DOORAJARALARM

TheDoorAjarAlarmfeaturesoundsanalarmwhentheicemakerdoorisopenfor5minutes.Thealarm

willrepeatevery2minutes.Closethedoortoturnoff.Thefeaturethenresetsandwillreactivatewhenthe

doorisleftopenagainfor5minutes.

WATERSTATUSLIGHT

Thewaterfilterstatuslightswillhelpyouknowwhentochangeyourwaterfilter.

■The“OrderFilter”statuslightwillbeilluminatedwhenitistimetoorderareplacementfilter.

■The“ReplaceFilter”statuslightwillbeilluminatedwhenitistimetoreplacethefilter.

■Replacingthedisposablewaterfilterwithanewfilterwillautomaticallyresetthefilterstatustracking

feature.

REPLACEWATERFILTER

Topurchaseareplacementwaterfilter,see“Accessories.”

Replacethedisposablewaterfilterwhenindicatedonthewaterfilterstatusdisplayoratleastevery9

months.IftheicemakingratedecreasesbeforetheReplaceFilterlightilluminates,thenreplacethefilter.

1.Locatethewaterfiltercompartmentintheright-handsideofthecontrolhousing.SeeStep3inthe

“InstallWaterFilter”section.

2.urnthewaterfiltercounterclockwise(totheleft),andpullitstraightoutofthecompartment.

NOTE:Theremaybesomewaterinthefilter.Somespillingmayoccur.

3.Installthereplacementwaterfilterbyfollowingsteps2through5inthe“InstalltheWaterFilter”section.

TheIce-MakingProcess

1.Waterisconstantlycirculatedoverafreezingplate.Asthewaterfreezesintoice,themineralsinthe

waterarerejected.Thisproducesasheetoficewithalowmineralcontent.

2.Whenthedesiredthicknessisreached,theicesheetisreleasedandslidesontoacuttergrid.Thegrid

dividesthesheetintoindividualcubes.

3.Thewatercontainingtherejectedmineralsisdrainedaftereachfreezingcycle.

4.Freshwaterentersthemachineforthenextice-makingcycle.

5.Cubesfallintothestoragebin.Whenthebinisfull,theicemakershutsoffautomaticallyandrestarts

whenmoreiceisneeded.Theicebinisnotrefrigerated,andsomemeltingwilloccur.Theamountof

meltingvarieswithroomtemperature.

NOTE:Astheroomandwatertemperaturesvary,sowilltheamountoficeproducedandstored.This

meansthathigheroperatingtemperaturesresultinreducediceproduction.
