IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should

handheld spatulas and other utensils away from beaters/whisks

after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner. Return the appliance to an authorized service center
for examination, repair, or adjustment.
â– The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
â– Do not use outdoors.
â– Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch
hot surfaces.
â– Remove beaters/whisks and spatula attachment from mixer
before washing.
â– Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
â– Mixing flammable non-food substances may be hazardous.

â– Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable
fumes.
â– This product is intended for household use only and not for com-
mercial or industrial use.
â– Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the mixer by the cord or
yank the cord to disconnect it from an outlet; instead, grasp the
plug and pull to disconnect.
â– Do not attempt to repair the mixer yourself; instead take it to a
Black & Decker (U.S.) Inc. Household Appliance Company-
Owned or Authorized Service Center for repair. Call the toll-free
“800” number listed on the cover of this book for the location of
the Service Center nearest you.
POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug—
one blade is wider than the other. To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug will fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature by modifying the plug in any
way.
