REGISTER YOUR MELLERWARE WARRANTY
Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR – 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
Should defects due to faulty parts or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.
Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from
the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.
Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or
better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration. Should
you not register the product within the 12 months of purchase, you will

THIRD YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional
third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your
warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed
to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
•Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
• The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
•You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
•All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.
7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-
der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre
or service agent for any service or repair requirements.
8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date
of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.
9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the
warranty period.
10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,
this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or
liable for any circumstances not under the brand’s control.
11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers’ account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers’ written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a
reasonable time and maintain the condition of the product as received. All
repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

3.2.7. Wanneer jy jou verlangde konsekwentheid bereik het, stop die
toestel deur jou hand te los en trek reguit op om te verwyder.
3.2.8. Druk die fles af om die toestel te begin gebruik.
LET WEL: Moenie oorvul nie! Om te verhoed dat dit mors, moenie
bestanddele verby die “Max”-vullyn byvoeg nie.
3.2.9. Draai die pot regop en verwyder die lem-samestelling deur dit
linksom te draai.
3.2.10. Dit is raadsaam om die lemmetjie aan ‘n leë fles te stoor
wanneer dit nie gebruik word nie.
3.2.11. Maak seker dat die hoofliggaam ontkoppel is wanneer dit nie
gebruik word nie.
3.3. Sodra jy die toestel klaar gebruik het:
3.3.1. Ontkoppel die toestel van die stroomnet.
3.3.2. Trek die pot op en verwyder dit uit die hoofliggaam.
3.3.3. Lig die fles van die hoofliggaam af.
3.3.4. Laat afkoel.
3.3.5. Maak die toestel skoon.
3.4. Meul bykomstigheid:
3.4.1. Maak die lembevestigingsring oop deur dit antikloksgewys
te draai.
3.4.2. Gooi die bestanddele in die meul (slegs droë bestanddele).
Moenie dit oorvul nie.
3.4.3. Skroef die lembevestigingsring in die meul deur dit kloksgewys
te draai en maak seker dit is reg vasgemaak.
3.4.4. Draai die meul onderstebo en plaas dit op die hoofliggaam,
pas die gleuwe op die hoofliggaam in, die eenheid is gereed vir
gebruik. (prent 2)
3.4.5. Druk die meul af om die toestel te begin gebruik.
3.4.6. Wanneer jy jou verlangde konsekwentheid bereik het, stop die
toestel deur jou hand te los en trek reguit op om te verwyder.
3.5. Sodra jy die meuleenheid klaar gebruik het:
3.5.1. Stop die toestel en laat die druk oor die fles of die meul los.
3.5.2. Lig die pot van die motorliggaam af.
3.5.3. Laat afkoel.
3.5.4. Maak die toestel skoon.
3.6. Veiligheid termiese beskermer:
3.6.1. Die toestel het ‘n veiligheidstoestel wat die toestel teen
oorverhitting beskerm.
3.6.2. As die toestel homself afskakel en homself nie weer aanskakel
nie, ontkoppel dit van die hooftoevoer en wag ongeveer 15 minute
voordat dit weer gekoppel word. As die masjien nie weer begin nie,
soek gemagtigde tegniese bystand.
4. Skoonmaak en onderhoud:
4.1. Ontkoppel die toestel van die stroomnet en laat dit afkoel voordat
jy enige skoonmaaktaak aanpak.
4.2. Maak die toerusting skoon met ‘n klam lap met ‘n paar druppels
opwasmiddel en droog dan af.
4.3. Moenie oplosmiddels, of produkte met ‘n suur of basis pH
soos bleikmiddel, of skuurmiddels, gebruik om die toestel skoon
te maak nie.
4.4. Moenie toelaat dat water of enige ander vloeistof in die luggate
inkom nie om skade aan die binneste dele van die toestel te voorkom.
4.5. Moet nooit die toestel in water of enige ander vloeistof dompel of
dit onder lopende water plaas nie.
4.6. Wees veral versigtig met die lemme tydens die skoonmaak-
proses, aangesien dit baie skerp is.
4.7. Dit is raadsaam om die toestel gereeld skoon te maak en enige
voedselreste te verwyder.
4.8. As die toestel nie in ‘n goeie toestand van skoonheid is nie,
kan die oppervlak daarvan verneder en die duur van die toestel se
nuttige lewensduur onvermydelik beïnvloed en kan dit onveilig word
om te gebruik.
4.9. Die volgende stukke kan in ‘n skottelgoedwasser (met ‘n sagte
skoonmaakprogram) of seepwarm water gewas word:
- Bladbevestigingsring
- To-Go deksel
- 0.5L fles
- Shaker deksel
- Seël deksel
- 150 ml meul
- Lemmet seëlring
- Potlemme
- Meul lem
4.10. Die dreineer-/droogposisie van die artikels wat in die skot-
telgoedwasser of in die wasbak gewas kan word, moet die water
maklik laat wegvloei.
4.11. Droog dan alle dele voor dit saamgevoeg en gestoor word.
4.12. Verwyderbare lemme vir effektiewe skoonmaak:
• Verwyder die lembevestigingsring, lemstel, lemseëlring en maak
dit skoon.
• Na skoonmaak, vervang die lem-samestelling en heg dit aan die
fles of die meul deur dit kloksgewys te draai.
5. Anomalieë en herstel:
5.1. Neem die toestel na ‘n gemagtigde ondersteuningsentrum as die
produk beskadig is of ander probleme ervaar.
5.2. As die aansluiting op die hoofstroom beskadig is, moet dit ver-
vang word en moet u voortgaan soos u sou in die geval van skade.
6. Herwinning
6.1. Hierdie elektriese produkte, kabels, batterye, verpakking en die
handleiding moet nie met algemene huishoudelike afval gemeng word
nie. Vir behoorlike herwinning, neem hierdie produkte na u naaste
kantoor vir Creative Housewares, waar dit gratis aanvaar word vir
herwinning.

