10. The iron must be used and rested on a

stable surface.

11. When placing the iron on its stand,

ensure that the surface on which the

stand is placed is stable.

12. Do not leave the iron unattended while

13. Burns can occur from touching hot metal

parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution

when you turn a steam iron upside

down—there might be hot water in the

reservoir.

14. To avoid a circuit overload, do not

operate an iron on the same circuit with

another high-wattage appliance.

15. If an extension cord is absolutely

necessary, a cord with an ampere rating

equal to or greater than the maximum

rating of the iron shall be used. A cord

rated for less amperage can result in

a risk of fire or electric shock due to

overheating. Care shall be taken to

arrange the cord so that it cannot be

pulled or be tripped over.

16. Always close the filling aperture when

operating the appliance.

WARNING

Retractable Cord

1. Pull Cord to desired

length. Do not unwind

Cord beyond colored

tape indicator on Cord.

2. To store Cord, press and

hold Cord Release Button

while guiding Cord into storage area.

CAUTION

Eye Injury Hazard. Do not

let cord retract freely. Cord may jam on reel

or loose cord may whip back and forth and

could cause injury.

How to Dry Iron

1. Plug into outlet. Set Steam Control Lever to

(no steam).

2. To select temperature setting, press

Temperature Settings Button until desired

setting is illuminated. Setting will stop

flashing when temperature is reached.

3. After ironing, adjust Temperature Settings

Button to off. Unplug.

How to Steam Iron

1. Unplug. Lift tab on Water Reservoir Fill

Door () and move clockwise. Then,

using a measuring cup with a small pour

spout, pour tap water into water reservoir

opening and fill Iron to max fill line. If

you have extremely hard water, mix 50%

untreated tap water with 50% distilled or

demineralized water for use in Iron.

2. Plug into outlet.

3. To select temperature setting, press

Temperature Settings Button until desired

setting is illuminated. Setting will stop

flashing when temperature is reached.

CAUTION

Burn Hazard. Attempting

to steam iron on a lower temperature

setting or failing to allow the iron to preheat

for two minutes can result in hot water

dripping from the soleplate.

4. Move Steam Control Lever to desired level

of steam () if linen, cotton or wool has

been selected.

5. After ironing, adjust Temperature Settings

Button to off. Unplug.

Vertical Steam

1. Follow steps 1-2 in

“How to Steam Iron.”

Press Temperature

Settings Button until

linen is illuminated.

2. Hang garment in a

location that is not

susceptible to damage

from heat or moisture. Do not hang in front

of wallpaper, window or mirror.

3. Hold Iron about 6 inches away from

garment and press and release Steam

Burst Button to steam out wrinkles. Do not

press Steam Burst Button more than once

every 2 seconds.

4. After ironing, adjust Temperature Settings

Button to “off”. Unplug.

5. Empty water from Iron following directions

in “Care and Cleaning.”

NOTE: Do not allow hot Soleplate to touch

delicate garments.

Auto Shutoff

Iron will beep 6 times and shut off automatically and off will flash when:

• Resting on Soleplate for 1 minute.

• Resting on either side for 1 minute or 30 minutes, depending on orientation.

• Resting on Heel for 30 minutes.

Care and Cleaning

Iron

1. Press Temperature Settings Button until “off”

is illuminated. Unplug and let cool.

2. Drain water; carefully hold Cord plug with

one hand while pushing Cord Release

Button with other hand to retract Cord.

3. Store in an upright position.

Soleplate

1. Never iron over zippers, pins, metal rivets, or

snaps, since these may scratch Soleplate.

2. To clean buildup on Soleplate, wipe with a

sudsy cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers,

metal scouring pads, or chemical or hot iron

cleaners. These will damage the Soleplate

finish.

Self-Clean

1. Lift tab on Water Reservoir Fill Door ()

and move clockwise. Then, using a

measuring cup with a small pour spout,

pour tap water into water reservoir opening

and fill Iron to max fill line.

2. While holding Cord plug, gently pull to

extend Cord. Do not pull Cord past colored

tape. Plug into outlet.

3. Press Temperature Settings Button and set

Iron to linen or cotton setting and let Iron

heat for 2 minutes.

4. Press Temperature Settings Button until

“off” is illuminated. Unplug.

5. Hold Iron over sink. Press and hold

Self-Clean Button until water reservoir is

empty.

Troubleshooting

Iron won’t heat.

• Plug Iron into a working outlet.

• A temperature setting has not been

selected. Select a temperature.

• Iron has entered Automatic Shut Off (ASO)

mode; press Temperature Settings Button

to reset.

NOTE: When in ASO mode, “off” will flash

on Temperature Settings Button.

Water is leaking.

• Too much water is in water reservoir.

• Adjust steam to a lower setting. Ensure

Iron is set to a steam temperature setting.

