USINGYOURKETTLEFORTHEFIRSTTIME
Carefullyunpackyourkettleandremoveanypackaging.Thekettleiscordlessandits360°baseissuitablefor
leftorright-handeduse.Placethekettleandbaseonalevel,sturdyanddrysurface,wellawayfromtheedge.
Wrapanyexcesscordbeneaththebase,forsafety,andpulltheremainingcordthroughthenotchinthebase.
Beforeusingthekettletomakedrinks,werecommendyoufillitwithfreshwaterandboiltwotothreetimes,
discardingthewatereachtime.Thefiltercanalsoberemovedandrinsedincleanwater.
BOILINGWATER
1.Beforeputtingthekettleontoitsbase,makesuretheon/offswitchisintheoffposition(O).Makesurethe
baseisunplugged.
2.Pressthelidreleasetoopenthelid.Liftthekettleoffitsbaseandfillwithfresh,coldwaterthroughthelid
opening.
3.Putthekettlebackonitsbaseandcheckthewaterlevel,payingattentiontotheMAXmarkandthe
minimum2cupmark.Boilingwatermayescapeifthekettleisoverfilled.
4.Closethelid.Plugthepowercordintoasocketandswitchon.Pressthekettleon/offswitch.Thewater
levelwindowswilllightupbluetoshowthekettleisboiling.
5.Thekettlewillswitchoffautomaticallywhenthewaterhasboiled,andthebluelightswillgoout.Thekettle
canbeswitchedoffatanytimebeforethewaterboils,simplybypressingtheon/offswitch.
6.Liftthekettlebyitshandleandpourthewater.Tore-boil,waitfor30secondsbeforepressingtheon/off
switchagain.Donotforcetheswitchasthismaydamagethekettle.
7.Afteruse,thekettleshouldbeemptiedofwaterandstoredonitsbase.Switchoffatthesocketand
unplug.
CAUTION:alwaysmakesurethekettleisswitchedoffbeforeliftingitoffthebase.Topreventscalding,never
openthelidwhenwaterisboilingorsteamiscomingoutofthespout.
BOIL-DRYPROTECTION
Ifthekettleisswitchedonwithtoolittleornowater,itwillcutoutautomaticallytostopitboilingdry.Ifthis
happens,switchoffandunplugthekettleandletitcooldownfor5to10minutes,beforefillingwithwater.The
kettleshouldnowworkasnormal.
HELPFULHINTS
•Alwaysusefresh,coldwatereachtimeyouboilthekettle.
•Insomeareas,waterappearscloudybecauseofcalcium.Thisisnormal,andbecomestransparentwhen
boiled.
•Ensurethelidissecurelyclosedwheneverthekettleisinuse.Ifnot,boilingwatermaysplashoutandthe
kettlewillnotswitchoffautomatically.
•Ifwaterisspilledontothebase,pleaseunplugthekettlefromthemainssocketbeforemoppingupthe
liquid.Ensurethatthebaseandcentralsocketarecompletelydrybeforeusingthekettle.
CAREANDCLEANING
Unplugthekettleandletitcoolcompletelybeforecleaning.Theoutsideofthekettlemaybewipedoverwitha
soft,dampcloth,thenasoft,drycloth.Toremovestubbornmarks,moistentheclothinmildliquiddetergent.Do
notuseharshchemicals,steelwoolorabrasivescourersastheywilldamagethekettle.
CAUTION:neverimmersethekettle,base,cordorpluginwateroranyotherliquid.
DESCALING
Overtime,limescaleintapwatercanbuildupinsidethekettle,reducingitsefficiency.Werecommenddescaling
thekettleregularlyusingaproprietarybrandofdescaler,followingtheinstructionsonthepackaging.Rinsethe
kettlethoroughlyafteruse.Thefrequencywilldependuponthehardnessofwaterwhereyoulive.
Thefilteralsoneedsregularcleaning.Alwaysunplugthekettleandletitcooldownfirst.

2.Rinsethefilterunderwarmwaterandgentlyremoveanyscalebuild-upwithasoftbrush.Ifusinga
