Precautions

Location

Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.

• In direct sunlight

Power supply

Please connect the designated AC adapter to an AC outlet of the correct voltage. Do not connect

it to an AC outlet of voltage other than that for which your unit is intended.

Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate this unit at

a suitable distance from radios and televisions.

Handling

To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.

Flüssigkeiten und Fremdkörper

Installing the batteries

As the batteries run down, the meter display will become darker and the note name indica-

tor will blink. When this occurs, install new batteries as soon as possible.

You must turn off the power switch before replacing the batteries.

The included batteries are provided so that you can verify that the unit operates cor-

rectly, and may have a shorter lifespan than expected.

If the batteries become unusable, remove them immediately. You should also remove

the batteries if you won't be using the tuner for an extended period of time.

Quand les piles sont presque épuisées, le compteur s’assombrit progressivement et l’indicateur

du nom de note clignote. Dans ce cas, installez dès que possible de nouvelles piles.

Mettez l’appareil hors tension avant de remplacer les piles.

Les piles fournies sont destinées à vérifier le bon fonctionnement de votre appareil. Il

est possible que leur durée de vie soit plus courte que la normale.

チューニングの方法

1.［ＳＴＡＮＤＢ

Ｙ/ＯＮ］スイッチを押して電源をオンにします。設定されている基準ピッチ（キャリブレーション値）が約1 秒点灯します。

［ＳＴＡＮＤＢＹ/ＯＮ］スイッチは、押すたびに電源のオンとオフが切り替わります。また、

電源オンのまま入力音が約10分間ないと、自動的に電源がオフになります。

2.［ＤＩＳＰＬＡＹ］スイッチを押して3 種類の表示パターンからひとつを選びます。

びにストロボ・モード→ミラー・モード→メータ−・モードの順番で切り替わります。

表示パターンによってチューニング状態の見方が違います。（「表示パターン」を参照）

本体中央の文字表示部に、設定値が表示されるのを確認します。

約１秒以上押し続けると設定値が連続的に変化します。

4. インプット端子にチューニングするギター/ベースや、コンタクト・マイクＣＭ−100Lな

どを接続します。アコースティック楽器をチューニングするときは、音の出る部分を内蔵

マイクに近づけます。

インプット端子にプラグが接続されているときは、内蔵マイクは使用できません。

5. 楽器を単音で鳴らします。

本体中央の文字表示部に、入力した音に一番近い音名が表示されます。合わせたい音

名が表示されるように、楽器を大まかにチューニングします。

■ミラー・モード

明るい点灯表示は入力音を示します。明るい点灯表示と薄

い点灯表示が中央で重なるように楽器をチューニングしま

す。

音が高いときは明るい点灯表示は中央より右側へ、低いと

きは左側へ移動します。

チューニングが合うと、▼ ▲と表示の両方が点灯します。

■メーター・モード

明るい点灯表示を中央の▼表示に合わせるように楽器を

チューニングします。

中央の▼表示は、メーター中央位置指示マークとして常時

点灯します。また、最初の入力音の反応時や入力音が別の

音名に切り替わったときは、直接対応位置が点灯します。

音が高いときは明るい点灯表示は中央より右側へ、低いと

きは左側へ移動します。

基準ピッチの設定は、電源をオフにしても記憶されています。ただし、電池を交換

した場合はこれらの設定は初期化されます。

Procedimiento de Afinación

1. Pulse STANDBY / ON para encender el afinador. Aparecerá la última calibración

realizada. El afinador se apaga si la unidad no se usa durante 10 minutos.

2. Pulse el conmutador [DISPLAY] para elegir uno de los 3 Modos de pantalla. Cada

vez que lo Pulse la pantalla cambiará entre: Strobe, Mirror y Meter.

3. Use el conmutador [CALIB DOWN] o [CALIB UP] para especificar el tono de

referencia; la pantalla de información del DT-4 mostrará el valor.

Rango de tono de Referencia [410...480 Hz]

El valor cambiará de forma continua si mantiene pulsado uno de estos 2 conmutadores

durante más de 1 segundo.

4. Conecte el cable de su guitarra, bajo o micro de contacto CM-100L a la entrada

INPUT. Si desea usar el micro interno no conecte nada a la entrada INPUT.

Si usa el micro incorporado sitúe su instrumento acústico cerca del mismo.

5. Toque una sola nota en su instrumento.

La pantalla indicará la nota más cercana. Afine su instrumento al tono correcto de

manera que aparezca la nota deseada. Si usa el micro interno sitúe su instrumento

tan cerca como sea posible del micro para que no se vea afectado por sonidos

exteriores.

