Fin-Nor Santiago reels represent the latest in technology from the company that has been
synonymous with big game fishing for more that 75 years. From the beginning, Fin-Nor reels
were developed based on the needs of captains who were targeting trophy tuna, marlin and
swordfish. Bigger and stronger reels were required to land these “sea monsters”, and Fin-
Nor was able to deliver. Fin-Nor’s brand became as much a part of big game fishing history,
as did the fish that were caught. Over 900 – and counting – World Records have been caught
by Fin-Nor, including the current All-Tackle Black Marlin (1560 lbs. ), Pacific Blue
Marlin (1402 lbs.) and Swordfish (1182 lbs.).
Over time, and especially in recent years, big game fishing has advanced; but the need for
quality and performance has only gotten more critical. Stronger, thinner-diameter lines are
being used on smaller-sized reels, requiring high-performance, wide-range and ultra-smooth
drags. Fin-Nor Santiago was engineered specifically for these new challenges. No other reel
has a better tradition, nor is advanced or designed as well as Santiago.
