(Risk of death; Prevention of accidents)
•
Operating the Air GPS Ⅱ while riding is dangerous. Do not
concentrate on the screen while riding. Always ride safely.
• Mount the bracket securely, and check it periodically to
ensure that it is not loose.
•
Never disassemble or modify the Air GPS Ⅱ or any of the
included items. Doing so may be subject to punishment
as the Air GPS Ⅱ is equipped with radio equipment
certified according to the Radio Law of Japan.
Caution
(Prevention of injury, damage, or property damage)
• Keep the Air GPS Ⅱ out of the reach of children.
•
When used with a light, attach the light as far away from
the Air GPS Ⅱ as possible, as it may affect measurement.
• This device is rated IPX7 based on JIS C0920. However,
do not operate the Air GPS Ⅱ underwater. Doing so may
cause a malfunction.
•
Do not subject the device to strong vibrations, impacts, or
excessive force. Discontinue use if any abnormality occurs.
•
Do not charge or use the battery at any voltage or polarity
other than that specified. Do not short-circuit the battery.
•
Do not leave the Air GPS Ⅱ in direct sunlight for a long period of time.
• Do not drop the device into a fire or heat the device.
•
If the Air GPS Ⅱ unit or parts become dirty with mud, etc.,
clean with a soft cloth which is moistened with mild
detergent, and then wipe with a dry cloth. Never apply paint
thinner, benzine, or alcohol. Doing so may damage the device.
Limited warranty
2-year warranty: Air GPS Ⅱ unit (Accessories and Battery Consumption Excluded)
CatEye cycle computers are warranted to be free of defects from materials and
workmanship for a period of two years from original purchase. If the product
fails to work due to normal use, CatEye will repair or replace the defect at no
charge. Service must be performed by CatEye or an authorized retailer. To
return the product, pack it carefully and enclose the warranty certificate (proof
of purchase) with instruction for repair. Please write or type your name and
address clearly on the warranty certificate. Insurance, handling and
transportation charges to CatEye shall be borne by person desiring service.
For UK and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND consumers, please return to the place of
purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Handling the rechargeable battery
Recharge the battery for first time use or after long
period of storage:
The voltage of the battery may drop due to
self-discharge during long period of storage.
•
Always fully charge the battery before use.
•
If the device will not be used for a long period of time,
store it in a location that is not too hot or too humid.
•
Charge the battery for about 30 minutes every 6 months.
Cautions for charging and usage:
•
Please be sure that no dust or other foreign objects are
adhered to the plug of the USB cable before charging.
•
Do not subject the device to vibrations while charging.
• When your PC is in the sleep state, the battery cannot
be charged.
• Once charging is complete, be sure to disconnect the
USB cable and securely attach the rubber cover.
• The standard charging time and continuous
operating time are approximate and will vary
according to environmental and usage conditions.
•
Charging, discharging, and storing in high temperatures will
cause the rechargeable battery to deteriorate faster. Do not
place the Air GPS Ⅱ inside a vehicle or near a heater. Make
sure to charge only when the ambient temperature is
between 50°F and 104°F (10°C and 40°C).
• If the operating time is significantly reduced even
after proper charging, the rechargeable battery may
be nearing the end of its service life.
Cautions for dispose:
Dispose of used batteries appropriately according to
local regulations.
Use with smartphone
The Cateye Cycling™ smartphone app can be used to
change Air GPS Ⅱ settings, view or delete trip data saved
on the Air GPS Ⅱ, and import trip data from the Air GPS Ⅱ.

Downloading and using the application incurs
communication fees. A Wi-Fi connection is recommended.

Manipulación de la batería recargable

Umgang mit dem Akku
Laden Sie den Akku bei erstmaligem Verwendung oder
nach langer Lagerzeit auf:
Aufgrund von Selbstentladung während einer langen Lagerzeit
kann es zu einem Spannungsverlust beim Akku kommen.
• Laden Sie den Akku vor der Verwendung immer ganz auf.
• Falls das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird, lagern
Sie es an einem Ort, der nicht zu heiß oder zu feucht ist.
• Laden Sie das Gerät alle 6 Monate für 30 Min. auf
Vorsichtshinweise zum Laden und zur Verwendung:
• Bitte achten Sie vor dem Aufladen darauf, dass weder
Staub noch Fremdkörper am Stecker des USB-Kabels
haften.

Setzen Sie das Gerät beim Aufladen keinen Vibrationen aus.
• Wenn sich Ihr PC im Ruhezustand befindet, kann der
Akku nicht aufgeladen werden.
• Sobald der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist, müssen Sie
den USB-Stecker abziehen und die Gummiabdeckung fest
aufsetzen.
• Standard-Ladezeit und kontinuierliche Betriebszeit sind
Näherungswerte und variieren je nach Umwelt- und
Nutzungsbedingungen.

Aufladung, Entladung und Lagerung in Umgebungen mit
hohen Temperaturen verkürzen die Lebensdauer des Akkus.

Mit der Smartphone-App Cateye Cycling™ können die Air GPS
Ⅱ-Einstellungen geändert, die auf dem Air GPS Ⅱ
gespeicherten Fahrdaten angezeigt oder gelöscht oder die
Fahrdaten vom Air GPS Ⅱ importiert werden.
* Beim Download und bei der Nutzung der Anwendung fallen

Manipulation de la batterie rechargeable
Rechargez la batterie lors de la première utilisation ou
après une longue période de rangement:
La tension de la batterie peut chuter en raison d’un déchargement
naturel pendant une longue période de rangement

Chargez toujours entièrement la batterie avant l’utilisation.
• S’il n’est pas prévu d’utiliser l'appareil pendant une
longue période, stockez-le dans un endroit ni trop chaud
ni trop humide.

Rechargez la batterie pendant 30 minutes tous les 6 mois.
Précautions de chargement et d’utilisation:
•
Assurez-vous que la prise de votre câble USB n’est pas
recouverte de poussière ou autres impuretés avant de charger.
•
Ne soumettez pas l’appareil à des vibrations pendant la recharge.
• Lorsque votre PC est à l’état de veille, la batterie ne peut
pas être rechargée.
•
Une fois le chargement terminé, assurez-vous de débrancher la
prise USB et d’attacher correctement le cache en caoutchouc.
• Le temps de charge et la durée de fonctionnement en
continu sont approximatives et varient en fonction des
conditions environnementales et d'utilisation.
•
Le rechargement, le déchargement et le stockage dans des
environnements à haute température entraînent une
détérioration plus rapide de la batterie rechargeable. Ne placez
pas le AIR GPS Ⅱ à l'intérieur d'un véhicule ou à proximité d'un
chauffage. Assurez-vous de charger uniquement lorsque la
température ambiante est comprise entre 10 et 40°C.

Si la durée de fonctionnement est considérablement réduite
même après un rechargement correct, il est possible que la
batterie rechargeable ait atteint la fin de sa vie utile.
