OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling iron is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
STYLING WITH THE NEW TOURMALINE
CERAMIC EASY-GLIDE BARREL
The barrel of your new curling iron has a
tourmaline ceramic easy-glide surface, the
newest technology. This means it’s not only
simpler to clean off styling product residue, etc.,
after each use, but you’ll find that hair glides
easily over the surface of the barrel as you’re
curling. The tourmaline ceramic surface also
helps smooth down flyaways and frizzies.
It evenly distributes heat so that the style you
create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth, shiny
nish. Hair also slips right off the barrel after
it’s curled.
The new Tourmaline Ceramic Technology is a
pleasure to work with and makes styling your
hair easier and the results more professional.
GETTING STARTED
SWITCH ACTIVATION CONTROL
IMPORTANT! This appliance features delayed
activation control. Immediately after turning the
appliance on, you are able to adjust the
temperature. After 5 seconds of the appliance
being turned on, the control buttons will
automatically lock. To adjust the controls, hold
down the heat control HIGH or LOW button for
1-2 seconds. This will deactivate the lock mode
and allow the setting to be changed. To turn off
the appliance while in lock mode, hold down the
ON/OFF button until the appliance switches off.
Plug the iron cord into any household outlet
(120V). Press and hold the ON/OFF button for
approximately 1 second to turn the appliance
on. The unit will heat up very quickly. Press
HIGH or LOW button to select your desired
temperature. Once the temperature has stopped
blinking on the LED, the unit is ready to use.
To turn unit off, press and hold the power
ON/OFF button again until light goes off.
WARNING: The iron’s barrel will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not be
placed in contact with the skin after the iron
has been turned on.
The iron’s unique 5 ultra-high heat temperature
settings and Instant Heat Technology provide
styling versatility for all hair types. If you have
ne hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl
hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can vary
the iron’s temperature according to your
particular need!

TO CURL HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the curling iron.
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair.
1. Start curling with a hair section that is 1 inch
wide and no more than ½ inch thick.
2. Open the spoon and place a hair section on
the barrel, rolling up, close to the scalp. Hold for
8–12 seconds, depending on length and texture
of your hair.
3. Press the spoon handle and allow the curl to
slide out.
4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair
until you achieve the hairstyle you desire. It may
be necessary to repeat process on certain areas,
depending on the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning to
use this curling iron. After using the iron several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
Never leave your curling iron on and
unattended. However, should you fail to turn
the iron off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes.

Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning

Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato p2-ha

polarizado (una pata es mĂĄs ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, se podrĂĄ enchufar

comunĂ­quese con un electricista. No intente

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO DE LA TEMPERATURA
ÂĄIMPORTANTE! Este aparato cuenta con
una funciĂłn de bloqueo de la temperatura.
PodrĂĄ ajustar la temperatura solamente
inmediatamente despuĂŠs de encender el aparato.
DespuĂŠs de 5 segundos, los controles se
bloquearĂĄn automĂĄticamente. Para ajustar la
temperatura despuĂŠs de este tiempo, mantenga
presionados simultĂĄneamente los botones HIGH
y LOW por 1 a 2 segundos; esto desactivarĂĄ el
modo de bloqueo y permitirĂĄ ajustar la
temperatura. Para apagar el aparato mientras
estĂĄ en el modo de bloqueo, mantenga
presionado el botĂłn ON/OFF por 1 a 2 segundos.
Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente de
120V. Mantenga presionado el botón ON/OFF
por aprox. 1 segundo para encender la unidad.
La unidad se calentarĂĄ muy rĂĄpidamente. Elija la

FAMILIARÍCESE CON SU TENAZA
CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco.
Para obtener resultados Ăłptimos, aplique
una lociĂłn fijadora ligera en el cabello antes
de secarlo.
1. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1 in.
(2.5 cm) de ancho por un måximo de ½ in.
(1.5 cm) de grueso.
2. Abra la tenaza y coloque una secciĂłn de
cabello entre el tubo y la pinza. Enrolle el cabello
alrededor del tubo, hacia el cuero cabelludo.
Mantenga la tenaza en esta posiciĂłn por 8 a 12
segundos, dependiendo de la textura y de la
longitud del cabello.
3. Presione la manija para soltar el cabello.
4. Repita el proceso en cada secciĂłn de cabello,
hasta conseguir el estilo deseado. Dependiendo
de la textura del cabello, puede que sea
necesario repetir el proceso varias veces en
algunas secciones.
SerĂĄ necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con prĂĄctica, encontrarĂĄ la manera
perfecta para rizar su cabello fĂĄcil y rĂĄpidamente.
Nunca descuide/deje el aparato sin vigilancia
despuĂŠs de encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el
aparato se apagarĂĄ automĂĄticamente despuĂŠs

Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento.
No requiere lubricaciĂłn. Mantenga todos los
