Assembly Instructions: (Dixon)3218-SF & 3219-SF

IMPORTANT:

•ALL INSTALLATION WORK SHOULD BE DONE BY ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL.

•SHUT OFF POWER SUPPLY AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER!

•USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED BULBS. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE!

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the

important notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit

breaker and completely remove the old xture from the

ceiling, including the old mounting strap.

1. Take the mounting strap assembly from the parts bag.

Mounting strap (B) should have mounting screws (D)

attached. You may need to tighten hex nuts (C) that hold the

screws in place.

2. Use mounting screws (A) and a screw driver to attach

mounting strap (A) to the junction box.

CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

3.Haveanassistantsupporttheweightofthexturewhile

completing the wiring. Cut away excess wire. Thread the

xture’swiresthroughcanopyloop(H)andnipple(F).Attach

thexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthejunction

box. Connect black to black (or smooth); white to white (or

ribbed); ground to ground (green or copper). Twist the ends

of the wire pairs together, and then twist on a wire connector.

Make sure all twists are in the same direction. If there is no

ground wire (green or copper) coming from the junction box,

locate ground screw (E) on mounting strap (B) and wrap the

xture’sgroundwirearoundthegreengroundscrew(E).Use

a screwdriver to secure ground screw (E) onto the mounting

bracket. Tuck all wires neatly into the junction box.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

4. Raise canopy (F) to the ceiling. Position mounting screws (D) so that they protrude through the openings of canopy (F). Secure

canopy (F) to mounting strap (B) with decorative nuts (H).

Installalightbulb(notprovided)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumrecommended

wattage.

6.

Loosen bolt (M) and raise lid (N) to the highest position. Tilt the lamp and rods slightly, and then pass the lamp through

decorative cap (O) and into glass shade (P). Then, place decorative cap (O) and lid (N) on top of glass shade (P). Move the lamp

and rods into a vertical position. Check that everything is level and secure the assembly by tightening bolt (M).
