Intended use:
The Rhinestone Setter is intended exclusively for use in dry interior
areas. The Rhinestone Setter is an electric heating tool for fixing
rhinestones onto paper, textile, suede, leather, wood, cork and other
materials by means of heated metal tips. The Rhinestone Setter is
suitable for thermo-glue-coated rhinestones rivets, halves of pearls and
shaped stones. These stones and pearls are provided with a thermo
glue coat on the back side. The glue starts to liquefy already from
approximately 120°C and hence makes the connection between the
material and the stone possible. Any other use is not permitted. Such
use can lead to injuries (burns) of the user and damages of the material.
In these cases, the manufacturer carries no liability.
Safety instructions:
 CAUTION! When not in use, this Rhinestone Setter must be placed
on the security stand (picture VIII).
 When the device is placed on the stand, the surface underneath must
be firm, not flammable and horizontal.
 This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or lacking
experience and/or lacking knowledge unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or they receive instructions on
how to use the appliance.
 Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
 In order to avoid hazards, if the mains connection of this appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer
service or a similarly qualified person.
 A fire can break out if the appliance is not handled carefully.
 Ensure that the connecting cable does not come into contact with
heat, oil or sharp edges. Damaged connecting cables can cause fires,
short-circuits and electric shocks.
 Before use, remove combustible objects, liquids and gases from the
working area of the appliance. Keep your working area clean in order
to prevent accidents.
 Before use, check that the tool tip is correctly attached to the appliance.
The hot tips and their receptacles must not be brought into contact
with skin, hair, etc. Risk of burns.
 After use, place the Rhinestone Setter on the stand and allow it to
cool down before packing it away.
 As long as it is in use, do not leave the appliance unsupervised.
 Do not emerge the appliance into water and do not expose it to
moisture. Risk of electric shock!
 When the appliance is not in use, store it in a safe place protected
from dust and moisture.
 Check the appliance for damage. Do not use if damaged!
 During use, ensure adequate ventilation. Ensure that no poisonous
gases or vapours can be inhaled. Wear protective clothing (e.g. long
sleeved clothing, protective goggles).
 For longer work interruptions, disconnect the appliance from the voltage
source.
Avoid use of the appliance on all plastic or synthetic material surfaces.
NOT SUITABLE for surfaces of electronic devices, such as e.g. mobile
phones, as the setter reaches a high temperature and may melt the
material and/or the surfaces.
 Do not decorate clothes of small children with rhinestones (small parts
could get swallowed).
 After fixing the rhinestones wash your hands carefully.
 Observe national and international safety, health and work protection
regulations.

Please take your time and read the operating instructions carefully
before putting the appliance into operation and keep the operating
instructions for future reference.

Important information before putting the device
into operation:
 Read the security instructions before putting the setter into operation!
 Before starting up unpack the Rhinestone Setter Kit completely and
check the contents.
 In the delivery the flat tip ø 9,5 mm is fitted. You must screw this tip off
first, before you start working with another tip.
 To fix stones provided in the delivery, we recommend the use of the
concave tip with marking 16 on it.
 Before you start work, try the appliance and fix a rhinestone on a
unnoticeable place on the material (e.g. on the inner side of the material.
Through this test application you avoid a damage of the material on
a noticeable area).
 The workmanship can be improved if the tip warms up only the stone
and does not come into contact with the glue.
 The correct application of a stone on the material is guaranteed only
if the cut side of the stone is pointing up (picture IV).
 Do not adjust the stone with the glue coated side pointing up (picture
V), otherwise the stone and the tip will stick together.
Putting the device into operation:
 Screw the suitable tool tip onto the Rhinestone Setter. Do not screw
on the tip with force!
 Now place the Rhinestone Setter onto the security stand (see  
picture VIII.).
 Plug in the appliance.
 Let the appliance preheat for 5 minutes till the optimal working
temperature is reached. (The temperature of the tip depends on the
size of the tip.)
 Now place the rhinestone with the cut side pointing up onto the intended
spot of the material (e.g. a leather belt). The side of the rhinestone
coated with glue is placed on the material.
 Now place the Rhinestone Setter with its preheated tip on the top of
the stone carefully and press it lightly. Within seconds the glue will
liquefy and the stone will be stuck to the material.
 To connect a rhinestone to the material you will need approximately
3 - 15 seconds. (This time is necessary for liquefying of the glue and
thus for a successful connection of the stone and material. The length
of the application depends on the size and make of the rhinestones).
Afterwards it is possible to apply the next rhinestone.
 Repeat this procedure until the desired motive is completed.
 Should a rhinestone get blocked in the tip during the application, remove
it with a pair of tweezers. (See picture VI  use a pair of tweezers to
avoid getting burned on the hot tip). Only afterwards a new stone can
be applied.
 In case you need to change the tip when it is still hot, use a tool (e.g.
a pair of tweezers) to avoid getting burned (see picture III).
Switching off:
Place the Rhinestone Setter on the security stand, as shown on picture
VIII. (Improper handling can cause burns and a fire can start.)
Now disconnect the appliance from the voltage supply source (unplug
it). Let the Rhinestone Setter cool down completely. As long as it has
not completely cooled down, do not leave the appliance unsupervised.
(The cooling down time depends on the tip in use. You will need e.g.
appx 20 minutes till the tip with marking 16 cools down after use down
to 25°C. The ambient temperature also has an influence on the cooling
down time. A general rule is that the higher the ambient temperature is,
the longer the cool down takes.
When the completely cooled down appliance is not in use, store it in a
safe place protected from dust and moisture.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Only clean the Rhinestone Setter with a dry cloth when it has cooled
down. Only clean the surface of the tool tip with a dry cloth or a cleaning
fleece (e.g. CFH No. 52349) when it has cooled down. A cleaning fleece
is available in many building stores and can be obtained there. The
Rhinestone Setter is maintenance-free.
Warranty:
To claim the warranty the receipt for payment is absolutely necessary.
All wear parts (e.g. tool tips) are excluded from the warranty. All other
costs as working time, transport, freight and packaging go at the expense
of the buyer in a case of a warranty claim. CFH reserves the right either
to carry itself the expenses which might arise, or to pass them to the
buyer. The warranty does not include claims occurring through operational
difficulties, willful damage, misuse, alterations, misapplication, careless
use, wear or wrong assembly.
Disposal:
The crossed through dustbin on this product indicates that at the end
of its service life the appliance has to be disposed of separately and not
together with household waste. In future, please bring the Rhinestone
Setter to the established municipal collecting points in your local
community.
