INSTALLATIE
Basis:
1. het kleine stekkertje aan het telefoonsnoer onder in de basis steken
(het stekkertje aandrukken tot u een klik hoort)
2. de telefoonstekker in de telefoonwandcontactdoos steken
3. het laagspanningsstekkertje van de adapter onder in de telefoon
steken en de adapter in een 230 Volt stopcontact doen
Handset:
1. open het batterijcompartiment van de handset door de batterijdeksel
naar onder weg te schuiven
2. plaats de batterijen in het batterijcompartiment; let hierbij op de pola-
riteit (+ en -)
3. schuif de batterijdeksel terug op de handset en plaats de handset in
de basis
4. de handset gedurende 15 uur onafgebroken in de basis
laten staan om
de batterijen goed op te laden
Extra handsets en opladers:
Is uw telefoon geleverd met meerdere handsets, dan wordt voor elke
extra handset 2 batterijen en een oplader met adapter meegeleverd.
Doe de adapter van deze opladers in een 230 Volt stopcontact, plaats
de batterijen in de handset(s) en plaats de handset(s) gedurende in de
oplader(s) om de batterijen op te laden.
GEBRUIK ALLEEN DE MEEGELEVERDE ADAPTERS. HET
AANSLUITEN VAN ANDERE ADAPTERS ZAL GEVAARLIJKE
SITUATIES TOT GEVOLG HEBBEN OF ZAL SCHADE AAN
DE ELECTRONICA VAN DE TELEFOON TOEBRENGEN.

TELEFOONBOEKGEHEUGEN
Introductie:
Elke handset heeft een telefoonboekgeheugen met een capaciteit van 50
telefoonnummers van 20 cijfers maximaal. Bij elk nummer kunt u een
naam van maximaal 12 karakters programmeren.
Het telefoonboekgeheugen in de handset is gekoppeld aan de functie
NummerWeergave, wordt u gebeld door iemand wiens naam met nummer
u in het geheugen heeft geprogrammeerd dan wordt naast het nummer
ook de naam van deze persoon op het display van uw handset getoond.
U dient hiervoor wel geabonneerd te zijn op de dienst NummerWeergave.
Inprogrammeren:
1. druk achtereenvolgens op toets en 2x op toets OK
2. voer via het toetsenbord de naam in (zie het ABC op de kiestoetsen)
een foutieve invoer kunt u met toets WissenC
3. druk op toets OK
4. voer via het toetsenbord het nummer in
een foutieve invoer kunt u met toets WissenC
5. druk op toets OK
6. selecteer met
en
de gewenste VIP beltoon voor dit nummer
7. druk op toets om het geheugen vast te leggenOK
Kiezen:
1. druk op toets
2. zoek met behulp van de toetsen
en
het gewenste geheugen op
3. druk op de telefoon-aan toets om dit nummer te kiezen
Wijzigen:
1. druk op toets

