designedandmanufacturednottoexceedtheemissionlimits for

exposuretoradiofrequency(RF)energy setbytheFederal

Communications CommissionoftheU.S.Government.Theselimits

arepartofcomprehensiveguidelines andestablishpermittedlevels

ofRFenergyforthegeneralpopulation.Theguidelines arebased

on standards thatweredevelopedbyindependent scientific

organizations throughperiodicandthoroughevaluationof

scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin

designedtoassurethe safetyofallpersons,regardless ofageand

health.

Theexposure standardforwireless mobilephones employs aunitof

measurementknownas theSpecificAbsorptionRate,orSAR.TheSARlimit set

bytheFCCis 1.6W/kg.*Tests forSARareconductedwiththephone

transmittingatits highestcertifiedpowerlevelinalltestedfrequencybands.

AlthoughtheSARis determinedatthehighestcertifiedpowerlevel,theactual

SARlevelofthephonewhileoperatingcanbewellbelowthemaximumvalue.

This is becausethephoneis designedtooperateatmultiplepowerlevels soas to

useonlythepowerrequiredtoreachthenetwork.Ingeneral,thecloseryouare

toawireless base stationantenna,thelowerthepoweroutput.Beforeaphone

modelis availablefor saletothepublic,itmustbetestedandcertifiedtothe

FCCthatitdoes notexceedthelimitestablishedbythegovernmentadopted

requirementfor safeexposure.Thetests areperformedinpositions and

locations (e.g.,attheearandwornonthebody)as requiredbytheFCCforeach

model.ThehighestSARvalueforthis modelphonewhentestedforuseatthe

earis 0.552W/Kgandwhenwornonthebody,as describedinthis userguide,is

0.834W/Kg(Body-wornmeasurements differamongphonemodels,depending

uponavailableaccessories andFCCrequirements).Themaximum scaledSARin

hotspotmodeis0.834W/Kg.Whiletheremaybedifferences betweentheSAR

levels ofvarious phones andatvarious positions,theyallmeetthegovernment

Body-wornOperation

This devicewas testedfortypicalbody-wornoperations.TocomplywithRF

exposurerequirements,aminimum separationdistanceof10mmmustbe

maintainedbetweentheuser’s bodyandthehandset,includingtheantenna.

Third-partybelt-clips,holsters,and similaraccessories usedbythis device should

notcontainanymetalliccomponents.Body-wornaccessories thatdonotmeet

theserequirements maynotcomplywithRFexposurerequirements and should

beavoided.Useonlythe suppliedoranapprovedantenna.
