Important: For optimum performance, let the iron stand for 90 seconds before beginning
to iron.
Tip: If unsure of a garmentâs fiber, test a small area (on an inside seam or hem) before ironing.
FILLING WATER TANK
1. Open the water-fill cover.
2. Tilt the iron and using a clean measuring cup, pour water into opening until the water reaches
the MAX level mark on the water tank. Do not overfill.
3. Close the water-fill cover.
Note: If you need to add water while ironing, unplug the iron and follow above steps.
SPECIAL FEATURES
3-WAY AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
The automatic shutoff feature in your iron works as follows:
⢠Once the iron reaches appropriate temperature, it will turn off after 30
seconds of inactivity if left on its soleplate or tipped over on its side. If left
vertically on its heel rest, it will shut off after 8 minutes (A).
⢠The power indicator light starts blinking to let you know that the iron has
stopped heating.
⢠As soon as you pick up the iron, it will start heating again. Wait for iron to
reheat completely before resuming operation.

Anti-Drip System
The anti-drip system prevents water spotting at low temperatures.
IRONING WITH STEAM
Smart SteamTM Technology
The Smart SteamTM system automatically generates the right amount of steam for the fabric
type selected. Once you select the temperature, the Smart SteamTM technology detects the
temperature and adjusts the steam power accordingly.
Surge of Steam
Use to remove stubborn wrinkles.
1. With the water tank filled to the MAX mark, set fabric select dial to appropriate setting (between
4 and 6) for your fabric.
2. Be sure there is water in the tank. Steam is automatically turned off between settings 0 and 3.
3. Press the steam button to generate a surge of steam. For best performance, leave an interval
of 5 seconds between bursts.
4. When finished ironing, turn the fabric select dial to 0 and unplug the iron.
Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on but not in use.
Vertical Steam
Use for removing wrinkles from hanging clothes and drapes.
1. Be sure the water tank is filled to the MAX mark.
2. Hang the garment to be steamed on a clothes hanger. (Curtains or drapes can be steamed once
they are hung.)
3. Turn the fabric select dial to appropriate setting (between 4 and 6) for your fabric.
4. Hold the iron close to (but not touching) the fabric.
5. Pull the fabric tight in your free hand and pump the steam button as you move the iron over the
fabric.
Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on, but not in use.
USING SPRAY
Use to dampen tough wrinkles at any setting.
1. Be sure the iron is filled with water.
2. On first use, pump the spray button several times.
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
1. Turn the fabric select dial to setting between settings 0 and 3 to iron without steam. The Smart
SteamTM system will automatically turn off.
2. To dry iron at higher settings, empty the water from the tank to prevent steaming.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualiďŹed service personnel.
CLEANING OUTSIDE SURFACES
1. Make sure iron is unplugged and has cooled completely.
2. Wipe soleplate and outer surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with water.
3. Add mild household detergent. Never use abrasives, heavy-duty cleansers, vinegar or scouring
pads that may scratch or discolor the iron.
4. After cleaning, steam iron over an old cloth to remove any residue from the steam vents.
AUTO CLEANTM SYSTEM
To keep steam vents free of any buildup, about once a month follow these instructions.
1. Fill water tank well below the MAX line. Plug in the iron.
2. Turn fabric select dial to 6 and stand the iron on its heel rest. Allow it to heat

4. Press and hold the AUTO CLEANTM button. Be careful, as after several seconds, hot water and
steam will come out of the steam vents. Continue to hold the AUTO CLEAN

water has emptied. If necessary, rock iron side to side and front to back.
5. When finished, release the button, stand the iron on its heel rest and plug
it in.
6. Heat the unit for about 2 minutes to dry out any remaining water.
STORING YOUR IRON
1. Unplug iron and allow it to cool.
2. Check that fabric select dial is set to 0.
3. Store vertically on its heel to prevent water leaking from the soleplate.

FUNCIONES ESPECIALES
APAGADO AUTOMĂTICO DE 3 POSICIONES
El dispositivo de apagado automĂĄtico de esta plancha funciona de la siguiente manera:
⢠La plancha se apaga automåticamente si permanece inactiva sobre la suela o de lado durante

Utilice para suavizar las arrugas de las prendas colgantes o de las cortinas.
1. AsegĂşrese de que el tanque de agua estĂŠ lleno hasta el nivel MAX.

2. Limpie la suela y las superficies exteriores con un paĂąo suave humedecido con agua.
3. Aplique un detergente domĂŠstico suave. JamĂĄs utilice abrasivos, limpiadores fuertes, vinagre ni
almohadillas de fregar que puedan rayar o decolorar la plancha.
4. DespuĂŠs de limpiar, planche a vapor sobre un paĂąo viejo a fin de retirar cualquier residuo

A fin de mantener los orificios de vapor libres de acumulaciones, siga las siguientes instrucciones
por lo menos una vez al mes.
1. Llene el tanque de agua por debajo de la lĂnea MAX. Enchufe la plancha.
2. Ajuste el selector de tejidos al nivel 6 y coloque la plancha sobre el talĂłn de descanso. Permita
que la plancha se caliente.
3. Gire el selector de tejidos a la posiciĂłn â0â, desconecte y sujete la plancha sobre un lavabo con
la suela orientada hacia abajo.
4. Presione y sostenga el botĂłn de limpieza automĂĄtica AUTO CLEANÂŽ. Tenga cuidado del
agua caliente y del vapor que emiten los orificios de vapor . ContinĂşe sosteniendo el botĂłn
de limpieza automĂĄtica AUTO CLEANÂŽ hasta vaciar toda el agua. Si es necesario, mueva la
plancha de lado a lado y de atrĂĄs para adelante.
5. Al terminar, suelte el botĂłn, coloque la plancha sobre el talĂłn de descanso y enchĂşfela.
6. Permita que la plancha se caliente unos dos minutos hasta secarse toda el agua sobrante.
ALMACENAMIENTO
1. Desconecte la plancha y espere que se enfrĂe.
2. Verifique que el selector de temperatura estĂŠ ajustado a la posiciĂłn â0â.
3. Coloque la plancha verticalmente sobre el talĂłn de descanso para evitar que la suela gotee.
