COMMON INSTALLATION SCENARIOS
There are 2 common installation scenarios for BM88 boom arm.
Scenario 1: install the boom arm on the side of the table.
Scenario 2: install the boom arm at the back of the monitor.
STEP 1: MEASURE THE DESK EDGE (VERTICAL)
Use the tape measure to measure your desk edge. The BM88 supports
the thickness of desk edge between 0.8-2.4 inches (20-60 mm)
If the thickness of the table edge is less than 0.8 inches, the table
clamp installed on it cannot remain stable. If the table edge is thicker
than 2.4 inches, the table clamp cannot be installed.
Tips: Make sure that both the top and the underside of the desk clamp
are resting on flat surface. Overly rounded or overhanging desktop
deges do not make good mounting surfaces.
STEP 2: MEASURE THE DESK EDGE (HORIZONTAL)
The table edge must provide a minimum clearance of 2.1 inches
(approximately 55 mm) to properly accommodate the mounting clamp.
Or the table clamp installed on it cannot remain stable
Pull out the tape measure to 27.8 inches (706 mm), to simulating the
maximum length of the BM88 boom arm. And test whether it can fit
your microphone use. (You may stretch the tap measure a little bit
more for simulate the size of microphone.)
STEP 3: MAXIMUM LENGTH SUPPORT
Tips: If you are using a condenser microphone with a longer pickup
range, you can position yourself slightly farther away from the
microphone.
If you are using a dynamic microphone with a shorter pickup range, you
will need to position yourself closer to the microphone.
If you want to use the , the distance between Installation Scenario 2
the desktop and the lower edge of the monitor must exceed 4.2
inches (107 mm). Otherwise, the BM88 arm cannot extend beneath
the monitor.
STEP 4: MEASURE THE LOWER EDGE OF THE MONITOR
Tips: The base clamp provides horizontal rotation, but does not allow
for vertical angle adjustment.
