ELAC Varro Subwoofer Troubleshooting Guide

This troubleshootingguide isintendedfor ELAC VARROsubwooferowners, dealers, andsupportpersonnel.

It coverssetup,connectivity,appcontrol,AutoEQ, firmware updates, andcommonaudioperformance

issues.

1.

Initial SetupChecklist

oConfirm the subwoofer is connected to power and switched on.

oVerify all RCA, speaker-level, or trigger connections are secure.

oConfirm the AVR or source device subwoofer output is enabled.

oInstall the ELAC Sub Control 3.0 app on iOS or Android.

oVerify the subwoofer firmware is current.

oConfirm proper placement and ventilation.

App andBLE

o

Ensure Bluetoothisenabledonthemobiledevice.

o

Move closertothesubwooferduringpairing.

o

Close and reopen theappifthesubwooferisnotdiscovered.

o

Restart thephone/tablet andpower cyclethesubwoofer.

o

Remove oldBluetoothpairingspersist. ifconnectionissues

o

Ensure locationpermissions areenabledonAndroiddevices.

o

Only one deviceshouldactivelyat controlthesubwoofer a time.

BLE ConnectionPersistenceIssue

o

In somesituations,theamplifier maycontinueholding a previousBluetoothLowEnergy (BLE)

session aftertheappclosesordisconnects unexpectedly.

o

Symptoms mayincludefailed reconnection attempts, inabilitytodiscoverthesubwoofer,or

the app appearing stuckon'Connecting'.

To resolve thisissue:

o

Fully closetheELAC SubControlapp.

o

Wait approximatelyamplifier – 3060secondsforthe torelease theBLEsession

automatically.

o

Reopen theappandattempt reconnection.

If theissuepersists:

o

Turn thesubwooferOFF.

o

Wait – 1015seconds.

o

Turn thesubwooferback ON

o

Power cyclingtheamplifier willforce theBLEsessiontoresetrestores andtypically

communication.
