Replacing the needle
Risk of injury!
There is a risk of injury from accidental operation of the foot control or speed switch.
-
Once you have finished working or before you start maintenance, always turn off
and unplug the machine.
-
Turn the hand wheel towards you until the needle has reached its highest position.
-
Loosen the needle holding screw by turning it (anticlockwise) towards you.
-
Remove the needle from the needle holder.
-
Insert a new needle with the flat side facing backwards. Push the needle upwards
until can go no further.
-
Tighten the needle holding screw again (by turning it clockwise).