Toetsblokkering:
1. druk gedurende ruim 2 seconden op toets * (STERRETJE) om de

R/Flash:
1. druk op toets om een FLASH puls te gevenR
de verbreeksduur van de FLASH puls is instelbaar; zie hiervoor het
hoofdstuk INSTELLINGEN TELEFOON
Mute (microfoon uit):
1. druk tijdens het gesprek kort op toets om de microfoon uit te scha-C
kelen
u kunt de andere partij nog wel horen, zij kunnen u echter niet
meer horen
2. nogmaals toets kort indrukken om de microfoon weer in te schake-C
len
Handset zoeken:
1. druk onder op de basis kort op toets
gedurende 60 seconden klinkt uit de handset een signaal en knip-
pert het woord ‘PAGING’ in het display van de handset; druk op de
telefoon-uit toets om het signaal voortijdig te beëindigen
Gesprekstimer:
1. gedurende het telefoongesprek wordt de verlopen gespreksduur in
het display weergegeven
Sneltoets bel-uit:
1. druk gedurende ruim 2 seconden op toets om de bel van de hand-#
set uit te schakelen
2. nogmaals toets ruim 2 seconden indrukken om de bel weer in te#
schakelen
GEBRUIKEN
Handenvrij:
U kunt het telefoongesprek voeren met de handset tegen uw oor of via
de ingebouwde luidspreker.
1. druk op de luidsprekertoets om de luidsprekerfunctie in te schakelen
2.
nogmaals de luidsprekertoets indrukken om de luidsprekerfunctie uit te
schakelen (de verbinding blijft in stand)
Oproep aannemen:
1. druk op de telefoon-aan toets om een oproep aan te nemen
zie het hoofdstuk INSTELLINGEN TELEFOON om een oproep
direct aan te nemen door alleen de handset uit de basis of oplader
te nemen
Opbellen:
blokkiezen:
1. voer via het toetsenbord het telefoonnummer in
een foutieve invoer kunt u met toets WissenC
2. druk op de telefoon-aan toets om het nummer te kiezen
direct kiezen:
1. druk op de telefoon-aan toets en wacht op de kiestoon
2. voer via het toetsenbord het telefoonnummer in, dit nummer wordt nu
direct gekozen
Oproep beëindigen:
1. druk op de telefoon-uit toets om een oproep te beëindigen
u kunt ook de handset terug in de basis of oplader plaatsen om de
oproep te beëindigen.
Hoornvolume:
1. druk tijdens het gesprek op de toetsen of om het volume te
verhogen of te verlagen
LAATSTE NUMMER GEHEUGEN
Nummerherhaling:
1. druk op toets , het laatst door u gekozen nummer verschijnt in het
display
2. zoek met en het gewenste nummer op
3. druk op de telefoon-aan toets om dit nummer te kiezen

handset aangemeld, rechts in het display wordt het interne nummer
van deze handset weergegeven (1~5)
Afmelden handsets:
Handsets die defect of kwijt zijn, dienen te worden afgemeld.
1. druk op toets OK
en selecteer de optie [ BASIS INST ]
2. druk 2x op toets en OK
voer de PIN
-code in (de fabriekscode 0000 of
uw eigen PIN-code)
4. druk op toets OK
en selecteer de handset die u wilt afmelden (*)

MULTIHANDSET
Introductie:
Op de PDX600 en PDX620. kunt u tot 5 draadloze handsets aansluiten
(aanmelden). Met meerdere handsets aangemeld, kunt u gratis in en
rond het huis met elkaar telefoneren en gesprekken doorverbinden of
zelfs met z’n drieën telefoneren.
Indien de telefoon is geleverd met één handset, dan kunt u extra hand
sets
(*)aanscha󰀨endieueerstmoetaanmelden(ziededesbetre󰀨ende
instructies verderop in deze gebruiksaanwijzing). Is de telefoon reeds in-
clusief meerdere handsets geleverd, dan kunt u direct intern telefoneren
en gesprekken doorverbinden.
* Let op dat dit ‘GAP COMPATIBLE’ handsets moeten zijn; GAP houdt
in dat handsets en basisstations van andere typen en/of merken door
elkaar gebruikt kunnen worden.
Intercom:
1. druk op toets C
2. 2 handsets in gebruik:

In het geval er een VoiceMail bericht voor u is achtergelaten bij de telefoon-
maatschappij, dan wordt dit in het display gemeld door het oplichten van
een envelopje. Zodra u dit bericht heeft beluisterd, dooft dit symbool.
Let op: deze functie is alleen beschikbaar op het FSK systeem en indien
ondersteund door de telefoonmaatschappij.
NUMMERWEERGAVE
Introductie:
Indien u beschikt over de dienst NummerWeergave, dan wordt het num-
mer van de opbellende partij op het display van uw handset(s) weerge-
geven. Stuurt uw telefoonmaatschappij ook namen door of heeft u dit
nummer, inclusief naam, in het telefoonboekgeheugen van de handset
geprogrammeerd, dan wordt tevens deze naam op het display weerge-
geven. Het NummerWeergave geheugen heeft een capaciteit van 10
nummers. Let op: is dit geheugen vol dan zal elke volgende inkomende
oproep de oudste oproep in het geheugen overschrijven.
Nieuwe oproepen:
Het display geeft aan of en hoeveel nieuwe oproepen in het Nummer-
Weergavegeheugen zijn opgeslagen die u nog niet gezien heeft. Zodra
u het geheugen heeft ingezien, dooft deze mededeling.
Geheugen inzien & terugbellen:
1. druk op toets ; de naam of het nummer van de laatst ontvangen
oproep verschijnt in het display
2. gebruik
en
om door het geheugen te bladeren
druk, als er een naam wordt weergegeven, op toets # om het num-
mer te zien; druk op toets en selecteer DETAILS om de tijd en OK
datum van de oproep te zien

