Using the Stopwatch
The stopwatch measures elapsed time, split times, and two finishes.
x The measurement range of the stopwatch is 23hours, 59minutes, 59.99seconds.
x A stopwatch continues to run, restarting from zero after it reaches its limit, until
you stop it.

To set an alarm time
1. Hold down until the current alarm time hour digits A
start to flash.
x ALM appears on the display, indicating that alarm
setting is enabled.
2. Press to move the flashing between the hour and B
the minute digits.
x The selected digits are those that are flashing.
3. Use to change the hour and minute settings.C
x When setting the alarm time using the 12-hour
format, take care to set the time correctly as a.m. (no
indicator) or p.m. ( indicator).P

Using the Alarm
When a daily alarm is turned on, an alarm tone will sound
for about 10seconds each day when the time in the
Timekeeping Mode reaches the preset alarm time.
You can also turn on an Hourly Time Signal, which will
cause the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour.
x The (PM) and indicators are not displayed with theP 24
current (Timekeeping Mode) time at the top of the Alarm
Mode screen.

Note
x Resetting the seconds to 00 while the current count is in the range of 30 to
59causes the minutes to be increased by 1.
x The watch’s built-in full automatic calendar makes allowances for different month
lengths and leap years. Once you set the date, there should be no reason to
change it except after you have the watch’s battery replaced.
To select 12-hour or 24-hour timekeeping
In the Timekeeping Mode, press to toggle between the 12-hour timekeeping and C
24-hour timekeeping formats.
x The indicator is displayed while the 24-hour format is selected, while the PM24
indicator ( ) is displayed while the 12-hour format is selected.P
x The (PM) and indicators are not displayed with the current (TimekeepingP 24
Mode) time at the top of the Alarm Mode and Dual Time Mode screens.
x The 12-hour/24-hour timekeeping format you select in the Timekeeping Mode is
applied in all other modes.

General Functions (All Modes)
The functions and operations described in this section can be used in all modes.
Auto Return
If you do not perform any operation for about one or two minutes while configuring
settings (setting flashing on the display) in any mode, the watch will exit the setting
operation and return to normal display.
Scrolling
Use the button in the setting mode to scroll through available settings. In most C
cases, holding down when scrolling will scroll at high speed.C

To change the illumination duration
In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down for at least two seconds to toggle between C
the illumination duration settings below.
Approximately 1.5 seconds: 3"-second indicator not displayed.
Approximately three seconds: 3"-second indicator displayed.
x Pressing C in the above operation also toggles between the 12-hour and 24-hour
timekeeping formats.
x To prevent running down the battery, the watch will
automatically switch back to the 1.5-second setting
about seven hours after you select the three-second
setting.

Illumination
You can illuminate the display of the watch for easy reading in the dark.
To turn on illumination
Press in any mode to illuminate the display.L
x Illumination normally remains on for about 1.5 seconds. You can use the procedure
below to change the illumination to three seconds.
Note
x Illumination turns off automatically whenever an alarm sounds.

The Dual Time Mode lets you keep track of the time
in another time zone.
x The P (PM) and 24 indicators are not displayed with
the current (Timekeeping Mode) time at the top of
the Dual Time Mode screen.
To enter the Dual Time Mode
Use to select the Dual Time Mode as shown on B
page E-9.
To set the Dual Time
1. Hold down until the dual time hour digits start A
to flash.