• Steam Control Lever has been set to

(steam) while Iron was cold. Select a

temperature and let Iron preheat for two

minutes. For best performance, allow 3–4

seconds between each setting of Steam

Control Lever to .

• If dry ironing, make sure Steam Control

Lever is set to (no steam).

Iron won’t steam.

• Ensure there is water in water reservoir.

• Move Steam Control Lever to (steam)

position.

• Allow Iron to reach temperature by waiting

until setting has stopped flashing and is

illuminated.

• Anti-drip feature will not allow steam when

Steam Control Lever is set to (no steam).

• If all fabric settings are flashing on Button,

stop using Iron and visit

ATTENTION

Risque de blessures

rétracter librement. Le cordon peut se

coincer ou fouetter et blesser.

Repassage à sec

1. Brancher dans la prise électrique. Ajuster le

levier de contrôle de la vapeur à (aucune

vapeur).

2. Pour sélectionner un réglage de

température, appuyer sur le bouton des

réglages de température jusqu’à ce que

le réglage souhaité s’illumine. Le réglage

arrêtera de clignoter une fois que la

température est atteinte.

3. Après le repassage, placer le bouton des

réglages de température en position “off”

(arrêt). Débrancher.

Repassage à la vapeur

1. Débrancher. Soulever la patte de la porte

de remplissage du réservoir d’eau ()

et déplacer dans le sens horaire. Ensuite,

en utilisant une tasse avec un petit bec

verseur, verser l’eau du robinet dans

l’ouverture et remplir le fer jusqu’à la ligne

de remplissage max. Si vous avez de l’eau

extrêmement dure, faire un mélange de 50

% d’eau du robinet non traitée et de

50 % d’eau distillée ou déminéralisée pour

utiliser dans le fer.

2. Brancher dans la prise électrique.

3. Pour sélectionner un réglage de

température, appuyer sur le bouton des

réglages de température jusqu’à ce que

le réglage souhaité s’illumine. Le réglage

arrêtera de clignoter une fois que la

température est atteinte.

ATTENTION

Risque de brûlure. La

tentative du repassage à la vapeur à un

réglage de température inférieur ou ne pas

laisser le fer chauffer pendant 2 minutes

peut occasionner un égouttement d’eau

depuis la semelle.

4. Placer le levier de contrôle de la vapeur au

niveau de vapeur souhaité () pour le lin,

le coton ou la laine.

5. Après le repassage, placer le bouton des

réglages de température en position “off”

(arrêt). Débrancher.

Vapeur verticale

1. Suivre les étapes 1–2

dans « Repassage à la

vapeur ». Appuyer sur

le bouton des réglages

de température jusqu’à

ce que le réglage

« linen » (lin) s’illumine.

2. Suspendre le vêtement

dans un endroit qui ne risque pas d’être

endommagé par la chaleur et l’humidité.

Ne pas le suspendre devant du papier

peint, une fenêtre ou un miroir.

3. Tenir le fer à environ 15 centimètres

(6 pouces) du vêtement et appuyer et

relâcher le bouton de jet de vapeur pour

repasser les plis. Ne pas appuyer sur le

bouton de jet de vapeur plus d’une fois

toutes les 2 secondes.

4. Après le repassage, placer le bouton des

réglages de température en position “off”

(arrêt). Débrancher.

5. Vider l’eau du fer en suivant les

instructions de « Entretien et nettoyage ».

REMARQUE : Ne pas laisser la semelle

chaude entrer en contact avec des tissus

fragiles.

Arrêt automatique

Le fer émettra 6 bips et s’éteindra automatiquement, et le réglage « off » (arrêt) clignotera quand :

• Il repose sur la semelle durant une minute.

• Il est placé sur l’un de ses côtés durant une ou 30 minutes, selon l’orientation.

• Il repose sur son talon durant une minute.

Entretien et nettoyage

Fer

1. Appuyer sur le bouton des réglages de

température jusqu’à ce que le réglage « off »

(arrêt) s’illumine. Débrancher et permettre le

refroidissement.

2. Vider l’eau; tenir délicatement la fiche du

cordon d’une main et appuyer sur le bouton

de dégagement du cordon de l’autre afin

d’enrouler le cordon.

3. Le ranger sur son talon d’appui.

Semelle

1. Ne jamais repasser les fermetures à

glissière, épingles, rivets métalliques ou

boutons-pression, car ils pourraient rayer la

semelle.

2. Pour nettoyer les accumulations de la

semelle, essuyer avec un chiffon mouillé

d’eau savonneuse. Ne pas utiliser ne

nettoyants abrasifs, de tampons à récurer en

métal, ou de nettoyants à base de produits

chimiques ou pour fer chaud. Ceux-ci

endommageront le fini de la semelle.
