APPLICATIONS
Connections to be made
When installing an aftermarket radio, the 70-8114 will allow the user to retain their factory
installed steering wheel controls without having to splice into the factory wiring (ASWC-1 required
and sold separately). In addition, we include RCA’s to allow the user to retain their factory installed
3.5mm AUX IN jack (aftermarket radio must have a audio AUX IN).

* These vehicles use either a 20-Pin or 28-pin connector for the steering wheel control
harness. If your vehicle uses a 28-pin connector, please use the AX-TOY28SWC instead.
Caution: Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning
any installation. All accessories, switches, and especially air bag indicator lights must be
plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition.
Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.

Installation:
1. Connect the wire to 12-volt accessory power.Red
2. Connect the wire to chassis ground (by itself).Black
3. Connect the 3.5mm jack to the steering wheel control input, in the aftermarket radio.
4. Connect the RCA jack to the left audio AUX IN of the aftermarket radio White
(if equipped).
5. Connect the RCA to the right audio AUX IN of the aftermarket radio (if equipped).Red
Note:
• Audiodevicesconnectedthroughthe3.5mmjackwillbecontrolledfromtheaudio 
device, not the aftermarket radio.
• PleaserefertotheASWC-1programminginstructionsforprogrammingoftheASWC-1.

APLICACIONES
Conexiones que se deben hacer
Al instalar un radio de posventa, el 70-8114 permitirá al usuario retener sus controles del volante
instalados de fábrica sin tener que realizar un empalme al cableado de fábrica (requerido por el
ASWC-1 y vendido por separado). Además, incluimos los conectores RCA para permitir que el
usuario retenga su enchufe de 3.5 mm instalado de fábrica (el radio de posventa debe tener una
entrada auxiliar).

* Estos vehículos utilizan p2-ya sea un 20 pines o un conector de 28 pines para el arnés
de control del volante. Si su vehículo utiliza un conector de 28 pines, por favor, utilice el
AX-TOY28SWC lugar.
Caution: Ubique el arnés del cableado de fábrica en el tablero. Metra recomienda usar el
adaptador de acoplamiento adecuado de Metra o AXXESS. Vuelva a conectar el terminal
negativo de la batería y pruebe la unidad para verificar que funcione correctamente.
Nota: Vuelvaamontareltableroenformainversaaldesmontaje.
Instalación:
1. Conecte el cable de alimentación auxiliar de 12-voltios.rojo
2. Conecte el cable a tierra del chasis (por sí mismo).negro
3. Conecte el jack de 3.5 mm para la entrada de control del volante, en la radio no original.
4. Conecte el conector RCA a la izquierda de audio AUX IN de la radio no original blanco
(si está instalado).
5. Conecte el RCA a la derecha de audio AUX IN de la radio no original (si rojo
está instalado).
Nota:
• Losdispositivosdeaudioconectadosatravésdelconectorde3,5mmsecontrolandesde
el dispositivo de audio, sin la radio no original.
• Porfavor,consultelasinstruccionesdeprogramaciónASWC-1paralaprogramación
 delaASWC-1.
