Look at the images (1 through 6) for guidance on where to connect
each cable. The numbers in the text correspond to the numbers on
the images.
1. Connect your satellite dish and terrestrial antenna to the
indicated connectors.
2. Connect your broadband Internet router to the Ethernet
interface of the LyngBox using an Ethernet cable.
3a. Depending on TV type LCD/Plasma: Connect an HDMI cable
between the LyngBox and the TV-Set.
3b. CRT: Connect a SCART cable between the LyngBox and the TV-
set.
4. Connect the LyngBox to a wall socket using the power cable.
5. Open the battery lid on the back of the remote control and
insert two AA-batteries.
6. Make sure the mains switch on the back of the LyngBox is set to
on (1).
This part of the quick-start guide describes how to configure the
LyngBox using the installation guide. It is assumed that that the
LyngBox is connected to the Internet. Look at the images (7 through
15) for visual guidance.
7. Press the LyngBox button on the remote control, and then press
the power button to start.
8. You will be presented with a welcome screen where you can
select language. Use the arrow buttons to navigate and the OK
button to confirm.
9. Select your country and a nearby city. If no nearby city can be
found in the list, enter your coordinates.
10. Select how your LyngBox receives its network configuration.
‘Automatic’ (from DHCP) can often be used.
11. Define what DiSEqC equipment you have, if any.
12. Select the size of your satellite dish.
13. Select type for each LNB, and which satellite it is directed
towards.
14. Select if you want to do a terrestrial channel search (if there is a
terrestrial antenna connected).
15. The LyngBox will synchronize its satellite channel lists with
LyngSat Maps and LyngSat and then search for terrestrial
channels.
Installation is now complete and you can start enjoying your new
LyngBox. Read the user manual for further assistance.
