Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.
Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from
the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.
Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or
better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

Should you experience any technical difculties you are welcome to

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration. Should
you not register the product within the 12 months of purchase, you will

THIRD YEAR OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional
third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your
warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed
to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.
7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-
der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre
or service agent for any service or repair requirements.
8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date
of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.
9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the
warranty period.
10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,
this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or
liable for any circumstances not under the brands control.
11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a
repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

Read these instructions carefully before switching on the

2.3.1. Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each
use.
2.3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or accessories

2.3.3. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or
connected to the mains power supply.
2.3.4. Use the appliance handle/s, to carry it or
move it.(if aplicable).
2.3.5. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in

2.3.7. Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
2.3.8. Never leave the appliance unattended when
in use and keep out of the reach of children, as
this is an electrical appliance that reaches high
temperatures and may cause serious burns. (if applicable).
2.3.9. If for some reason, the appliance were to catch fire,
disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply and
DO NOT USE WATER TO PUT THE FIRE OUT.
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by suit-
ably qualified technician, and that only original spare parts or

service agent or a similarly qualified person must replace it in
order to avoid a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for
use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability

3. Operation
3.1. Before first use
Ensure your espresso maker is properly earthed before
plugging it in.
3.2.Preheating
3.2.1. Fill the water tank with fresh water. Do not exceed the
“max” fill line.
3.2.2. Plug in the machine and press the power button.
The indicator light will turn red, showing the appliance is
warming up.
3.2.3. Press the coffee button to pump water into the internal
heating tank.
3.2.4. The indicator light will turn green when preheating
is complete, which usually takes about 2 minutes. Your
machine is now ready!
3.3. Espresso making
3.3.1. While the machine is preheating, load ground coffee
into the filter. Ensure the grind is not too coarse or too fine.
3.3.2. Use the measuring spoon to gently flatten the coffee
grounds, then wipe away any excess from the filter’s rim.
3.3.3. Once the coffee is loaded, securely lock the filter into
the top inner area of the appliance. Place your cup directly
beneath the filter.
3.3.4. Press the coffee button once to start the espresso
flow. When you have your desired amount, press the coffee
button again to stop. Allow a few seconds for any final drips
to cease.
3.4. Hot Water Function
3.4.1. Press the power button (if not already on) to ensure
the indicator light is red and the appliance starts heating.
3.4.2. The indicator light will turn green once heating is
complete. Slowly twist the steam control knob until hot water
dispenses from the nozzle.
(If no water comes out: Press the coffee button to pump
water from the tank, then twist the steam control knob again.)
3.4.3. After dispensing hot water, turn the steam control knob
to the ‘0’ position and press the power button to switch off
the machine.
3.5. Milk Frothing Function
3.5.1. Press the steam button. The indicator light will turn red
as it heats up, then green when ready for frothing.

3.5.3. Slowly turn the steam control knob counter clockwise.
Steam will begin to emerge from the frothing device.
(Important: The steam intensity is adjustable. Always release
any condensed water from inside the steam pipe before froth-

3.5.4. Once your milk reaches approximately 75°C (167°F)
or your desired texture, press the steam button to turn off
the appliance.
3.5.5. After frothing, immediately wipe the steam pipe and
nozzle with a wet cloth.
Tip: If milk gets stuck, briefly turn on the steam function
again to clear it.
4. Cleaning:
4.1. Cut off power source and let the coffee maker cool down
completely before cleaning it.
4.2. Clean the housing of the coffee maker with a moisture-
proof sponge often. Clean the water
tank, the drip tray and removable shelf regularly and dry them
completely before next use.

3. Werking
3.1. Voor eerste gebruik
Maak seker dat jou espressomasjien behoorlik geaard is
voordat jy dit inprop.
3.2. Voorverhitting
3.2.1. Vul die watertenk met vars water. Moenie die “maksi-
mum” vullyn oorskry nie.
3.2.2. Koppel die masjien aan en druk die aan/af-knoppie.
Die aanwyserliggie sal rooi word, wat aandui dat die toestel
warm word.
3.2.3. Druk die koffieknoppie om water in die interne verhit-
tingstenk te pomp.
3.2.4. Die aanwyserliggie sal groen word wanneer die voor-
verhitting voltooi is, wat gewoonlik ongeveer 2 minute neem.
Jou masjien is nou gereed!
3.3. Espresso maak
3.3.1. Terwyl die masjien voorverhit, plaas gemaalde koffie
in die filter. Maak seker dat die maalgraad nie te grof of te
fyn is nie.
3.3.2. Gebruik die maatlepel om die koffiegronde versigtig
plat te maak en vee dan enige oortollige koffie van die filter
se rand af.
3.3.3. Sodra die koffie gelaai is, sluit die filter stewig in die
boonste binneste gedeelte van die toestel. Plaas jou koppie
direk onder die filter.
3.3.4. Druk die koffieknoppie een keer om die espressovloei
te begin. Wanneer jy die verlangde hoeveelheid het, druk die
koffieknoppie weer om te stop. Wag ‘n paar sekondes vir
enige laaste drup om op te hou.
3.4. Warmwaterfunksie
3.4.1. Druk die aan/af-knoppie (indien dit nie reeds aan is
nie) om te verseker dat die aanwyserliggie rooi is en die
toestel begin verhit.
3.4.2. Die aanwyserliggie sal groen word sodra die verhitting
voltooi is. Draai die stoombeheerknop stadig totdat warm
water uit die spuitstuk kom.
(Indien geen water uitkom nie: Druk die koffieknoppie om
water uit die tenk te pomp, draai dan weer die stoombe-
heerknop.)
3.4.3. Nadat warm water uitgegooi is, draai die stoombeheer-
knop na die ‘0’-posisie en druk die aan/af-knoppie om die
masjien af te skakel.
3.5. Melkskuimfunksie
3.5.1. Druk die stoomknoppie. Die aanwyserliggie sal rooi
word soos dit warm word, dan groen wanneer dit gereed is
vir skuim.
3.5.2. Gooi koue melk in ‘n beker en vul dit ongeveer 1/3 vol.
Dompel die stoomspuitstuk ongeveer 1 cm diep in die melk.
3.5.3. Draai die stoombeheerknop stadig antikloksgewys.
Stoom sal uit die skuimtoestel begin kom.
(Belangrik: Die stoomintensiteit is verstelbaar. Laat altyd enige
kondensasiewater uit die stoompyp vry voordat jy skuim deur
die knop kortliks van die melk af te draai.)
3.5.4. Sodra jou melk ongeveer 75°C (167°F) of jou
verlangde tekstuur bereik, druk die stoomknoppie om die
toestel af te skakel.
3.5.5. Vee die stoompyp en spuitstuk onmiddellik met ‘n nat
lap af na skuim.
Wenk: As melk vassteek, skakel die stoomfunksie kortliks
weer aan om dit skoon te maak.
4. Skoonmaak:
4.1. Skakel die kragbron af en laat die koffiemasjien heeltemal
afkoel voordat jy dit skoonmaak.
4.2. Maak die behuising van die koffiemasjien gereeld skoon
met ‘n vogbestande spons. Maak die watertenk, die drupbak
en verwyderbare rak gereeld skoon en droog dit heeltemal af
voor die volgende gebruik.
