Air Controls
The Blaze B100 wood heater features a single air control
system. It is designed to introduce oxygen into the base of the
re controlling the rate of combuson of the wood as well as
oxygen being drawn into the upper rebox where combuson
of the gases occurs.
The air control is operated by sliding the black mild steel -tab
like handle located on the top le front side of the heater.
Sliding it to the le oers maximum burn rate, while sliding it
to the right oî…¤ers minimum burn rate.
Secondary air holes in the rear of the î…§rebox provide
addional oxygen for a more complete combuson of the
gases released from the burning wood.
Door Handle
Warning: the door handle may get hot if appliance has been
le in High burn seng for an extended period of me. In
which case use a protecve glove or equivalent to open.
Open air slide before opening the door to eliminate the
chance of backdra and/or smoke entering the room.
 First few mes the appliance is lit, it will give o some
odorous fumes. This is caused by the paint curing.
ï‚· Do not touch the paint work while it is curing otherwise
it can leave a permanent mark on the appliance.
ï‚· Once the paint has cured it will not re-occur.
 Keep the room well venlated unl these fumes have
cleared.
 Burn only seasoned hardwood mber with a moisture
content of less than 20%.
ï‚·
Newly cut wood should be allowed to dry/season for 12
to 18 months before use.
ï‚·
Wood should be stored in an environment protected
from the weather to minimise any potenal moisture
content.
ï‚·
For best results, wood should not exceed 270mm in
length and 150mm diameter. Any larger and appliance
will not operate at its opmum. It is beer to burn
several smaller pieces of wood than one large single
piece.
ï‚·
Poor quality mber:
o
Causes low combuson eciency
o
Produces poor emissions (smokey)
o
Results in addional buildup of creosote (soot) in
the ue which will then require regular cleaning
and may result in a ue re.
ï‚·
Do not burn painted, impregnated/treated wood,
manufactured board products or pallet wood.
ï‚·
Place î…§relighters or paper and dry kindling wood in the
base of the î…§rebox.
ï‚·
Light the paper or î…§relighters.
ï‚·
Open the air control located on the top le corner of the
appliance by sliding to the le of the appliance.