Algemeen:
• Lees de gebruikershandleiding goed door en volg alle aanwijzingen op.
• Plaats of gebruik de telefoon nooit in een natte of vochtige ruimte of
omgeving.
• Zorg voor een goede afvloeiing van warmte;
bedek nooit de telefoon
en/of de voedingsadapter(s)
en plaats deze niet direct naast een
warmtebron.
• Gebruik uitsluitend de meegeleverde adapter(s); het aansluiten van
een ander type adapter kan schade aan de elektronica toebrengen.
• Zorg dat het telefoonsnoer en het adaptersnoer niet beschadigd ra-
ken en voorkom dat deze draden tot struikelen of vallen kunnen
leiden.
•
De basis, de handset(s), de oplader(s) en de adapter(s) nooit demon-
teren; dit dient alleen door gekwalificeerd personeel te gebeuren.
Installatie:
• Het telefoonsnoer en de voedingsadapter alleen aan
de basis
aansluiten of losnemen als de voedings
adapter uit het stopcontact en
de telefoon
stekker uit de telefoonwandcontactdoos is genomen.
• Installeer de telefoon niet tijdens een onweersbui.
• Installeer geen telefoonaansluitpunt in een natte of vochtige
omgeving.
• Raak geen ongeïsoleerde telefoon- of adaptersnoeren aan tenzij
deze zijn losgekoppeld van het telefoonnet of van de voeding.
Plaatsing:
• Bij voorkeur het toestel niet op met cellulose behandelde
opper
vlakken plaatsen; de rubber voetjes kunnen hierop sporen
achter
laten.
• Plaats de telefoon niet in de directe nabijheid van
andere telefoons of
andere elektronische (medische)
apparatuur, TL buizen en andere
gasontladingslampen; de uitgestraalde radiogolven van deze (en
andere) draadloze telefoon(s) kunnen het functioneren van de
apparatuur verstoren of de uitgestraalde signalen van de apparaten
verstoren het functioneren van de telefoon.
Datum en tijd:
In rust kunt u de tijd in het display van de handset laten weergegeven
en bij NummerWeergave wordt de tijd en de datum van de oproep
geregistreerd.
Bij [DATUMFORMAAT ] kunt u kiezen uit de weergave dag-maand-jaar
of maand-dag-jaar en bij [ TIJDFORMAAT ] kunt u kiezen tussen 12-uur
of 24-uur weergave. Voer de tijd en de datum in bij de respectievelijke
opties [ TIJD INSTEL ] en [ DATUM INST ].
Fabrieksinstellingen:
Via de optie [ STANDAARD ] kunt u de instellingen terug zetten zoals ze
waren toen de telefoon de fabriek verliet:

Belmelodie externe oproep: melodie 1

De geheugens blijven bij deze reset instructie ongemoeid.
Taal:
Hier kunt u de taal instellen waarmee de diverse instructies op het dis-
play weergegeven worden.
Instructies om terug te keren naar de Nederlandse taal in het geval u per
ongeluk een vreemde taal heeft ingesteld:
1. 3x ‘telefoon-uit toets drukken’
2. 1x toets OK drukken
2. 3x toets drukken