2. Safety advice and warnings!
Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance
and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe
these instructions could lead to an accident. Clean all the parts of the
product that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning
section, before use.
2.1. Use or working environment.
2.1.1. Keep the working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark
areas invite accidents.
2.1.2. Use the appliance in a well ventilated area.
2.1.3. Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as cooking
plates, gas burners, ovens or similar items.
2.1.4. Keep children and bystanders away when using this appliance.
2.1.5. Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable surface suitable
for withstanding high temperatures and away from other heat sources
and contact with water.
2.1.6. Keep the appliance away from flammable material such as
textiles, curtains, cardboard or paper, etc.
2.1.7. Do not place flammable material near the appliance.
2.1.8. Do not use the appliance in association with a programmer,
timer or other device that automatically switches it on.
2.1.9. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
2.1.10. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches
the mains power supply voltage before plugging in the appliance.
2.1.11. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply with an earth
socket withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.
2.1.12. The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains power supply
socket properly. Do not alter the plug.
2.1.13. If using a multi-plug check ratings carefully as the current used
by several appliances could easily exceed the rating of the multi plug.
2.1.14. If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect
the appliance from the mains power supply to prevent the possibility
of an electric shock.
2.1.15. Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor or if there
are visible signs of damage.
2.1.16. Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift
up, carry or unplug the appliance.
2.1.17. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
2.1.18. Do not clip or crease the power cord.
2.1.19. Do not allow the power cord to hang or to come into contact
with the hot surfaces of the appliance.
2.1.20. Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
2.1.21. The appliance is not suitable for outdoor use.
2.1.22. Power cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage,
and if the cord is damaged, the appliance must not be used.

