CLEANING AND STERILIZING

Wash thoroughly before first use and after each use. Can

be sterilized in cold sterilizing solution or steam sterilizer.

Boiling may reduce nipple strength.

Before first use, place the pacifier in boiling water for 5 min,

allow to cool, and squeeze out any trapped water from the

pacifier. Clean before every use. Never dip the nipple in

sweet substances as this may cause tooth decay. Never

dip the nipple in medications. In the event that the pacifier

becomes lodged in the mouth, DO NOT PANIC. Remove

pacifier from the mouth as gently as possible. Moisture

may appear inside the bubble, especially after boiling or

washing. This is normal and in most cases the moisture will

dissipate.

* Do not tie pacifier around child’s neck as it presents a

strangulation danger.

* Do not attach anything to the pacifier that will obstruct the

ventilation holes.

* Any tear in the nipple can lead to the separation of a

piece, presenting a possible choking hazard. Inspect

regularly, particularly when your child develops teeth and

discontinue use if any tear or crack appears. To prevent a

possible choking hazard with this or any other pacifier, test

strength by pulling on bulb portion of nipple.

* Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the pacifier in all

directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or

weakness.

* Never attach ribbons or cords longer than 7" to a pacifier,

as this may cause a strangulation hazard.

* Do not leave a pacifier in direct sunlight, near a source of

heat or in disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for an extended

time period, as this may weaken the nipple.