4. met en de Nederlandse taal selecteren

handsetnaam:
Via deze optie (NW NAAM HS) kunt u uw handset een naam geven.
gebruik toets om de oude naam te wissen en voer via het toetsenbord C
de nieuwe naam in van maximaal 10 karakters. Druk op toets om de OK
naam op te slaan.
Flashtijd:
Een flashpuls is een hele korte onderbreking van de telefoonverbinding.
De verbreekduur van de FLASH-puls kunt u instellen op [ KORT ] (100ms),
[ NORMAAL ] (300ms) of [ LANG ] (600ms). 100ms is de gestandaardi-
seerde verbreeksduur en deze tijd is vanaf de fabriek ingesteld.
Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw huis- of kantoorcentrale of uw
telefoonmaatschappij met betrekking tot de gewenste verbreeksduur.
PIN-code:
Bij [ PIN WIJZIG ] kunt u de PIN-code wijzigen die u nodig heeft bij het
aan- en afmelden van (nieuwe) handsets. De fabrieks PIN-code is 0000.
Zie het hoofdstuk ‘SYSTEEM RESET’ in het geval u de nieuwe PIN-
code kwijt of vergeten bent.
Belsignalen:
Selecteer de optie [ BEL INSTEL ] om de belsignalen van de handset in
te stellen:
- u kunt aparte melodieën instellen voor intercom oproepen en oproe-
pen van buiten af
- bij [INTERN BEL] en [EXTERN BEL] heeft u de keuze uit 10 verschil-
lende melodieën
- bij [BELVOLUME] heeft u de keuze uit 5 volume-standen en ‘volume-uit’
Handsettoontjes:
Via de optie [ TOON INSTEL ] kunt u de volgende toontjes in of uitscha-
kelen:
- [TOETSTOON]: toontjes die klinken bij het indrukken van een toets
- [BATTER TOON]: toontjes die klinken als de batterijen bijna leeg zijn
- [BUITENBEREIK]: toontjes die klinken als u buiten bereik raakt
Automatisch aannemen:
Met deze functie [ AUTOM.ANTW ] ingeschakeld kunt u oproepen aanne-
men door alleen de handset uit de basis of oplader te nemen; u hoeft dan
niet de telefoon-aan
toets te gebruiken. Let op: In het geval de handset
niet in de basis of in de oplader staat, dient u altijd de telefoon-aan toets
in te drukken om een oproep aan te nemen.
Alarm: (wekfunctie)
U kunt de telefoon op een vooraf ingesteld moment en gedurende 40
seconden een alarmtoontje laten geven. (of druk op een willekeurige
toets om het signaal voortijdig uit te schakelen)
Selecteer AAN om deze functie in te schakelen en voer daarna via het
toetsenbord de alarmtijd in (24-uurs systeem). Hierna kunt u de sluimer-
functie (snooze) in- of uitschakelen. Het alarm wordt niet automatisch
dagelijks herhaald.
Weergave handsetnaam of tijd:
Via de optie [ HS DISPLAY ] kunt u in rust het display van de handset de
handsetnaam of de actuele tijd laten weergeven.
Bereik:
Het bereik van de telefoon bedraagt tot 300 meter in het open veld en
tot 50 meter in huis; het bereik is afhankelijk van lokale omstandigheden.
Komt u buiten bereik van de basis dan gaat het symbool knipperen
en verschijnt de tekst [ ZOEKEN ] in het display. In deze toestand
kunt u niet gebeld worden en kunt u zelf ook niet uitbellen. Ook in het
geval de voedingsadapter van de basis uit het stopcontact genomen
wordt, verliest de handset het contact met de basis en zal het display
[ ZOEKEN ] weergeven en zal het antennesymbool gaan knipperen.
Enige minuten nadat de voedingsadapter weer aangesloten is, heeft de
handset het contact met de basis hersteld.
Lichtnetuitval:
Deze telefoon betrekt zijn voeding uit het lichtnet. In geval van uitval
van het lichtnet kan deze telefoon niet gebruikt worden. Het is daarom
raadzaam om een draadgebonden telefoon achter de hand te houden.
Hoortoestellen:
Dragers van oudere generatie hoortoestellen moeten bij gebruik van
DECT telefoons nog steeds rekening houden met een mogelijke
onaangename bromtoon.
Afluisteren:
Het afluisteren van een DECT telefoon is vrijwel onmogelijk. Niet alleen
dient men zich in het bereik van de DECT telefoon te bevinden, men
heeft hier ook kostbare apparatuur voor nodig.
Onderhoud:
• Reinig de telefoon uitsluitend met een vochtige
doek; gebruik geen
chemische reinigingsmiddelen.
• óór het reinigen dienen de adapter en het telefoonsnoerV
losgekoppeld te worden.