2.2. Personal safety:
2.2.1. CAUTION: Do not leave the appliance unattended during use as
there is a risk of an accident.
2.2.2. Do not touch the heated parts of the appliance, as it may cause
serious burns.
2.2.3. This appliance is only for domestic use, not for industrial or
professional use. It is not intended to be used by guests in hospitality
environments such as bed and breakfast, hotels, motels, and other
types of residential environments, even in farm houses, areas of the
kitchen staff in shops, offices and other work environments.
2.2.4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including chil-
dren) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given super-vision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
2.2.5. This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Fully extend the appliance’s supply cord before each use.
2.3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or accessories are not
properly fitted or are defective.
2.3.3. Do not use the appliance while the jar is empty.
2.3.4. Do not move the appliance while in use.
2.3.5. Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not turn it over.
2.3.6. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected
to the mains.
2.3.7. Do not force the appliance’s work capacity.
2.3.8. Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or persons
with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and
knowledge.
2.3.9. Make sure that dust, dirt or other foreign objects do not block
the fan grill on the appliance.
2.3.10. Keep the appliance in good condition. Check that the moving
parts are not misaligned or jammed and make sure there are no broken
parts or anomalies that may prevent the appliance from operating
correctly.
2.3.11. Use the appliance and its accessories and tools in accordance
with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use the appliance for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
2.3.12. Never use liquids that are boiling or ingredients whose
temperature exceeds 80ºC.
2.3.13. Do not use the jar immediately after taking it out of the dish-
washer or the refrigerator, ensure that the jar is at room temperature.
2.3.14. Check that the blade fixing ring is closed properly before
starting the appliance.
2.3.15. Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if
is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
2.3.16. Do not use the appliance for more than 30 seconds at a time.
In case of operate in cycles; allow the appliance a resting period of
at least 180 seconds between each cycle. Under no circumstances
should the appliance be operated for more time than necessary.
2.3.17. Do not use the appliance with frozen goods or those containing
bones.
2.3.18. CAUTION: Do not use the appliance if the jar or grinder cup are
cracked or broken.
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by suitably quali-
fied technician, and that only original spare parts or accessories are
used to replace existing parts/accessories.
2.4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person must replace it in order to avoid
a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instruc-tions for use renders
the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
3. Instructions for use:
3.1. Before use:
3.1.1. Remove the appliance’s protective film (if applicable).
3.1.2. Before using the product for the first time, clean in the manner
described in the cleaning section.
3.2. Use:

3.2.1. Extend the supply cord completely before plugging it in.
3.2.2. Place the main body on a clean, dry, level surface such as a
counter or table top.
3.2.3. Make sure the appliance is unplugged.
3.2.4. Add ingredients to the jar.
3.2.5. Fit the blade with the sealing ring into the blade fixing ring and
screw it into the cup. Make sure it is secured correctly. (Image 1)
3.2.6. Turn the jar upside down and place it onto the main body,
aligning the slots on the main body, the unit is ready for use. (Image 2)
3.2.7. When you have reached your desired consistency, stop the
appliance by releasing your hand and pull straight up to remove.
3.2.8. Press the jar down to start using the appliance.
NOTE: Do not overfill! To avoid spilling, do not add ingredients past
the “Max” fill line.
3.2.9. Turn the jar upright and remove the blade assembly by turning
it counterclockwise.
3.2.10. Is advisable to store the Blade Assembly attached to an empty
jar when not in use.
3.2.11. Make sure that the main body is unplugged when not in use.
3.3. Once you have finished using the appliance:
3.3.1. Unplug the appliance from the mains.
3.3.2. Pull the jar up and remove it from the main body.
3.3.3. Lift the jar from the main body.
3.3.4. Allow to cool.
3.3.5. Clean the appliance.
3.4. Mill accessory:
3.4.1. Open the blade fixing ring by turning it in anticlockwise direction.
3.4.2. Put the ingredients into the mill (only dry ingredients). Do not
overfill it.
3.4.3. Screw the blade fixing ring into the mill turning it clockwise and
make sure it’s secured correctly.
3.4.4. Turn the mill upside down and place it onto the main body, align-
ing the slots on the main body, the unit is ready for use. (Image 2)
3.4.5. Press the mill down to start using the appliance.
3.4.6. When you have reached your desired consistency, stop the
appliance by releasing your hand and pull straight up to remove.
3.5. Once you have finished using the mill unit:
3.5.1. Stop the appliance, releasing the pressure over the jar or the
mill.
3.5.2. Lift the jar from the motor body.
3.5.3. Allow to cool.
3.5.4. Clean the appliance.
3.6. Safety thermal protector:
3.6.1. The appliance has a safety device, which protects the appliance
from overheating.
3.6.2. If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on
again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait for approximately
15 minutes before reconnecting. If the machine does not start again
seek authorised technical assistance.
4. Cleaning and maintenance:
4.1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool
before undertaking any cleaning task.
4.2. Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of
washing-up liquid and then dry.
4.3. Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as
bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
4.4. Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid
damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
4.5. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or place
it under running water.
4.6. During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as
they are very sharp.
4.7. It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any
food remains.
4.8. If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface
may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance’s
useful life and could become unsafe to use.

