1 Functions and features
The use of the E43911 kit is required for sensors with G½ hygienic fitting to be in
compliance with 3A requirements.
Use in hygienic areas to 3A requirements:
► Make sure that the sensors are integrated into the system in accordance
with 3A.
2 Installation
2.1 Mounting to the sensor

►Place the sealing ring (A) in the groove of
the sensor.
►Apply a small amount of lubricating paste
(B) only to the threads to prevent galling.
The paste must be suitable and approved
for the application and compatible with all
components. Prevent the lubricating paste
from coming in contact with the seals.
►Place the conical sealing ring (C) onto the
conical end of the process adapter. When
installing vertical place conical seal into
the adapter. Ensure the conical seal is
properly aligned.

►Screw the sensor into the adapter (D) until
it is hand-tight. When doing so, ensure
that the conical sealing ring remains in
position against the conical end of the
sensor.

►Clamp the sensor and adapter into a
clamping device (E). Tighten the clamping
device only slightly so that the adapter
does not warp.
►Tighten the sensor using a spanner until
you can feel the end stop (this corre-
sponds to a maximum tightening torque
of 25 Nm).
Note: Further tightening may affect the
sealing effect.
To ensure proper sealing use a new conical sealing ring when servicing the
sensor.
2.2 Mounting to the process connection
►When the sensor and adapter are fixed to the process connection using a fixing
element (coupling nut, clamp flange, etc.). If it is not possible to slide the fixing
element down over the top of the unit: slide it up over the bottom of the unit
before the adapter is mounted.
