1. Check the toast slots for any remaining packaging. Be sure slots are completely clear

2. Place toaster on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface away from the edge and at

least 3 inches away from the wall or back of counter.

Attention: Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is

normal. This is a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.
