XT navigation software. For
complete information on using Garmin
Mobile XT, refer to the built-in Help
system; select on the main page of the
Garmin Mobile XT program.
Manual Conventions
When you see text in , click the text blue
with your mouse to follow a link for
more information. For example, to learn
how to perform a standard search, see
page 4.
When you are instructed to “select”
something, use the navigation key
on your mobile device, or use the
touchscreen to select an item on the
screen.
You will see small arrows (>) in the text.
They indicate that you should select a
series of items. For example, if you see
“select > ” you should Where to? Home
use the navigation key or touchscreen to
select , and then select . Where to? Home
Garmin Mobile XT is compatible with
a broad range of Nokia Symbian
®
,
Windows Mobile
®
, and Palm OS
®
Treo
™
smartphones. There may be differences
in the software interfaces on various
phones. For example, on some phones
you may need to select in order to Menu
see additional options. These differences
are indicated with parentheses. For
example, if the manual instructs you to
select ( >) Menu Tools and your phone
does not have a option, just select Menu
Tools.
Garmin Mobile XT can be used on
mobile phones as well as personal digital
assistants (PDAs) and other mobile
devices. This manual uses the word
“phone” to mean the mobile device on
which you are using Garmin Mobile XT
navigation software.