Medische apparatuur:
Het kan voorkomen dat ingeschakelde DECT telefoons
gevoelige
medische apparatuur storen. Storing zou kunnen optreden wanneer de
telefoon in de nabijheid van het medisch apparaat wordt gehouden. Leg
een DECT-telefoon niet op of tegen een medisch apparaat, ook niet als
deze in de stand-by mode staat.
Voeding handset:
• Het display van de handset heeft een ingebouwde
batterijcapaciteits-
meter:
: knippert als de batterijen geladen worden
: indicatie dat de batterijen geladen dienen te worden
knippert als de batterijen vrijwel leeg zijn
• Voor een optimaal gebruik raden wij u aan om de handset iedere
avond in de basis of oplader terug te plaatsen. Dit heeft geen nadelig
e󰀨ectvoordeoplaadbarebatterijen.
• Oplaadbare batterijen of batterijpakketten mogen niet blootgesteld
worden aan vuur of extreme warmte.
• Batterijen of batterijpakketten nooit opensnijden of zagen. De inhoud
is chemisch en giftig.
Milieu:
• De verpakking van deze telefoon kunt u als oud papier inleveren. Wij
adviseren echter om deze te bewaren zodat bij transport, de telefoon
adequaat verpakt kan worden.
• Wordt de telefoon vervangen, lever deze dan in bij
uw leverancier; zij
zorgen voor een milieuvriendelijke
verwerking.
• Defecte of uitgewerkte batterijen dient u in te leveren bij uw
plaatselijk depot voor klein chemisch afval of bij de speciaal

MOGELIJKE PROBLEMEN EN OPLOSSINGEN
Problemen met inkomende oproepen:
• Inkomende oproepen worden niet gemeld:
- De bel staat uitgeschakeld; schakel deze in.
• U bent continu in gesprek:
- Controleer of een 2e telefoon of een 2e handset die op de basis is
aangemeld, de lijn heeft belegd.
- Sluit een andere telefoon aan op uw telefoonaansluiting en
controleer op deze wijze of de storing in uw telefoon of in uw
aansluiting of bij uw telefoonmaatschappij ligt.
Problemen tijdens telefoneren:
• Beeptonen tijdens intercomgesprek:
- U wordt van buiten af opgebeld tijdens een intercomgesprek;
beëindig dit gesprek, wacht tot de bel normaal overgaat en
beantwoord de oproep
• Ruis en andere bijgeluiden:
- U raakt buiten bereik van de basis; verklein de afstand.
- In de nabijheid bevinden zich andere elektrische apparaten die storend
inwerken op de radiogolven van uw DECT telefoon; probeer een
andere locatie.
Problemen met NummerWeergave:
• U ontvangt geen Naam- of NummerWeergave informatie op het
display van uw handset.
- Controleer of uw telefoonmaatschappij deze signalen doorstuurt.
(bij sommige providers dient u zich te abonneren op deze dienst)
• U ontvangt wel de nummers maar niet de naam op het display van
uw telefoon.
- De telefoonmaatschappij stuurt geen namen door,
informeer hiervoor
bij uw telefoonmaatschappij.
- De naam is niet in het geheugen van uw handset geprogrammeerd;
programmeer deze.
-
De naam is wel in het geheugen geprogrammeerd
maar het
bijbehorende telefoonnummer is ingeprogrammeerd zonder
kengetal; programmeer het nummer inclusief kengetal.
Overig:
• Het display blijft blanco:
- De batterijen zijn leeg. Plaats de handset in de basis of in de
oplader om de batterijen op te laden en laat de handset minimaal
15 uur onafgebroken opladen.
• De handset wil niet inschakelen:
- De batterijspanning is te laag; plaats de handset in de basis of
oplader en laad de batterijen gedurende 15 uren op.
- De batterijen zijn niet geplaatst; controleer dit.
• De batterijen raken te snel leeg:
- Controleer de oplaadcontacten van de basis of oplader en van de
handset en reinig deze desgewenst.
- De batterijen zijn aan vervanging toe; vervang deze.
• De handset heeft geen contact met de basis:
- U bent te ver van de basis verwijderd; verklein de afstand.
- De basis is uitgeschakeld (adapter uit stopcontact); herstel dit.
- De handset is niet (meer) aangemeld aan de basis; meld deze
(opnieuw) aan.
In het geval de storing met de bovengenoemde oplossingen nog niet
verholpen is:
• Neem de batterijen uit de handset en neem de voedingsadapter en
de telefoonstekker uit de respectievelijke contactdozen; sluit alles na
enkele minuten weer aan.
SYSTEEM RESET (PIN-code vergeten)
Indien u de nieuwe PIN-code vergeten of kwijt bent of indien de telefoon
niet meer reageert, dan kunt u de telefoon volledig resetten waarbij de
PIN-code wordt teruggezet naar 0000. Let op dat ook de handset(s)
word(t)(en) afgemeld. Deze dient u opnieuw aan te melden.
1. neem de adapter uit het stopcontact
2. druk op de basis op toets EN HOUD DEZE TOETS INGEDRUKT
3. doe de adapter terug in het stopcontact (toets ingedrukt houden)
4. laat NA 30 SECONDEN toets los; de telefoon is nu gereset
5. meld nu de handset(s) weer aan zoals in het hoofdtuk ‘Multihandset’

