INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for your interest in LanaformâsÂŽ FAMILY CARE. This humidifier uses a high frequency ultrasound oscillator to
break the water down into minute particles with a diameter of some 1 to 5 Îźm.
The ventilation system diffuses the water in the form of cold vapour and thus provides the desired humidity. This vapour
is characterised by a light mist leaving the diffuser.
PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER, IN PARTICULAR THESE FEW
FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY RULES:
⢠Only use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual.
⢠This device was not designed for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or people lacking experience or knowledge, unless they have had the benefit of prior supervision, advice
and instruction in using the device from a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
⢠Always position the humidifier on a hard, flat, horizontal surface, at least 15 centimetres from walls and keep away from
heat sources such as cookers, radiators, etc. The humidifier cannot work correctly on a non-horizontal surface.
⢠Check that your mains voltage is compatible with that of the appliance.
⢠Check the power supply lead every time before using the humidifier. If it is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar
lead available from the manufacturer or its after-sales department.
⢠Never attempt to plug or unplug this appliance if you are in contact with water or in a damp environment. This could
result in the risk of electric shock.
⢠Never remove the base unit.
⢠Do not use this appliance if the plug is damaged, if it is not working correctly, if it has been dropped or if it has fallen
into water. If this is the case, have the appliance inspected and repaired by the supplier or its after-sales department.
⢠DO NOT ADD ANY substance (e.g. perfume, essences, etc.) other than distilled or demineralised water to the tank.
⢠Do not shake the appliance. This could cause water to overflow into the base unit and affect its operation.
⢠Do not leave the humidifier in the sun for long periods.
⢠Always disconnect the appliance from the mains after use and before cleaning it.
⢠Should the appliance fall into water, unplug it immediately before retrieving it.
⢠An electrical appliance should never be left plugged in and unsupervised. Unplug it if you are not using it.
⢠Keep the power lead away from hot surfaces.
⢠Never use this appliance in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used or in a room where oxygen is administered.
⢠This appliance is intended exclusively for family use.
⢠Never obstruct the applianceâs air vents and never place the device on an unstable surface such as a carpet or mattress.
This could prevent air circulation. Make sure that the air vents are not clogged with hair, lint, dust, etc. Do not insert any
objects into the air vents.
⢠If there is water leaking from the appliance or if there is an unusual smell during use, switch the appliance off, unplug it
and return it to the supplier or after-sales department.
⢠Disconnect the appliance before cleaning it or removing the tank.
⢠Never touch the water and the immersed components when the unit is in operation.
⢠Never switch on the humidifier if there is no water in the tank.
⢠Never scratch the transducer.
