Stereo Mono Converter

These instructions are intended for users without any

speciﬁc technical knowledge. Please read the instruc-

tions carefully prior to operating the unit and keep

them for later reference.

1 Important Notes

The converter corresponds to all relevant directives of the

EU and is therefore marked with .

• The converter is suitable for indoor use only. Protect

it against dripping water, splash water and high air

humidity. The admissible ambient temperature range

is 0 – 40 °C.

• For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water

or chemicals.

• No guarantee claims for the converter and no liability

for any resulting personal damage or material damage

will be accepted if the converter is used for other pur-

poses than originally intended, if it is not correctly con-

nected or if it is not repaired in an expert way.

If the converter is to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling plant

for a disposal which is not harmful to the

environment.

2 Applications

The converter SMC-1 is required when a stereo signal

source is to be connected to a mono audio unit (e. g.

PA ampliﬁer, active speaker system). The converter will

mix the two stereo signals to a mono signal; it does not

require any power supply.

3 Connecting the Converter

1) Connect the jacks IN to the line output of the signal

source.

2) Each of the jacks OUTPUT can be connected to the

input of a mono unit.

Stereo-Mono-Konverter

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Benutzer ohne be-

sondere Fachkenntnisse. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung

vor dem Betrieb gründlich durch und heben Sie sie

für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch

Der Konverter entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der

EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

• Setzen Sie den Konverter nur im Innenbereich ein und

schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie vor

hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der zulässige Einsatztempera-

turbereich beträgt 0 – 40 °C.

• Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-

ches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.

• Wird der Konverter zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-

schlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine

Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personen-

schäden und keine Garantie für den Konverter über-

nommen werden.

Soll der Konverter endgültig aus dem Betrieb

genommen werden, übergeben Sie ihn zur

umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem ört lichen

Recyclingbetrieb.

2 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Der Konverter SMC-1 wird benötigt, wenn eine Stereo-

Signalquelle an ein Mono-Audiogerät (z. B. ELA-Verstär-

ker, Aktiv-Lautsprecherbox) angeschlossen werden soll.

Er mischt die beiden Stereo-Signale zu einem Mono-

Signal. Der SMC-1 benötigt keine Spannungsversorgung.

3 Anschluss des Konverters

1) Die Buchsen IN mit dem Ausgang der Signalquelle

verbinden.

2) Jede der Buchsen OUT kann mit dem Eingang eines

Mono-Gerätes verbunden werden.

Convertitore da stereo a mono

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte all’utente senza cono-

scenze tecniche speciﬁche. Vi preghiamo di leggerle

attentamente prima della messa in funzione e di

conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Avvertenze importanti per l’uso

Il convertitore è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti

dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

• Usare il convertitore solo all’interno di locali e proteg-

gerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi d’acqua

nonché da alta umidità dell’aria. La temperatura

d’esercizio ammessa è 0 – 40 °C.

• Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciutto;

non impiegare in nessun caso acqua o prodotti chimici.

• Nel caso d’uso improprio, di collegamenti sbagliati o di

riparazione non a regola d’arte del convertitore, non

si assume nessuna responsabilità per eventuali danni

consequenziali a persone o a cose e non si assume nes-

suna garanzia per il convertitore.

Se si desidera eliminare il convertitore deﬁni-

tivamente, consegnarlo per lo smaltimento ad

un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.

2 Possibilità d’impiego

Il convertitore SMC-1 è richiesto quando una fonte audio

stereo deve essere collegata a un apparecchio audio

mono (p. es. ampliﬁcatore PA, cassa acustica attiva). Il

convertitore miscela i due segnali stereo facendoli diven-

tare un segnale mono. L’SMC-1 non richiede nessun’ali-

mentazione.

3 Collegamento del convertitore

1) Collegare le prese IN con l’uscita della fonte audio.

2) Ognuna delle prese OUT può essere collegata con

l’ingresso di un apparecchio mono.

Cette notice s’adresse à l’utilisateur sans connais-

sance technique particulière. Veuillez lire la présente

notice avant le fonctionnement et conservez-la pour

pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Conseils importants d’utilisation

Le convertisseur répond à toutes les directives nécessaires

de l’Union européenne et porte donc le symbole .

• Le convertisseur n’est conçu que pour une utilisation

en intérieur. Protégez-le des éclaboussures, de tout

type de projections d’eau et d’une humidité d’air éle-

vée. La plage de température ambiante admissible est

de 0 – 40 °C.

• Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un tissu sec et

doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.

• Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dom-

mages corporels ou matériels résultants si le convertis-

seur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui pour lequel

il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correctement branché ou s’il

n’est pas réparé par une personne habilitée ; de même,

la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le convertisseur est déﬁnitivement re-

tiré du service, vous devez le déposer dans une

usine de recyclage de proximité pour contri-

buer à son élimination non polluante.

2 Possibilités d’utilisation

Le convertisseur SMC-1 est nécessaire lorsqu’une source

de signal stéréo doit être reliée à un appareil audio mono

(par exemple ampliﬁcateur PA, enceinte active). Il mixe

les deux signaux stéréo en un signal mono. Le SMC-1 ne

nécessite pas d’alimentation.

3 Branchement du convertisseur

1) Reliez les prises IN à la sortie de la source de signal.

2) Chacune des prises OUT peut être reliée à l’entrée d’un

appareil mono.
