vac

can be taken by your shoulder.

1. To turn on squeeze the

on/off trigger.

1. Make sure the collection

bag is attached and zipped

up correctly.

2. Select the desired

operating mode.

4. Turn on by squeezing the

on/off trigger.

1. Open the zip at the rear of

the bag.

1. To increase the air speed

rotate the variable speed

dial to a higher number.

function move the lever

down past the blower icon.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS ENSURE THE COLLECTION BAG

IS CORRECTLY ATTACHED AND BE AWARE OF WHAT IS

BEING DRAWN UP INTO THE BLOWER VAC TUBE.

THIS PRODUCT IS DESIGNED TO VACUUM GARDEN

DEBRIS INCLUDING LEAVES, TWIGS AND GARDEN

CUTTINGS.

1. Simultaneously squeeze

the two locating hooks on

the plastic connector.

2. Attach the clip on the

collection bag to the hook

underneath the upper tube.

For best results when vacuuming it is recommended to empty

the collection bag after it becomes half full. Always empty the

collection bag after you have nished your job.

5 working days after purchasing the product and upon presentation

of a valid bill of purchase. Also, refer to the warranty table in the

service information at the end of the operating instructions.

• Open the packaging and take out the equipment with care.

• Remove the packaging material and any packaging and/or

transportation braces (if available).

• Check to see if all items are supplied.

• Inspect the equipment and accessories for transport damage.

• If possible, please keep the packaging until the end of the

guarantee period.

children play with plastic bags, foils or small parts. There is a

danger of swallowing or suffocating!

Proper Use

The Blower Vac is designed to handle only foliage and garden

refuse such as grass and small branches. Any other use is

prohibited.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any

other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator

and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of

any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in

commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be

voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial

businesses or for equivalent purposes.
