1 GENERAL

1.1 READANDKEEPTHEUSERMANUAL

Please read and follow these instructions before using the product, especially the instructions

for use and warnings.

Keep these instructions for future reference and pass them on to any future owners.

The light chain is suitable for outdoor use.

This product is for decorative purposes only; it is not suitable for household lighting.

This product may only be used with the included accessories and is designed for use in private areas.

The following symbols and signal words are use in these operating instructions, on the device or on the

packaging.

NEVER OPERATE THE PRODUCT IN ITS PACKAGING! DO NOT OPERATE THE LIGHT CHAIN IN A

FIRESENSITIVE ENVIRONMENT OR PLACE IT ON A HIGHLY FLAMMABLE SURFACE. DO NOT

WRAP THE LIGHT CHAIN AROUND HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MATERIALS.

THE LIGHT CHAIN MUST NOT BE ELECTRICALLY CONNECTED TO OTHER LIGHT CHAINS OR NETS!

THIS LIGHT CHAIN MUST NOT BE USED WITHOUT THE PROPERLY APPLIED SEAL.

»The product must not be manipulated or modi ed for safety and licensing reasons (CE)!

»The LEDs are not replaceable. The light source in this light chain is not replaceable; when the light

source reaches the end of its service life, the entire light chain must be replaced.

»The outer  exible cable in this light chain cannot be replaced; if the cable is damaged, the light chain

must be disposed of properly.

»Leaking or damaged batteries can cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. In case

of contact, immediately rinse the a ected area with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice

»Improper handling of batteries can lead to explosions:

»- Never short-circuit batteries.

»- Never disassemble batteries or expose them to shock.

»- Never dispose of batteries in a  re.

»- Do not expose batteries to heat or direct sunlight.

3 SCOPEOF DELIVERY

4 CHECKINGTHESCOPEOF DELIVERY

Remove all parts from the packaging and check that the delivery is complete and undamaged. If necessary,

contact the service address listed on the warranty.

Dispose of packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner.

5 OPERATION

The solar panel

is equipped with a rechargeable battery.

The integrated battery is fully charged in sunshine when the panel is facing south.

As the brightness decreases (dusk), the LEDs automatically turn on when the on/o switch

is in the ON

position.

After the LEDs turn on at dusk, they automatically turn o as the brightness increases. The maximum light

duration is 4-8 hours.

1. Completely unwind the supply cable and the light chain.

2. Join the ground spike

together as shown and slide the solar

panel holder into the slot on the solar panel

until it clicks into place.

3. Attach the light chain using the eyelets or suitable tools.

CAUTION: Do not knot or pierce the light chain or the power cable when attaching them.

4. Place the panel in any sunny spot in the garden. Alternatively, the panel can be set up on a balcony or

terrace. Use a planted  owerpot or something similar for this purpose or e.g. cable ties to secure the

standpipe to a railing.

Always ensure the solar cell of the solar panel

is facing south.

5. To turn on the LEDs, slide the on/o switch

to ON.

6. To turn o the LEDs, slide the on/o switch

to OFF.

Battery charging is not interrupted in the OFF position.

7. To make the GT-BL-SW-01 light chain illuminate in multiple colors, slide the switch

to the ON2

position.

6 CLEANINGAND STORAGE

Clean the item with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent. Allow it to dry thoroughly and store it in the

original packaging.

Keep the solar cell of the solar panel

clean to ensure the best possible charging of the battery.

If you plan to store the item for an extended period of time away from direct sunlight, please note the following

points:

• If possible, store the item in a location where the solar panel is exposed to at least indirect light. This helps

prevent the battery from becoming deeply discharged due to self-discharge.

• If storing the item for longer than four months, ensure that the battery is charged regularly. To do this, place the

solar panel in direct sunlight for several days.
