cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord

• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep
free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use
in areas where they may be present.
• Look on your vacuum cleaner and follow all label and marking instructions.
• Do not use an extension cord with this cleaner.
• Keep end of hose, wands and other openings away from your face and body.
Keep your hands, feet, hair and clothing away from moving parts; especially the
revolving brush.

• Ne tirez pas l’appareil par son cordon, ne vous servez pas du cordon comme
poignée, ne fermez pas de portes sur le cordon et ne tirez pas le cordon sur des
coins ou bords tranchants. Évitez de passer l’appareil sur le cordon d’alimentation.
Gardez le cordon à l’écart des surfaces chauffées.
• Ne débranchez pas l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon. Pour le débrancher, tirez
sur la fiche et non sur le cordon.
• Ne manipulez pas la fiche ou l’aspirateur avec les mains mouillées.
• N’insérez pas d’objets dans les orifices. N’utilisez pas l’appareil si ses orifices
sont obstrués; enlevez de ces dernières la poussière, les peluches, les cheveux
et tout ce qui pourrait réduire le débit d’air.
• Gardez vos cheveux, tout vêtement ample, vos doigts et toute partie du corps loin
des ouvertures et des pièces en mouvement.
• Fermez toutes les commandes avant de débrancher l’appareil.
• Faites bien attention quand vous nettoyez les marches d’escalier.

• Store the vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to
prevent tripping accidents.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches,
or hot ashes.
• Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.
• Please note, on the power switch, ‘I’ indicates power “on” and ‘O’ indicates power
“off”.

en marche, et « 0 » qu’il est arrêté.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding
provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric
shock. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding
conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate
outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes
and ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection
of the equipment-grounding conductor can
result in a risk of electric shock. Check with
a qualified electrician or service person if
you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is
properly grounded. Do not modify the plug
provided with the appliance--if it will not fit
the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by
a qualified electrician.
This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding attachment
plug that looks like the plug illustrated in the sketch above. Make sure that the
appliance is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No
adaptor should be used with this appliance.

Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre. En cas de mauvais fonctionnement ou de panne,
la mise à la terre offre un conduit de moindre résistance au courant électrique ce qui
réduit les risques d’électrocution. Cet appareil est équipé d’un cordon d’alimentation
muni d’un conducteur et d’une prise de terre. La fiche doit être branchée sur une
prise appropriée, installée correctement et mise à la terre en vertu des règlements et
législations locales.

conducteur de mise à la terre n’est pas bien
connecté, vous pouvez vous électrocuter.

technicien spécialisé si n’êtes pas sûr que

Cet appareil doit être utilisé sur un circuit nominal de 120 volts et il est équipé d’une

Your cleaner contains a thermal protective device to shut off the motor to avoid
overheating. If this happens, turn switch off and unplug the cleaner. Inspect the
exhaust, inlet, and filters for any blockage. Empty the dust bag and clean
filters. After approximately 30 minutes the motor will have cooled and the
vacuum will be ready to use. NOTE: The cleaner must remain unplugged during
the 30 minute cooling period.
Votre aspirateur est muni d’un protecteur thermique afin de couper le moteur en cas
de surchauffe. Dans ce cas, arrêtez l’aspirateur et débranchez-le. Vérifiez le système
d’évacuation, d’aspiration et les filtres pour détecter toute obstruction. Videz le sac
à poussière et nettoyez les filtres. Au bout de 30 minutes, le moteur aura refroidi et
l’aspirateur sera de nouveau prêt à être utilisé. REMARQUE : L’aspirateur doit rester
débranché pendant la période de refroidissement de 30 minutes.
