Thank you for purchasing the X-Tube. It is a Tube Output Buffer designed to enhance your audio sources. Modern CD
players budget network streamers or DACs often do not feature high quality output stages. This is done simply for ,
cost reasons. Cheap integrated IC solutions are used that don t have the power to properly drive line inputs in many ’
amplifiers. The X-Tube has a clean, high impedance tube input, meaning it won put as much strain on the output ’t
drive capabilities of connected source devices. Regular line inputs on most amplifiers are usually more demanding
and cheap output stages will struggle. On the output side, the X-Tube clean, low impedance tube output buffer has ’s
plenty of drive and will not struggle with any low or high impedance amplifier input We sincerely hope that the X-.

Safety instructions
AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make sure that the
voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the device.
Never handle the device while your hands are wet or damp.
Avoid letting liquids enter the device. Never place any item containing liquid, such as a flower vase on
or near the device. Never spill any liquid on the device. Never place any naked flame sources, such as
lighted candles on or near the device. The product shall not be used in damp or wet locations, next to a
bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar conditions. Place all connecting cables where they are
not likely to be walked on or trapped by items placed on them. The unit will operate in accordance with its
specifications within the following environmental range: Temperature 5 to 45 degrees Celsius; Humidity 10
to 90% non condensing
This Hi-Fi product has been tested to ensure that its operation is not adversely affected by normal
background levels of Radio Frequency Interference (R.F.I.), and that it does not itself generate excessive
amounts of interference. However, if a problem persists, please contact your Musical Fidelity agent.

Using good quality RCA leads (not supplied), connect the left and right outputs from your CD player, streamer, DAC or
other audio source to the X-Tube sockets. The sockets are simply duplicates of the LINE INPUT BYPASS OUTPUT LINE
INPUT, and are directly connected internally. This is to allow further connection to other audio equipment if required
and to compare the effects of the tube buffer stage.
Now connect your X-Tube left and right to the CD or auxiliary line inputs of your amplifier system. OUTPUTS
Connect the power cable to the unit and to the mains.
This product has been designed so that it may be left on indefinitely, but please note that may become it
warm to the touch - this is normal.
Make all connections whilst the X-Tube is . switched off and disconnected from the mains
Make sure the AC input selector matches mains voltage in your country.

The switch on the backpanel turns the unit on or off. The blue LED on the front panel shows that the unit is switched on.
