Safety
• Theclock radio must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• Theclock radio is for indoor useonly.
• Do not place theclock radio where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid.
• Do not place theclock radio in damp or dusty environments or where it could be subject to
strong vibrations.
• Do not expose theclock radio to extremely high or low temperatures. Donot expose
theproduct to direct sunlight.
• Never try to open, change or modify theclock radio in anyway.
• Always remove thebatteries if theclock radio is not to be used for alongtime.
Warning!
• This product contains abutton cell battery. Ifthebattery is swallowed, within just two hours it
can lead to severe internal burns and even befatal.
• Never put batteries in your mouth and always handle them withcare. Riskfor serious injury.
• Keep new and used batteries out of thereach of children.
• Theproduct should never be used if thebattery compartment cover is in any way damaged
or malfunctioning.
• If you suspect that abattery has been swallowed or has entered thebody in another way,
seek medical assistance immediately.

Operating instructions
Battery
1. Open thebattery cover on theback of theclock radio by sliding it in thedirection of
thearrow. Remove any possible insulation film from thebattery. Theinsulating film is used to
maintain battery capacity during transport and storage.
2. Slide thebattery cover back intoplace.
3. Plug themains adaptor both into apower point and theclock’s power socket.
Note:
• During power cuts theclock’s battery maintains all time and alarm settings. However, it must
be remembered that thedisplay will be blank, theradio will not function and thealarm will
not sound when powered by thebackup battery.
• Anew battery (CR2032) has thecapacity to retain settings for about 3days.
