Das einwandfreie Funktionieren des Mikrofonarmes basiert auf
dem Zusammenspiel dreier Faktoren.

5 Ohne Mikrofon und bei nicht angezogenen Rändelmuttern zei-
5 gen die Arme Richtung Decke - dafĂĽr sorgt die Federvorspannung.
5 - Die Last des Mikrofons wirkt der Federvorspannung entgegen,
5 so dass der Arm mehr oder weniger exakt die gewĂĽnschte -
5 Position einnimmt. -
5 - Am besten funktioniert dieser Mechanismus bei Mikrofonen
5 welche der Nennlast von 0,8 kg nahekommen. Diese Last wirkt -
5 der Federvorspannung optimal entgegen, so dass nahezu jede -
5 mögliche Position erreicht wird. -
6 Damit das Mikrofon die vorgesehene Position hält, werden die
6 drei Rändelmuttern etwas angezogen - aber nur soviel um eine
6 selbständige Verstellung der Arme zu verhindern.
7 Bei richtiger Balance lässt sich der Mikrofonarm in etliche
7 mögliche Positionen ziehen - und das ohne lästiges Öffnen und
7 Schließen der Rändelmuttern . 6
VERKABELUNG
Der Mikrofonarm 23840 enthält keine Verkabelung.
Zur Fixierung eines nachträglich montierten Kabels sind
vier Kabelklemmen beigefügt (siehe Zubehörbeutel).
8 Vier beigefĂĽgte Kabelklemmen an gewĂĽnschter Stelle
8 des Armgestänges aufclipsen.
9 Einmal angebracht, können diese Klemmen auf den Armen
9 stufenlos verschoben werden.

VORSICHT VOR UNKONTROLLIERTEN BEWEGUNGEN
- Im unbelasteten Zustand ziehen die Federn die Arme der
- Mikrofonhalterung in die Höhe (= Ausgangsstellung) 5
- Zur Vermeidung dieser unkontrollierten Bewegung ist vor dem
- Entfernen des Mikrofons bzw. vor dem Lösen der Rändelmuttern
- der Mikrofonarm mit der Hand festzuhalten oder zuvor in die 4
- Ausgangsstellung zu bringen.
- Das Festziehen der drei Rändelmuttern an den Gelenken des 6
- Mikrofonarmes allein genĂĽgt NICHT um diese unkontrollierte
- Bewegung zu verhindern. Dazu ist die Federkraft zu stark.

OPERATING MODE
TECHNICAL DATA
1 Screw the table clamp to the panel
2 Insert the rod of the microphone arm into the opening
2 of the table clamp and adjust the direction of the arm
2.a Secure this position by tightening the knurled screw
3 Select threaded connection (3/8", 5/8") and attach microphone
4 Set the microphone arm as described in OPERATING MODE
The proper functioning of the microphone arm is based on the
interaction of three factors.
A. MICROPHONE WEIGHT
B. SPRING TENSION
C. STRENGTH OF KNURLED NUTS 6
5 Without microphone and loosen knurled nuts the arms point
5 towards the ceiling - this is due to the spring preload.
5 - The load of the microphone counteracts the spring preload,
5 so that the arm more or less exactly meets the desired -
5 position. -
5 - This mechanism works best with microphones with the nominal
5 load of nearly 0.8 kg. This load acts on the spring preload, so -
5 that almost any possible position can be reached. -
6 In order for the microphone to maintain the intended position,
6 tighten slightly the three knurled nuts - only to much so as to
6 prevent the arms from moving independently.
7 If the balance is correct, the microphone arm can be moved in
7 several desired positions - avoiding the screwing and unscrewing
7 of the knurled nuts . 6
WIRING
The 23840 Microphone desk arm contains no wiring.
Four cable clamps are included to fix a subsequently
mounted cable (see accessory bag).
8 Clip the four cable clamps onto the desired position
8 on the arm profile.
9 Once fitted, these clamps can be moved continuously
9 on the arms.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- The table clamp must be firmly fixed. 1

BEWARE OF UNCONTROLLED MOVEMENTS
- In an unloaded condition, the springs pulls up the arms of 5
- the Microphone holder (= starting position).
- In order to avoid this uncontrolled movement, the following
- measures must be taken before removing the microphone
- respectively before loosening the knurled nuts hold the
- microphone arm with your hand or bring in initial position. 4
- The tightening of the three knurled nuts at the joints of the 6
- Microphone is NOT sufficient to avoid this uncontrolled
- movement since the spring force is too strong.