4.10. The draining/drying position of the articles washable in the

4.11. Then dry all parts before its assembly and storage.
4.12. Removable blades for effective cleaning:
• Remove the blade fixing ring, blade set, blade sealing ring and
clean them.
• After cleaning, replace the blade assembly and attach it to the jar or
the mill by turning it clockwise.
5. Anomalies and repair:
5.1. Take the appliance to an authorised support centre if product is
damaged or other problems arise.

2. Veiligheidsadvies en waarskuwings!
Lees hierdie instruksies sorgvuldig deur voordat u die toestel aan-
skakel en hou dit vir toekomstige verwysing. Versuim om hierdie
instruksies te volg en op te let kan lei tot ‘n ongeluk. Maak al die dele
van die produk wat met voedsel in aanraking kom, soos aangedui in

2.1. Gebruik of werksomgewing:
2.1.1. Hou die werkarea skoon en goed belig. Roerige en donker

2.1.2. Gebruik die apparaat in ‘n goed geventileerde area.
2.1.3. Plaas die apparaat nie op warm oppervlaktes soos kookplate,

2.1.4. Hou kinders en omstanders weg wanneer u hierdie toestel
gebruik.
2.1.5. Plaas die apparaat op ‘n horisontale, plat, stabiele oppervlak

2.3.8. Berg hierdie toestel buite bereik van kinders en/of persone met
fisiese, sensoriese of verminderde verstandelike of gebrek aan ervaring
en kennis.
2.3.9. Maak seker dat stof, vuilheid of ander vreemde voorwerpe nie
die waaierrooster op die toestel blokkeer nie.
2.3.10. Hou die toestel in ‘n goeie toestand. Kontroleer dat die bewe-
gende dele nie verkeerd in lyn is of vasgesteek is nie en maak seker
dat daar geen gebreekte dele of onreëlmatighede is wat die toestel kan
verhoed om korrek te werk nie.
2.3.11. Gebruik die toestel en sy bykomstighede en gereedskap in
ooreenstemming met hierdie instruksies, met inagneming van die
werksomstandighede en die werk wat verrig moet word. Gebruik die
toestel vir ander bedrywighede as wat bedoel is, kan ‘n gevaarlike
situasie tot gevolg hê.
2.3.12. Moet nooit vloeistowwe gebruik wat kook of bestanddele
waarvan die temperatuur 80ºC oorskry nie.
2.3.13. Moenie die fles dadelik gebruik nadat dit uit die skot-
telgoedwasser of die yskas gehaal is nie, maak seker dat die fles by
kamertemperatuur is.
2.3.14. Kontroleer dat die lembevestigingsring behoorlik toe is voordat
die toestel begin.
2.3.15. Moet nooit die toestel gekoppel en sonder toesig laat as
is nie in gebruik nie. Dit bespaar energie en verleng die leeftyd van
die toestel.
2.3.16. Moenie die toestel vir meer as 30 sekondes op ‘n slag gebruik
nie. In die geval van werk in siklusse; laat die toestel ‘n rusperiode van
ten minste 180 sekondes tussen elke siklus toe. Die toestel moet onder

maak die waarborg en die vervaardiger se aanspreeklikheid nietig.

3.1. Voor gebruik:
3.1.1. Verwyder die toestel se beskermende film (indien van
toepassing).
3.1.2. Voordat u die produk vir die eerste keer gebruik, maak skoon op
die manier wat in die skoonmaakafdeling beskryf word.
