Note
The micro filter PFML-90-HP3-... can be retrofitted with a fully automatic conden
sate drain and a differential pressure sensor.
–It is possible to drain the condensate manually or retrofit a fully automatic
condensate drain at the connection G½ aB.
–Connections Gx are present on the front and rear side to retrofit a differential
pressure sensor for pressure sensing.
–Blanking plugs and the matching sealing rings for sealing the connections Gx
and G½ are included in the scope of delivery.
–Press-on front cover is not included in the scope of delivery.
2Application
The micro filter PFML-90-HP3 is intended exclusively to remove dirt particles and
oil drops from the compressed air supplied.
The product may only be used in its original status without unauthorised modi
fications. Only the assembly and commissioning activities described in these
operating instructions are permissible.
Observe the permissible limit values and specifications (è Technical data).
Only use the product if it is in an excellent technical status.
Only use pre-filtered compressed air as an operating medium in accordance with
the specification (è Technical data).
Operation with fluids or gases is impermissible.
Use the filters only in the marked flow direction.
Take into consideration the legal regulations applicable for the location as well as:
–Regulations and standards,
–Regulations of the testing organisations and insurers,
–National specifications.
3Installation
Note
Installation should only be conducted by qualified personnel.
Connecting plates of the type PAML-CP are required for direct mounting of an
individual device.
Module connectors of type PAML-MK are needed for linking individual devices
to a service unit.
Information on mounting of module connectors, connecting plate and mounting
brackets can be found in the documentation enclosed with the accessories.

1.Check the system conditions on site before installation:
–The piping system is unpressurized and no medium flows in it.
–The supply lines are clean and free of wear-causing particles.
–The alternative pressure supply port is tightly plugged and sealed with
a blanking plug and related sealant (not contained in scope of delivery).
–The connections for differential pressure sensor aJaA, and condensate drain
aB are tightly plugged and sealed (Blanking plugs and the related sealing
rings are included in the scope of delivery).
–The filter bowl 2 is firmly tightened on the housing.
–Shut-off valves for venting the system are mounted in the compressed air
supply line.
2.Put the filter in its mounting position.
–Observe the flow direction. The numerals 1 (inlet side) and 2 (outlet side) on
the product housing serve as orientation (è Fig. 1).
–Comply with the minimum distance beneath the filter bowl of 210 mm.
–Align vertically standing with filter bowl below (vertical ±5°).
3.Push the module connector aC into the grooves of the filter and of the adjacent
individual device.
4.Connect the filter with the adjacent individual device.
–Place the supplied seal aD at the connection point.
–Push the filter and adjacent individual device together and mount the module
connector.
5.Assemble the service unit and connect it to the compressed air line.
When using the alternative compressed air supply port 7
Screw the connector into the pneumatic connection using a suitable sealant.
–Connection size 1".
–Screw-in depth 18 mm.
Securely seal the compressed air supply port 5. Use a connecting plate
PAML-CP (è Accessories) and appropriate blanking screws and sealant.
4Commissioning
Note
Commissioning should only be conducted by qualified personnel.
Observe the specifications on the rating plate.
Place the micro filter in operation only when it is completely assembled and
installed.
Check the connection points for tightness.
