To EOS 40D Users

This instruction manual describes use of the transmitter when connected to the EOS 50D.

When using the transmitter with the EOS 40D, refer to the PDF manual in the EOS_40D folder.

Note that the EOS 40D does not support the following functions.

•Wi-Fi Protected Setup, for easy connection

•Transfer of images to FTP folders

•Changing the HTTP port number

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

This product is offered in two versions, WFT-E3 and WFT-E3A. Each version operates on a

different number of wireless LAN channels. The WFT-E3 can transmit on 13 channels, and the

WFT-E3A, on 11 channels. This difference in the number of channels available is due to

varying radio regulations in areas of use.

In other respects, the WFT-E3 and WFT-E3A are identical. They are operated in the same

way. This instruction manual describes operation using the WFT-E3 as an example.
