Installation
1. Clean the pipe threads, and then apply pipe thread sealant to the male pipe threads. Do NOT use sealant on are tting ends as
this will prevent a good seal.
2. Form the connector into installation shape avoiding sharp or repeated bending.
3. Wrench-tighten the brass Safety+PLUS valve tting to the manual shut-off valve and the steel are union tting to appliance
pressure regulator. Use a second wrench to stabilize the shut-off valve and regulator during tightening.

WARNING
Do NOT connect the Safety+PLUS valve tting directly to the appliance pressure regulator. If installed at the appliance regulator, the Safety+ PLUS
valve tting will NOT operate properly and will NOT respond to excess gas ow.
WARNING
DO NOT TURN ON THE APPLIANCE UNTIL ALL CONNECTIONS ARE LEAK TESTED! DO NOT use a ame or another source of ignition to test for
leaks.
4. Wrench-tighten the captive connector nuts to the Safety+PLUS valve tting and steel tting. Use a second wrench to stabilize
the shut-off valve.
5. Turn on the gas supply and test all connections for leaks with the included leak detector solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak
is present, turn off the gas and tighten the connection further, then test the connections for leaks again.
