Thank you for choosing the LANAFORM PDS-100

scales. Accurate and easy to use, it measures your

weight and also brightens up your bathroom or

bedroom with its streamlined design.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USING YOUR PDS-100, ESPECIALLY

THIS BASI C SAFETY INFORMATION

• The scales are not suitable for people weighing

over 180kg. Overloading may cause damage to

the scales.

•

Always place the scales on a hard, at, hori-

zontal surface, away from sources of heat such

as stoves, radiators etc.

• Do not use this device in a room in which aero-

sols (sprays) are used or in a room in which oxygen

is administered.

•

Do not use the device near wet areas, such as

the bath, sink etc.

•

Do not immerse the device in water or any

other liquid.

•

When using the scales, keep them away from

sources of electromagnetic waves such as mi-

crowave ovens, mobile telephones and wireless

networks, as this may aect the measurement.

• To avoid electrocution, do not try to repair the

device yourself.

•

In case of electrostatic failure, remove and

re-install the batteries to resume normal per-

formance.

• If the screen is showing an «Err» error message,

switch o the scales. Then power up again and

follow the instructions.

•

Never leave anything on the scales platform

when not in use.

• When not in use, the scales switch o automat-

ically after a few minutes.

•

This device is not intended for use by people,

including children, with limited physical, sensory

or mental abilities, or by people lacking experi-

ence or knowledge, unless they are supervised or

have been instructed beforehand on how to use

the equipment by someone responsible for their

safety. Children should be supervised to make sure

they do not play with the device.

• Only use the scales for their intended purpose,

as described in the instructions.

INSTALLATION AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT

1 Remove the cover of the battery compartment

located underneath the scales.

Remove the plastic protection on top of the

battery supplied with the scales or insert 1 new

CR2032 (3V) battery. Replace the cover.

3 Place the scales on a hard, at, horizontal surface.

Before you get on the scales, make sure that

the surface of the scales is completely dry and

not slippery.

UNIT SELECTOR FUNCTION

1 Step onto the scales to switch them on.

Press the button on the back of the scales to

select the weight unit you require “kg” or “lb”

or “st”.

3 The weight unit selected will be displayed the

next time the scales are switched on.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1 Step onto the scales to switch them on.

2 “0.0” and the “kg”, “lb” or “st” weight unit will

be displayed on the screen.

The scales will calculate your weight imme-

diately. The calculated weight will ash 3 times

and will then be displayed for a few short seconds.

4 The scales will switch o automatically.

“Err” will be displayed if the scales are overload-

ed (180kg/396lb/28.35st)

6 “LO” will be displayed when the battery is low.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the scales.

• Do not use abrasive detergents.

• If the monitor is not to be used for a long time,

please remove the batteries.

• Store the device in a dry, safe place.

ADVICE REGARDING

THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE

All the packaging is composed of materials that

pose no hazard for the environment and which

can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to

be used as secondary raw materials. The card-

board may be disposed of in a paper recycling

bin. The packaging lm must be taken to your

local sorting and recycling centre.

When you have nished using the device, please

dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way

and in accordance with the law. Prior to disposal,

please remove the battery and dispose of it at a

collection point so that it can be recycled.

Under no circumstances should spent batteries

be disposed of with household waste !

LIMITED WARRANT Y

LANAFORM guarantees this product against any

material or manufacturing defect for a period of

two years from the date of purchase, except in the

circumstances described below.

The LANAFORM guarantee does not cover

damage caused as a result of normal wear to

this product. In addition, the guarantee covering

this LANAFORM product does not cover damage

caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect

use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accesso-

ries, changes made to the product or any other

circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside

LANAFORM’s control.

LANAFORM may not be held liable for any type of

circumstantial, indirect or specic damage.

All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability

of the product are limited to a period of two years

from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy

of the proof of purchase can be supplied.

On receipt, LANAFORM will repair or replace your

appliance at its discretion and will return it to

you. The guarantee is only valid through LANA-

FORM’s Service Centre. Any attempt to maintain

this product by a person other than LANAFORM’s

Service Centre will render this guarantee void.

EN PARTICULIER CES QUELQUES CONSIGNES

DE SECURITE FONDAMENTALES

• La balance ne convient pas pour des personnes

de plus de 180 kgs. Une surcharge peut être la

cause de dommages et de risques pour la balance.

• Placez toujours la balance sur une surface dure,

plane et horizontale, éloignez-la des sources de

chaleur telles que les poêles, radiateurs, etc.

