WARNING!To complywithFCCand ICRFexposure
compliancerequirements,the PIRdetectorshould be
located at a distanceofatleast20 cmfromall persons
during normaloperation.Theantennasusedforthis
product mustnotbeco-locatedoroperatedincon-
junction withanyotherantennaortransmitter.
NOTE: ThePG Serieswireless PIR Motiondetectors
shallbeinstalled and usedwithinanenvironment that
providesthepollution degreemax 2 andovervoltages
category IIinNONHAZARDOUSLOCATIONS.
Theequipment is designedtobeinstalledonlybyqual-
ified servicepersons.
NOTE: To ensurethecontinued operation of allwire-
less devicesafterperformingasystemdefault,a
global uploadofallwirelessprogrammingviaDLSis
recommended beforedefaultingthe system.After
completing thesystem default,downloadthewireless
programming.
NOTE: Backtamperswitchisrequired forULcom-
mercial b urglaryinstallations.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Initialbattery installation shouldbe doneon aflatsur-
face. Afterinsertingthe batteries,theLED flashesfor
60 secondsand thedetector entersa15minute local
diagnostic mode.
NOTE: Whenmanually programming wireless
devices, ifadevic ehasbeenpow eredupformore
than 48 hoursit cannotbeenrolledintothesystem
until thedevicehasbeentamperedandrestored.
Whenprogrammingthepanelusing Quick Enroll,fol-
low thestepsdetailedin "Enrollment."
NOTE: A fterrestoringalowbattery troublethesys-
temmaytakeup to5 minutes to clearthetrouble.
ENROLLMENT
To quick enroll:
1.On akeypad press[*][8] [InstallerCode] [804]
[000].
2.Pressand hold thedeviceenroll button untilthe
LEDlights steady and then releasetheenrollbut-
tonwhiletheLEDisstill lit.Aconfirmation mes-
sage thenappears onthekeypad.
3.Press [*]keytoconfirmID.
4.Enter [3digit zone#].
5.Enter [3digit zonetype].
6.Enter [1digit partition#]for alldesiredpartitions
and press [#].Ifusing an LCD keypad you can
scroll tothedesiredpartitions andpress [*]to
togglethe partition.
7.On an LCDkeypad enter the label by using word
library.
To pre-enroll:
1.RemotelyconfiguretheuniqueIDnumber intothe
system.For more informationsee the HSM2HOST
manual.
2.Whenon-site,press thedeviceenroll button.
NOTE: Ifthewirelessdevicehasbeenpowered for
morethan48hourswithout b einge nrolled,tampe r
andrestore thedevice toenrollit.
PLACEMENT AND WALK TESTING
Before permanentlymounting anywirelessdevice,
temporarilymount thedeviceandperformaPlace-
menttest.Performawalktest ofthecoverage area at
leastoncea yeartoensure that the detectoriswork-
ing correctly.
1.Tamper thedeviceby removing thecover.
2.Restore the tamper.The device
now enters Placement test
modefor 15 minutes.
3.Trip the deviceand the red
LEDblinks oncetoidentify
thatasignal isbeingsent tothe
receiverand then blinks three
times to identify thesignal
strength. Toperform awalk
test,walkacrossthe far endof
coverage pattern in both dir-
ections. Thefollowing table indicates receivedsig-
nal strengthindication.

MOUNTINGTHE DEVICE
Installation Notes:Thetopcovershouldonly be
accessed byauthorizedservicepersonnelor man-
ufacturer.Donotobscurethedetector fieldofview
withlargeobjects.Install inpositionsuchthatexpec -
ted intrudermotionisperpendiculartothezonesof
detection.
Alarmstriggered byconditions such as weather, blow-
ingleavesand brush,orrelatedenvironmental con-
ditions, etc.,needtobeconsideredwh enasse ssingthe
installation and application.If nuisancetripsarenot
tolerableit isrecommendedthatthewirelessoutdoor
intrusiondetection unitisenrolled inthesystem toa
zonethatis definedas atroublealarmcircuit.
1.Fixthebracketfirmlyonastablewall orpillar.
Theorientationofthefixedbracket must beaspar-
allel as possibleto thesurveyed ground surface.

screws.