INSTALLATION
Base station:
1. Plug the small connector at the phone cable into the back of the base
station (press the connector until you hear a click).
2. Plug the phone connector into the phone socket.
3. Plug the low voltage connector of the adapter into the backside of the
phone, and plug the adapter into a 230 Volt mains socket.
Handset:
1. Open the battery compartment of the handset, by sliding the battery
cover down.
2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment; at this, pay attention
to the polarity (+ and -).
3. Slide the battery cover back onto the handset and place the handset
on the base station.
4. Leave the handset continuously during 15 hours on the base station,
to charge the batteries properly.
Extra handsets and chargers:
If your phone has been delivered with multiple handsets, 2 batteries
and a charger with adapter will be included for every handset. Plug the
adapter of these chargers in a 230 Volt mains socket, insert the batteries
into the handset(s) and place the handset(s) on the charger(s) to charge
the batteries.

PHONE BOOK MEMORY
Introduction:
Every handset has a phone book memory with a capacity of 50 phone
numbers of at most 20 digits. You can program a name of at most 12 char-
acters with each number.
The phone book memory in the handset is connected to the function Caller
Identication.Whenyouarecalledbysomebody,whosenameandnum-
ber you have programmed in the memory, the name of this person is also
displayed beside the number on the display of your handset. However, for

MULTIPLE HANDSETS
Introduction:
You can connect (register) up to 5 wireless handsets to the PDX600 and
PDX620.Withmultipleregisteredhandsets,youcancalleachotherfor
free in and around the house and forward calls or even call with three
people.
If the phone has been delivered with one handset, u can purchase extra
handsets(*),whichyoushallregisterrst(seetheconcerninginstructions
further in this user manual). If the phone has been delivered with multiple
handsets, you can make internal calls and forward calls directly.
* Pay attention to the fact that these shall be ‘GAP COMPATIBLE’ hand-
sets. GAP means that handsets and base stations of other types and/or
brands are interchangeable.

CALLER IDENTIFICATION
Introduction:
IfyouhavetheserviceCallerIdenticationatyourdisposal,thenumber
of the calling party is displayed on the display of your handset(s). If your
carrier also transmits names, or you have programmed this number
including name and the phone book memory of the handset, the name is
alsodisplayedonthedisplay.TheCallerIdenticationmemoryhasaca-
pacity of 10 numbers. Attention: when this memory is full, every following
incoming call will overwrite the oldest call in the memory.
New calls:
This display indicates whether and how many new calls are stored in the
CallerIdenticationmemorythatyouhavenotseenyet.Assoonasyou

TIPS AND WARNINGS
General:
• Read the user manual carefully and follow all instructions.
• Never place or use the phone in a wet or moist room or environment.
• Take care of proper heat dissipation; never cover the phone and/or
the power supply adapter(s), and do not place them directly beside a
heat source.
• Use only the included adapter(s); connecting another type of adapter
may cause damage to the electronics.
• Take care that the cable of the phone and the adapter do not get
damaged, and prevent that they cause tripping or falling.
• Never disassemble the base station, the handset(s), the charger(s)
andtheadapter(s).Thismayonlybedonebyqualiedpersonnel.
Installation:
• Connect or disconnect the cables of the phone and the power supply
adapter only to the base station when the power supply adapter has
been unplugged from the mains socket, and the phone connector has
been disconnected from the phone socket.
• Do not install the phone during a lightning storm.
• Do not install a phone connection point in a wet or moist environment.
• Do not touch uninsulated phone or adapter cables, unless they are
disconnected from the phone network or the mains power.
Placement:
• Preferably, do not place the device on surfaces that have been
treated with cellulose; the rubber feet can leave traces on these.
• Do not place the phone in the direct vicinity of other phones or other
electronic (medical) devices, TL tubes and other gas discharge
lamps; the emitted radio waves of these (and other) wireless phone(s)
may disrupt the functioning of the equipment, or the emitted signals of
the equipment disrupt the functioning of the phone.
Date and time:
At idle, you can display the time on the display of the handset, an at
Caller Identification, the time and date of the call are registered.
You can chose from the formats day-month-year or month-day-year
at [DATE FORMAT], and you can chose from 12 hour or 24 hour time
format at [TIME FORMAT]. Enter the time and the date at the respective
options [SET TIME] and [SET DATE].
Factory settings:
You can reset the settings the way they were when the phone left the
factory, through the option [STANDARD]:

