Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.
Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal
domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from
the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.
Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or
better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

Should you experience any technical difculties you are welcome to

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration. Should
you not register the product within the 12 months of purchase, you will
automatically forfeit this extended warranty.
THIRD YEAR OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional
third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your
warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed
to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.
7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-
der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre
or service agent for any service or repair requirements.
8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date
of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.
9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the
warranty period.
10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,
this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or
liable for any circumstances not under the brands control.
11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a
repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

must be replaced and you should proceed as you would in

7. Recycling:
7.1. These electrical products, cables, batteries, packaging,
and the manual, should not be mixed with general household
waste. For proper recycling, please take these products to
your nearest Creative Housewares office where they will be
accepted for recycling free of charge.
7.2. Alternatively, please contact your local authority or
household waste disposal service for further details of your
nearest designated collection point. Correct product disposal
saves resources and prevents negative effects on human
health and the environment.

3.3. Selfreinigende modus:
3.3.1. Om die selfreinigende modus te begin, druk en
hou die aan/uit-knoppie vir 3 sekondes terwyl die masjien

4. Skoonmaak:
4.1.1. Verwyder die ysemmer van die masjien.
4.1.2. Vind die silikoonprop aan die onderkant van die mas-
jien, maak dit oop en dreineer al die water uit die tenk.
4.1.3. Gebruik ‘n sagte lap verdun met ‘n neutrale skoon-
maakmiddel of louwarm water om die watertenk en die
buitekant van die masjien skoon te maak.
4.1.4. Spoel die binnekant met skoon water af.
4.1.5. Plaas die silikoonprop weer aan die onderkant van die
masjien terug en maak seker dat dit stewig vas is.
4.1.6. Daaglikse onderhoud is noodsaaklik om die ysmas-
jien skoon en higiënies te hou. Met verloop van tyd kan
veranderinge in temperatuur, watergehalte en produkver-
aandag aan die daaglikse onderhoud van die watertenk om
dit skoon te hou.
4.1.7. ‘n Reuk in die ys kan te wyte wees aan watergehalte.
Dit is nie ‘n fout nie en sal tipies na die eerste paar gebruike
verdwyn. As die reuk voortduur, word dit aanbeveel om ‘n
ysmasjienreiniger of sitroensuur te gebruik om die masjien
skoon te maak. Moenie ys met ‘n reuk inneem om ongemak
of siekte te voorkom nie.
4.1.8. Om ysgehalte te verseker, vervang die water gereeld.
4.1.9. As die ysmasjien nie vir ‘n lang tyd gebruik gaan word
nie, skakel die krag af, ontkoppel die masjien en dreineer
enige oorblywende water uit die dreineringsuitlaat. Bêre die

Read these instructions carefully before switching on the
appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow
and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.
Clean all the parts of the product, as indicated in the cleaning
section, before use.
2.1. Use or working environment:
2.1.1. Keep the working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and
dark areas invite accidents.
2.1.2. Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area.
2.1.3. Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as
cooking plates, gas burners, ovens or similar items.
2.1.4. Keep children and bystanders away when using this
appliance.
2.1.5. Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable surface
and away from other heat sources and contact with water.
2.1.6. Keep the appliance away from flammable material
such as textiles, curtains, cardboard or paper, etc.
2.1.7. Do not place flammable material near the appliance.
2.1.8. Do not use the appliance in association with a pro-
grammer, timer or other device that automatically switches
it on.
2.1.9. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is
damaged.
2.1.10. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label
matches the mains power supply voltage before plugging in
the appliance.
2.1.11. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply

