1. Introduction

The DIGITUS® HDMI eARC Converter/Splitter oers two operang

modes: Mode 1 -> eARC Audio Extractor Connect an HDMI2.1 –

device (e.g. XBox Series X, PS5) with an UHD TV while you connue to

use your old AVR (Audio Video Receiver). Uncompressed 5.1 / 7.1

Surround Sound as well as ATMOS and DTS can be extracted from

your TV's eARC or ARC port on any standard HDMI input (NOT eARC

port) of your older AVR or your soundbar. Streaming devices/scks,

satellite TV, streaming apps on your smart TV benet from opmal

audio contents. Mode 2 -> Audio Splitter With the local HDMI input –

and switching o eARC extracon at the converter switch, it is

possible to split the audio stream of any HDMI multi-channel audio

source and transmit the video to any HDMI 2.0 TV. The audio output

oers a black 720p image for compability with any older AVR using

HDMI 1.3 and higher.
