Installation
Important!
Please note when programming all references to press = to press once and then immediately release the
button.
Battery
Use only a 3 volt (CR2032) Lithium Manganese Dioxide coin cell type backup battery
to retain the time and any alarm setting during power failure (for a maximum of 4
days). Please note the time display and alarm will not function under power failure
conditions even if a backup battery is installed.
To open the battery compartment, locate the battery cover on the underside of the
unit and insert a coin in the groove and turn. Ensure the battery is installed observing
correct battery polarity, do NOT use rechargeable batteries.
Once a year the battery should be replaced with the same or equivalent type (CR2032).
Installing the clock radio
1. If you require the time and alarm settings to be retained during power failure t the
back up battery as described above.
2. The thin cord underneath the equipment is the radio antenna. Fully extend the
wire in varying positions to achieve optimum reception, do not keep coiled, cut or
tamper with this cable.
3. Connect the mains adapter to an electrical wall socket and to the socket underneath
the clock radio.
4. Press CLOCK/DATE.
5. Set to the correct time using {/}
. Press and hold either button to scroll quickly.
6. Press CLOCK/DATE to conrm.
7. Set the date, month & year using {/}
. Press and hold either button to scroll
quickly.
8. Press RADIO OFF to save your settings.
Please note!
If no button is pressed within 7-8 seconds while in programming mode the unit will revert to the previous
settings. Only use with the supplied power adaptor.
Under power failure conditions this telephone will not operate. Please ensure that a separate
telephone not dependant on local power is available for emergency use. The handset may attract small
ferromagnetic objects such as pins or staples, care should be taken when placing the handset near such
items. Do not place the base unit close to other electrical equipment such as TV sets, computer screens,
telecom equipment, fans etc. This will minimize the risk of interference. Do not place the base unit in
areas where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, other major heat sources, damp or moisture.
