BOTTLE OPENER
1. For use only in the removal of metal bottle caps. Do not use it for screw-off caps,
punch in tabs or cans with pull rings.
2. To open a bottle, position the cap under the metal "hook" in the bottle opener.
Important: Make sure the "hook" is not under the bottle neck or the glass may break.
3. Pull down to pop the cap off .(D)
KNIFE SHARPENING
1. The slot in the knife sharpener is slanted for left or right-handed use.
2. For best results, sharpen the entire blade length in one
continuous stroke carefully pulling the blade through the slot
and slightly up towards you . (E)
3. Repeat until you achieve desired sharpness.
4. Wash and dry knives after sharpening.
Important: Use caution with blade after sharpening.
SHARPENING TIPS
• Clean and dry knives after sharpening.
• Do not attempt to sharpen serrated blades, as this will smooth their edges.
• Do not attempt to sharpen scissors.
Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service
personnel.
CLEANING
1. Unplug the can opener before cleaning.
2. Remove the cutting assembly by lifting the lever up and pulling the cutting
assembly out.(A)
3. Wash it by hand in warm, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly.
4. Before replacing the cutting assembly, wipe the can opener's exterior and the
area around the drive wheel with a slightly damp cloth or sponge.
5. Dry the can opener thoroughly.

❍Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
❍Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
❍Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.
❍Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.

POLARIZED PLUG (120V Model Only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to
prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized
service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord.
b) Extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
c) If an extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and
3) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or tripped over.
Note:If the power cord is damaged, please contact the
warranty department listed in these instructions.

How to Use
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material and any stickers.
• Remove and save literature.
• Please go to www.prodprotect.com/blackanddecker to register your warranty.
• Wash all removable parts as instructed in Care and Cleaning section of this manual.
• Wipe outside of appliance with a damp cloth; dry thoroughly.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove the cutting assembly from cardboard insert.
• Attach cutting assembly by aligning key tab with key
slots .(A)
• Push in and turn until cutting assembly locks into
position.
OPENING CANS
1. Plug the cord into a standard, 120-volt electrical outlet.
2. Lift the lever. Tip the can so that the rim is under the locating post.
3. Push down on the lever, making sure the cutter blade is inside the rim.
Note: It is not necessary to hold the lever down or support the can during cutting.
However, you may have to hold the base when cutting very tall or heavy cans.
4. When the can is opened, the cutting automatically stops.
5. Remove can by holding it with one hand and raising the lever with the other.
Caution: Avoid contact with the cut edges of the can or lids, they are sharp. Carefully
remove the lid from the magnet and discard.
6. Stuff excess cord back inside the bottom of the unit and feed the cord through the
notch for storage.
Note: This can opener will not open rimless cans or cans with angled corners. It should
not be used to open cans with a peel-off foil or rolling key.
Note: Frozen juices or foods in cardboard cans should be opened as soon as they are
removed from the freezer. Aluminum lids will not stick to the magnet.
POP-TOP OPENER
For use on cans with a pull ring:
1. Remove pop-top opener. Wedge the flat end of the pop-top
opener under the ring and lift up .(B)
2. Manually pull the ring back to remove the lid or hook the
pop-top opener under the ring, pull back on the pop top
opener and pop off the lid .(C)

Are there additional warranty exclusions?
• This warranty shall not be valid where it is contrary to U.S. and other applicable
laws, or where the warranty would be prohibited under any economic sanctions,
export control laws, embargos, or other restrictive trade measures enforced by the
United States or other applicable jurisdictions. This includes, without limitation, any
warranty claims implicating parties from, or otherwise located in, Cuba, Iran, North
