GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MBS Receiver for Dimplex DuoHeat Radiators. To be used in conjunction with RX010007 MBS programmer.
(Please refer to RX010007 Operating Instructions).
RX010007 provides central control for up to 20 radiators across 2 zones, using existing wiring to communicate to
the radiator(s). One RX03002 receiver is required for each radiator. The receiver accepts the MBS signal and
converts it to a pilot wire output, automatically switching the radiator(s) between comfort and set back modes in
accordance with the preset programme. Each receiver can manually override the comfort and set back settings
sent by the central control program for the radiator(s) if required.
INSTALLATION
Wall mounting
Firstly decide where you are going to install
the receiver, in conjunction with the clear-
ance of minimum 50mm shown in Fig. 2.
Screw the receiver to the wall using one of
the 4 bracket types or the adhesive pads.

Wiring
IMPORTANT – ISOLATE BOTH MAINS SUPPLIES
TO THE RADIATOR BEFORE INSTALLING
The receiver unit should be connected to the DuoHeat radiator
by connecting the pilot wires from the heater and MBS receiver
unit together.
Connect the brown (L) and blue (N) wires from the RX03002
MBS receiver unit and the DuoHeat radiator to the mains
supply. Connect the black wire (Pilot) from the receiver unit
to the black wire from the DuoHeat radiator front panel using
a through crimp.
Make the connections such that the MBS receiver will be
isolated together with the direct acting power supply to the
heater when the fused spur is switched off.
Switch on the mains supply and the receiver is now ready to
be configured.
Configuration
Set the MBS central controller RX010007 to the configuration
mode. (Please refer to section 5 of RX010007 instructions)
The RX03002 receives information from the central controller
unit and transmits it to the Duo heat radiator.
You must now configure the MBS receiver with the MBS
central controller (RX010007)
Press the key briefly and the
green ‘OK’ light will flash steady.
The receiver is now configured.
If the green ‘OK’ light flashes slowly then the receiver is not
configured. Press and hold the key for 10 seconds until
the green ‘OK’ light flashes slowly then press again briefly,
the green ‘OK’ light should flash steady and the receiver is
now configured.
Operation
Receiver modes are explained in the table below:

Manual Override
Each RX03002 MBS receiver can manually override the
comfort and set back settings sent by the RX010007 MBS
central controller. ‘Frost protection’ and the ‘Off’ setting
cannot be overridden by the receiver only by the central
control unit. Room temperature is set by the controls on the
radiator. (See Table 2).

If the program has been manually overridden at by the
MBS receiver, the MBS controller unit will automatically
change the setting at the start of the next program.
To manually change the setting again press key on
receiver
Cleaning
The outside of the receiver should be wiped over with a soft
damp cloth and then dried. Do not use detergents or abrasives.
After Sales Service
Your Dimplex receiver is guaranteed for one year from date
of purchase. We undertake to exchange or repair free of
charge within this period, any part found to be defective.
Should you require after sales service, please get in touch
with the supplier through whom you purchased the product,
or contact Dimplex Customer Service.
Please do not initially return a faulty product, or part of, to us
as this may result in transit damage and/or a delay in
providing service. Let us know your difficulty by quoting the
model number and we will take the appropriate action.