Call melody external call: melody 1
Call melody internal call: melody 2
Reception volume: level 3.

The memories stay undisturbed with this reset instruction.
Language:
Here you can set the language in which the various instructions are
displayed on the display.
Instructions to revert to the English language, in case you have set a
foreign language accidentally:
1. Press the key ‘phone-o’ 3 times.
2. Press the key once.OK
3. Press key times.
4. Press the key once.OK
5. Press key times.
6. Press the key once.OK
7. Select the English language with and .
8. Press the key once.OK
9. Press the key phone-o to return to the idle mode of the handset.
Name handset:
Youcannameyourhandsetthroughtheoption(NWNAMEHS).Use
key to delete the old name and enter the new name of at most 10 C
characters through the keyboard. Press the key to save the name.OK
Flash time:
A flash pulse is a very short interruption the phone connection. You can
set the interruption time of the FLASH pulse on [SHORT] (100 ms), [ME-
DIUM] (300 ms) or [LONG] (600 ms). 100 ms is the standardized inter-
ruption time, and this time is set at the factory. Refer to the user manual
of your home or office switchboard or consult your carrier concerning the
desired interruption time.
PIN code:
You can change the PIN code, which you need with registering and
deregistering of (new) handset, with [CHANGE PIN]. The factory PIN
code is 0000. See chapter ‘SYSTEM RESET’, in case you have lost or
forgotten the new PIN code.
Ring signals:
Select the option [RING SETUP] to select the ring tones of the handset:
- You can set dierent melodies for intercom calls and calls from outside.
- You can chose from 10 dierent melodies for [INT. RING] and [EXT.
RING].
- You can chose from 5 volume levels and ‘volume-o’ for [RING VOL-
UME].
Handset tones:
You can enable or disable the following tones through the option [TONE
SETUP]:
- [KEY TONE]: the tones that sound when you press a key.
- [BATTERY TONE]: the tones that sound when the batteries are low.
- [OUT OF RANGE]: the tones that sound when you get out of reach.
Answering automatically:
Whenthefunction[AUTOANSWER]isenabled,youcanacceptcallsby
only taking the handset from the base station or charger; then you do not
need to use the phone-on key. Attention: In case the handset is not placed
on the base station or the charger, you always need to press the phone-on
to accept a call.
Alarm: (alarm function)
You can set the phone to sound an alarm tone during 40 seconds at a
presetmoment(orpressanykeytoswitcho󰀨thesignalprematurely).
Select ON to enable this function, and enter the alarm time through the
keyboard (24 hour system). After this, you can enable or disable the
snooze function. The alarm is not repeated automatically daily.
Displaying name or time on the handset:
At idle, you can display the name or the actual time of the handset on
the display of the handset, through the option [DISPLAY HS].
Range:
The range of the phone is up to 300 meters in the open field and up to
50metersinside;therangedependsonlocalcircumstances.Whenyou
get out of reach of the base station, the symbol will start flashing and
the text [SEARCHIG] appears on the display. In this state, you cannot
receive or make any calls. In case the power supply adapter of the base
station is unplugged from the mains socket, the handset will lose contact
with the base station, the display will display [SEARCHING], and the
antenna symbol will start flashing. The handset will restore contact with
the base station within several minutes after the power supply adapter
has been plugged in again.
Power failure:
This phone obtains its power supply from the mains power. In case of
failure of the mains power, this phone cannot be used. Therefore it is
advisable to keep a wired phone in reserve.
Hearing aids:
Users of older generation hearing aids always shall keep into account a
possible uncomfortable buzzing tone when using DECT phones.
Eavesdropping:
Eavesdropping on a DECT phone is virtually impossible. Not only shall
one be within reach of the DECT phone, one also needs expensive
equipment.
Maintenance:
• Clean the phone only with a moist cloth; do not use any chemical
detergents.
• The adapter and the phone cable shall be disconnected before
cleaning.