industrial or professional use. It is not intended to be used by
guests in hospitality environments such as bed and breakfast,
hotels, motels, and other types of residential environments,
even in farm houses, areas of the kitchen staff in shops,
offices and other work environments.
2.2.4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
2.2.5. This appliance is not a toy. Children should be super-
vised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each
use.
2.3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or accessories
are not properly fitted.
2.3.3. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or
connected to the mains power supply.
2.3.4. Use the appliance handle/s, to carry it or
move it.(if aplicable).
2.3.5. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in
use or connected to the mains.
2.3.6. This appliance should be stored out of reach of
children.
2.3.7. Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
2.3.8. Never leave the appliance unattended when
in use and keep out of the reach of children, as
this is an electrical appliance that reaches high
temperatures and may cause serious burns. (if applicable).
2.3.9. If for some reason, the appliance were to catch fire,
disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply and
DO NOT USE WATER TO PUT THE FIRE OUT.
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by suit-
ably qualified technician, and that only original spare parts or
2.4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person must replace it in
order to avoid a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for
use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability
null and void.
2.5. Opening the package:
2.5.1.Remove all the external and internal packages and
check if all parts are inside.
2.5.2. Take out the ice storage bucket and wash it in clean
water. Use clean water to wash the water tank.
2.5.3. Wash the evaporator columns with clean water or
alcohol.
2.5.4. Please keep the ice maker away from direct sunlight,
heat or radiation. Place the ice maker horizontally and make
sure there is at 15cm gap between the sides and rear.
3. Operation:
3.1. Before first use:
3.1.1. Before using the ice maker for the first time, it is highly
recommended to clean the entire machine thoroughly, as
outlined in the “Cleaning” section.
3.1.2. If the machine is new or has not been used for a
long time, flush the water tank and drain the water from the
drainage outlet. This helps to remove any residual odour or
dust particles.
3.1.3. Discard the ice from the first two cycles of ice
production.
3.1.4. When you first connect the machine to the power
supply, the initial ice cubes produced may be smaller. This is
not a malfunction.
3.2. Use:
3.2.1. Open the front cover, remove the ice bucket, and add
water to the water tank. The water level should not exceed the
maximum fill line.
3.2.2. Place the ice bucket back into the machine, ensuring
it is properly seated. If it is not in place, press gently on the
bottom of the bucket until it is securely installed.
3.2.3. Press the “ON/OFF” button on the control panel to start
the machine. The power indicator light will turn on, and the
machine will begin making ice.
3.2.4. The first ice-making cycle takes approximately 9
minutes. The size of the ice cubes depends on the water and
ambient temperatures.
3.2.5. Regularly check the water level in the tank. If the water
level is too low, the pump will not be able to function, and the
ice maker will stop automatically. The low water indicator will
light up, and the buzzer will beep. To resume operation, fill the
water tank to below the maximum level and press the “ON/
OFF” button again.
3.2.6. When the ice bucket is full, the machine will
automatically stop making ice. The “full” indicator light will
turn on, and the buzzer will beep. Ice production will resume
automatically once the ice level drops below the infrared
detection position.
3.2.7. To stop or cancel the ice-making process, press the
“ON/OFF” button. This will place the machine in standby
mode.
3.2.8. It is recommended to change the water every 24 hours
to maintain cleanliness. If the machine will not be used for a
long time, unplug it and drain all the water from the tank, then
wipe the tank dry.
Important note:
Do not use water or other liquids containing impuri-
ties or solid particles.
Do not use chemicals such as alcohol, steel wool, or
hard brushes to clean the surface of the product.
Do not expose the power cord or packaging acces-
sories to direct sunlight.
Do not tilt the machine, as this may cause the cooling
system to malfunction.
3.3. Self- Cleaning:
3.3.1. To start the self-cleaning mode, press and hold the
power button for 3 seconds while the machine is operating
normally. The pump will begin working, circulating water from
the tank to the ice box for approximately 10 minutes before
automatically entering standby mode.
3.3.2. You can exit the self-cleaning mode at any time by
pressing the power button.
4. Cleaning:
4.1.1. Remove the ice bucket from the machine.
4.1.2. Locate the silicone plug at the bottom of the machine,
open it, and drain all the water from the tank.
4.1.3. Using a soft cloth diluted with a neutral cleaner or
lukewarm water, clean the water tank and the exterior of the
machine.
4.1.4. Rinse the interior with clean water.
4.1.5. Reinstall the silicone plug at the bottom of the
machine, ensuring it is secure.
4.1.6. Daily maintenance is crucial for keeping the ice maker
clean and hygienic. Over time, changes in temperature, water
quality, and product aging can lead to scale, mold, and rust
in the ice. Pay close attention to the daily maintenance of the
water tank to keep it clean.
4.1.7. An odour in the ice may be due to water quality. It is

3. Werking:
3.1. Voor eerste gebruik:
3.1.1. Voordat u die ysmasjien vir die eerste keer gebruik,
word dit sterk aanbeveel om die hele masjien deeglik skoon
te maak, soos uiteengesit in die afdeling “Skoonmaak”.
3.1.2. Indien die masjien nuut is of lank nie gebruik is nie,
spoel die watertenk en dreineer die water uit die dreinering-
suitlaat. Dit help om enige oorblywende reuk of stofdeeltjies
te verwyder.
3.1.3. Gooi die ys van die eerste twee siklusse van
ysproduksie weg.
3.1.4. Wanneer u die masjien vir die eerste keer aan die
kragtoevoer koppel, kan die aanvanklike ysblokkies wat
geproduseer word, kleiner wees. Dit is nie ‘n wanfunksie nie.
3.2. Gebruik:
3.2.1. Maak die voorste deksel oop, verwyder die ysemmer
en voeg water by die watertenk. Die watervlak moet nie die
maksimum vullyn oorskry nie.
3.2.2. Plaas die ysemmer terug in die masjien en maak
seker dat dit behoorlik vas is. Indien dit nie in plek is nie,
druk liggies op die onderkant van die emmer totdat dit stewig
geïnstalleer is.
3.2.3. Druk die “AAN/AF”-knoppie op die beheerpaneel om
die masjien te begin. Die krag-aanwyserliggie sal aanskakel
en die masjien sal ys begin maak.
3.2.4. Die eerste ysmaaksiklus duur ongeveer 9 minute.
Die grootte van die ysblokkies hang af van die water- en
omgewingstemperature.
3.2.5. Kontroleer die watervlak in die tenk gereeld. As die
watervlak te laag is, sal die pomp nie kan funksioneer nie en
die ysmaker sal outomaties stop. Die lae water-aanwyser sal
aanskakel en die zoemer sal piep. Om die werking te hervat,
vul die watertenk tot onder die maksimum vlak en druk weer
die “AAN/AF”-knoppie.
3.2.6. Wanneer die ysemmer vol is, sal die masjien outoma-
ties ophou om ys te maak. Die “vol”-aanwyserliggie sal
aanskakel en die zoemer sal piep. Ysproduksie sal outomaties
hervat sodra die ysvlak onder die infrarooi-deteksieposisie
daal.
3.2.7. Om die ysmaakproses te stop of te kanselleer, druk
die “AAN/AF”-knoppie. Dit sal die masjien in bystandmodus
plaas.
3.2.8. Dit word aanbeveel om die water elke 24 uur te
vervang om skoonheid te handhaaf. Indien die masjien vir ‘n
lang tyd nie gebruik gaan word nie, ontkoppel die stekker en
dreineer al die water uit die tenk, en vee dan die tenk droog.