•

N’utilisez pas cet appareil dans une pièce où des

produits aérosols (sprays) sont employés ou dans

une pièce où de l’oxygène est administré.

•

N’utilisez pas l’appareil à proximité de zones

humides, comme la baignoire, l’évier, etc.

•

Ne plongez pas l’appareil dans l’eau ou dans

tout autre liquide.

•

Lorsque la balance est en fonctionnement,

maintenez-la éloignée des sources d’ondes élec-

tromagnétiques comme les fours à micro-ondes,

les téléphones mobiles et les réseaux sans l, car

la pesée risquerait d’être erronée.

•

Pour éviter les risques d’électrocution, n’essayez

pas de réparer l’appareil par vous-même.

• En cas de défaillance électrostatique, retirez et

installez de nouveau les batteries pour retrouver

des performances normales.

Si l’écran indique le message d’erreur « Err »,

éteignez la balance. Ensuite allumez-la et suivez

les instructions.

Ne laissez jamais rien sur la plate-forme de la

balance lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas.

•

La balance s’éteint automatiquement quelques

secondes après avoir été allumée lorsqu’elle n’est

pas utilisée.

• Cet appareil n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par

pacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont

réduites, ou des personnes dénuées d’expérience

INSTALLATION ET

REMPLACEMENT DE LA BATTERIE

Retirez le couvercle du compartiment des piles

situé sous la balance.

2 Retirez la protection en plastique placée au-des-

sus de la pile fournie avec la balance ou insérez 1 pile

neuve CR2032 (3V). Replacez le couvercle.

Placez la balance sur une surface dure, plane

et horizontale.

Avant de vous placer sur la balance, assu-

rez-vous que la surface de la balance est complè-

tement sèche et non glissante.

FONCTION SELECTEUR D’UNITÉ

1 Montez sur la balance pour l’allumer.

Appuyez sur le bouton situé au dos de la balance

pour sélectionner l’unité de poids que vous sou-

haitez « kg », « lb» ou « st ».

L’unité de poids dénie s’ache lorsque la

balance est allumée la fois suivante.

MODE D’EMPLOI

1 Montez sur la balance pour l’allumer.

2 « 0.0 » et l’unité de poids « kg », « lb » ou « st »

s’achent à l’écran.

3 La balance calcule directement votre poids. Le

poids calculé clignote ensuite à 3 reprises pour

enn s’acher pendant quelques brèves secondes.

4 La balance s’éteint automatiquement.

« Err » s’ache lorsque la balance est trop

chargée (180kg/396lb/28.35st)

6 « LO » s’ache lorsque la batterie est faible.

ENTRETIEN ET STOCKAGE

•

Utilisez un chion doux et humide pour nettoyer

la balance.

• N’utilisez pas de détergents abrasifs.

•

Enlevez les piles en cas d’inutilisation prolongée

de l’appareil.

• Rangez l’appareil dans un endroit sec et sûr.

CONSEILS RELATIFS À

L’ÉLIMINATION DES DÉCHETS

L’emballage est entièrement composé de matériaux

sans danger pour l’environnement qui peuvent être

déposés auprès du centre de tri de votre commune

pour être utilisés comme matières secondaires.

Le carton peut être placé dans un bac de collecte

papier. Les lms d’emballage doivent être remis

au centre de tri et de recyclage de votre commune.

Lorsque vous ne vous servez plus de l’appareil,

éliminez-le de manière respectueuse de l’environ-

nement et conformément aux directives légales.

Retirez préalablement la pile et déposez-la dans

une borne de collecte an qu’elle soit recyclée.

Les piles usées ne doivent en aucune façon être

mises aux ordures ménagères !

GARANTIE LIMITÉE

LANAFORM garantit que ce produit est exempt de

tout vice de matériau et de fabrication à compter

de sa date d’achat et ce pour une période de deux

ans, à l’exception des précisions ci-dessous.

La garantie LANAFORM ne couvre pas les dom-

mages causés suite à une usure normale de ce

produit. En outre, la garantie sur ce produit LA-

NAFORM ne couvre pas les dommages causés à la

suite de toute utilisation abusive ou inappropriée

ou encore de tout mauvais usage, accident, xa-

tion de tout accessoire non autorisé, modication

apportée au produit ou de toute autre condition,

de quelle que nature que ce soit, échappant au

contrôle de LANAFORM.

LANAFORM ne sera pas tenue pour responsable

de tout type de dommage accessoire, consécutif

ou spécial.

Toutes les garanties implicites d’aptitude du

produit sont limitées à une période de deux