Medical equipment:
It is possible that enabled DECT phones interfere with sensitive medical
equipment.Whenthephoneiskeptinthevicinityofthemedicaldevice,
interference can occur. Do not place a DECT phone on or near a medical
device, not even when it is in standby mode.
Power supply handset:
• The display of the handset is provided with a built-in battery capacity
meter:
: flashes when the batteries are charged.
: indication that the batteries must be charged
flashes when the batteries are low.
• Werecommendplacingthehandseteveryeveningonthebase
station or charger, for optimal use. This does not have an adverse
e󰀨ectontherechargeablebatteries.
• Rechargeablebatteriesorbatterypacksshallnotbeexposedtore
or extreme heat.
• Never cut open batteries of battery packs. The content is chemical
and poisonous.
Environment:
• The packaging of this telephone can be collected as old paper.
However, we recommend you to save it, to adequately protect the
phone during transport.
• Whenreplacingthistelephone,pleasereturnittothesupplierto
ensure environment-friendly processing.
• You shall dispose of faulty or exhausted batteries at your local
depot for small chemical waste, or at the specially designated
battery collection points.
Never dispose of batteries with the household waste.
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Problems with incoming calls:
• Nonoticationofincomingcalls:
- The bell is disabled; enable it.
• You are continuously busy:
- Check whether a 2nd phone or a 2nd handset that has been
registered with the base station, is using the line.
- Connect another phone to your phone connection, and use this to
check whether the malfunction originates from your connection or
your carrier.
Problems during calling:
• Beep tones during an intercom call:
- You are called from outside during an intercom call; end this call,
wait until the phone rings normally and answer the call.
• Noise and other distortions:
- You are getting out of reach of the base station; reduce the
distance.
- There are other electrical devices in the vicinity that interfere with
the radio waves of your DECT phone; try another location.
Problems with Caller Identification:
• YoudonotreceiveNameorCallerIdenticationinformationonthe
display of your handset.
- Check whether your carrier transmits these signals (you shall
subscribe to this service with some providers).
• You do receive the numbers on the display of your phone, but not the
name.
- The carrier does not forward names; consult your carrier for this.
- The name has not been programmed in the memory of your
handset; program it.
- The name has been programmed in the memory, but the
accompanying phone number has been programmed without area
code; program the number including area code.
Other:
• The display stays blank:
- The batteries are empty. Place the handset on the base station or
on the charger to charge the batteries, and let the handset charge
during at least 15 hours uninterrupted.
• The handset does not switch on:
- The battery voltage is too low; place the handset on the base
station or the charger and charge the batteries for 15 hours.
- The batteries have not been inserted; check this.
• The batteries get low too fast:
- Check the charging contacts of the base station or the charger and
of the handset, and clean them if necessary.
- The batteries shall be replaced; replace them.
• The handset does not have contact with the base station:
- You are too far from the base station; reduce the distance.
- The base station has been switched off (adapter from the mains
socket); correct this.
- The handset is not registered with the base station (anymore);
register it (again).
In case the failure has not been solved with aforementioned solutions:
• Remove the batteries from the handset, and unplug the power
supply adapter and the phone connector from their sockets; connect
everything again after several minutes.
SYSTEM RESET (forgot PIN code)
If you have lost or forgotten the new PIN code, or if the phone does not
respond anymore, you can completely reset the phone, at which the PIN
code is reset to 0000. Take care to deregister the handset(s). You shall
register it again.
1. Unplug the adapter from the mains socket.
2. Press the key on the base station AND KEEP THIS KEY PRESSED.
3. Plug the adapter back into the mains socket (keep key pressed).
4. Release the key AFTER 30 SECONDS; the phone had been
reset.
5. Now register the handset(s) again, as described in chapter ‘Multiple
handsets’.
