The Quick Reference guide is given to provide basic operation of the unit.

Please completely read the user’s guide to take advantage of all the features

this unit has to offer.

TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO:

1. For best sound quality, extend both speakers outward.

2. Slide the OFF/ON switch to ON to turn the unit on.

3. Slide the FUNCTION switch to select AM or FM.

4. Tune a desired station by rotating the TUNING control.

5. Adjust the VOLUME control as desired.

6. To turn the unit off, slide the OFF/ON switch to OFF.

TO PLAY A CD:

1. For best sound quality, extend both speakers outward.

2. Slide the OFF/ON switch to ON to turn the unit on.

3. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the CD position.

4. W PLAY/PAUSE (ith a CD inserted, press the ®p) button to start playback.

5. Adjust the VOLUME control as desired.

6. To skip forward or backward through the tracks on the disc, press the

Skip/Search o or nbutton. To search forward or backward through a specif-

ic track on the disc, press and hold the Skip/Search o or button.n

7. When the disc is through playing, it will stop. Press the Stop (■) button to

stop the disc before it is ﬁnished.

8. To turn the unit off, slide the OFF/ON switch to OFF.

TO PLAY BACK THE TRACKS RANDOMLY

1. To play the tracks on the CD in a random order, simply press the RANDOM but-

ton. If you are in the Stop mode, you will also need to press the PLAY/PAUSE

(®p) button to start playback.

2. To cancel Random play, press the RANDOM button again.

TO REPEAT PLAY BACK ONE TRACK/ALL TRACKS:

1. Follow steps 1 to 3 in the TO PLAY A CD section on the previous page.

2a.ONE TRACK REPEAT: Select a track using the Skip/Search oor button.n

Press the REPEAT ( ) button once, " " will blink in the display. Press the

PLAY/PAUSE ( button and the unit will play the selected track over and®p)

over until the Stop ( button is pressed.■)

2b.ALL TRACKS REPEAT: Press the REPEAT ( ) button twice, " " will light

solid in the display. Press the Play/Pause (®p) button and the unit will play all

tracks on the CD over and over until the Stop ( button is pressed.■)

3. To cancel Repeat play, repeatedly press the REPEAT ( ) button until " "

disappears from the display.

This product utilizes a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs. This laser Compact Disc Player

is equipped with safety switches to avoid exposure when the CD door is open and the safe-

ty interlocks are defeated. Invisible and hazardous laser radiation when open and interlock

failed or defeated. Avoid direct exposure to beam. Please do not attempt to defeat or bypass

the safety switches.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

● 10cm minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilations

● the ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings

with items such as newspaper,table-cloths, curtains etc

● no naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the

apparatus;

● attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal;

● the use of apparatus in moderate climates
