1.1 FTTR Introduction

Huawei ber to the room (FTTR) solution extends fibers to every room, enabling you

to enjoy a stable gigabit Wi-Fi experience in every corner of your room. When you walk

around in your home, the Wi-Fi will keep connected, achieving a seamless switching

experience.

FTTR consists of 4 parts:

⚫FTTR active equipment: Main FTTR + Sub FTTR.

Main FTTR is used to connect to the internet, supporting Ethernet or Fiber

uplink.

The sub FTTR is the satellite, connecting through ber or by Wi-Fi mesh.

1 x Main FTTR can supports maximum 16 Sub FTTR.

⚫The main and sub devices of Huawei FTTR F50 are shown in the gures below.

⚫FTTR passive components: Fiber Distribution Unit (ATB2121-S--SC/APC) + 5U

ATB (ATB2120-T-1-SA) + Transparent ber (10m/20m/30m/100m).

the ber distribution unit (ATB2121-S--SC/APC) is a 1:4 splitter, 1 input 5U

connecting to Main FTTR and 4 outputs connecting sub FTTR and 1 sub

port to cascade more ber distribution unit.

The ber distribution unit can be cascaded to maximum 4 level, totally with

16 outputs.

The ATB (ATB2120-T-1-SA) is used to store the remaining length of the

ber. It has a built-in SC/APC connector which can be removed to let the

ber go through directly.