Arbeitsweise für das Stimmen

1. Drücken Sie die [STANDBY/ON]-Taste, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

Die spezifizierte Bezugstonhöhe (Kalibrierungseinstellung) leuchtet jedes Mal für

ca. eine Sekunde auf.

Bei jedem Drücken der [STANDBY/ON]-Taste schaltet das Gerät ein/aus.

Wenn das Stimmgerät ca. 10 Minuten lang eingeschaltet bleibt, ohne dass Ton

angelegt wird, schaltet es automatisch aus, um Batteriestrom zu sparen.

2. Drücken Sie die [DISPLAY]-Taste, um eines der drei Anzeigemuster zu wählen.

Bei jedem Drücken der Taste schaltet das Stimmgerät durch die Modi Strobe, Mirror

und Messung weiter. Der Stimm-Status wird je nach dem gewählten Muster anders

3. Verwenden Sie die [CALIB DOWN]-Taste oder die [CALIB UP]-Taste zum

Spezifizieren der Bezugstonhöhe, und der

Wenn Sie eine dieser Taste länger als eine Sekunde gedrückt halten, wird der Wert

4. Schließen Sie Ihre zu stimmen gewünschte Gitarre oder den Bass, oder ein

Kontaktmikrofon CM-100L an die Eingangsbuchse an. Wenn Sie ein akustisches In-

strument stimmen wollen positionieren Sie die Soundöffnung des Instruments in

der Nähe des eingebauten Mikrofons.

Wenn ein Kabel an die INPUT-Buchse angeschlossen ist, kann das eingebaute Mikrofon

nicht verwendet werden.

5. Spielen Sie eine einzelne Note auf Ihrem Instrument.

Der „Zeichenanzeigebereich“ in der Mitte des DT-4 zeigt den Namen der Note, die

der gespielten Tonhöhe am nächsten liegt. Stimmen Sie das Instrument so, dass der

gewünschte Notenname erscheint.

Méthode d’accordage

Appuyez sur le commutateur [STANDBY/ON] pour mettre l’accordeur sous tension.

Chaque fois que vous appuierez sur le commutateur, l’accordeur commutera entre les

modes Stroboscope, Miroir et Compteur. Le statut de l’accordeur sera affiché

différemment, en fonction du motif que vous aurez sélectionné. (Voir “Motifs d’affichage”)

L’utilisation du commutateur [CALIB DOWN] ou [CALIB UP] pour spécifier la note

de référence et la “zone d'affichage de caractères” au centre du DT-4 affichera la valeur.

5. Jouez une note unique sur votre instrument.

Tuning procedure

1. Press the [STANDBY/ON] switch to turn on the power.

The specified reference pitch (calibration setting) will light for approximately one second.

The power will alternately turn on/off each time you press the [STANDBY/ON] switch.

When the tuner is on for 10 minutes without use, the power will automatically turn

off to conserve battery life.

2. Press the [DISPLAY] switch to choose one of the three display patterns.

Each time you press the switch, the tuner will cycle through Strobe mode, Mirror

mode and Meter mode. The tuning status will be displayed differently depending

on the pattern you’ve selected. (See “Display patterns”)

3. Use the [CALIB DOWN] switch or [CALIB UP] switch to specify the reference pitch

and the “character display area” in the center of the DT-4 will show the value.

Reference pitch range [410...480 Hz]

The value will change continuously if you hold down one of these switches for longer

than one second.

4. Connect the guitar or bass you want to tune or a CM-100L contact mic to the input

jack. If you want to tune an acoustic instrument, position the sound hole of your

instrument near the built-in mic.

If a cable is connected to the INPUT jack, the built-in mic cannot be used.

5. Play a single note on your instrument.

The “character display area” in the center of the DT4 will show the name of the note

that is closest to the pitch you played. Tune your instrument so the desired note

name appears.

Display patterns

■Strobe mode

Play a note, and the note name will be displayed. If your

instrument is sharp, the indicator will light and the▼

strobe display will rotate clockwise. If your instrument

is flat, the indicator will light and the strobe display▲

will rotate counter-clockwise.

When the note is in tune, the motion will stop, and the ▼

and ▲ indicators will both light.

If thirty seconds passes without any audio input, the strobe

display area will go dark.

■Mirror mode

Play a note, and the note name will be displayed. Tune

your instrument so that the brightly lit indicator coin-

cides with the dimly lit indicator.

The brightly lit indicator will be on the right if your in-

strument is sharp, and on the left if your instrument is

flat.

When the note is in tune, the indicators will▼ ▲ and

both light.

The display pattern setting and the reference pitch setting are remembered even when

you turn off the power. However, these settings will return to their default values when

you replace the batteries.

(Default values: Reference pitch = 440 Hz, Display pattern = Strobe mode)
