ŸThis device may be used by children aged at least 8 years and by persons with reduced physical or
mental capabilities, or by persons lacking experience and knowledge, provided that supervision
or instruction concerning safe use of the device has been given and that the hazards involved are
understood.
ŸChildren must not play with the device and must not carry out cleaning or maintenance without
supervision.
ŸThe distance meter is a precision instrument.Do not drop it,strike it, or shake it.
ŸThe distance meter uses a Class 2 laser.Do not aim the laserbeam at the eyes or other parts of the
body.
ŸWhen using the distance meter on highly reflective surfaces, the result may be inaccurate. The use
of measuring target plates is recommended.
ŸStrong light, extreme temperatures, or a low battery level may cause a slight reduction in
measurement accuracy.

OPERATING THE DISTANCE METER
To switch on the distance meter, press the power button (12). The device will enter calibration mode and
will then be ready for measurements.
To change the units, press and hold the measurement mode and unit selection button (8). A short press
of this button changes the measurement mode.
To measure a distance, press the measurement button (12). To activate continuous measurement mode,
press and hold the measurement button for a longer time. The display will show the minimum distance,
maximum distance, and the currently measured value. To exit this mode, press the measurement button
again.
Calculation functions – to activate a calculation function, press the measurement function button (7)
the required number of times until the function indicator (3) displays the desired function.
