When using an electrical
appliance,
basic precautions should be observed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING YOUR BISSELL
PET HAIR ERASER SWEEPER.
WARNING -
To reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury:
â–  Store indoors.
â–  Do not expose to rain.
â–  Do not immerse.
â–  Do not handle with wet hands.
â–  Do not use Pet Hair Eraser Sweeper if it has
been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or
dropped into water, have it repaired at an
Authorized Service Center.
â–  Do not use with damaged cord or plug
on the charger.
â–  Do not unplug charger by pulling on cord.
â–  Do not damage the charger cord. Never
carry or pull the charger unit by the cord,
use cord as a handle, close door on cord,
or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
â–  Do not use an extension cord. Charger
should plug directly into electrical outlet.
â–  Do not put any object into appliance
openings, use with blocked opening, or
restrict air flow.
â–  Do not use with any opening blocked.
â–  Do not expose hair, loose clothing, fingers
or body parts to openings or moving parts.
â–  Do not pick up hot, burning or smoking objects
such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
â–  Do not pick up flammable or combustible
materials (lighter fluid, petrol, kerosene,
etc.) or use in the presence of explosive
liquids or vapors.
â–  Do not use appliance in an enclosed
space filled with vapors given off by oil
base paint, paint thinner, some moth
proofing substances, flammable dust, or
other explosive or toxic vapors.
â–  Do not pick up toxic material (chlorine
bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, petrol, etc.)
â–  Do not allow to be used as a toy.
â–  Not intended for use by young children
or infirm persons without supervision.
â–  Young children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
â–  Do not use for any purpose other than
described in this User’s Guide.
■ Use only manufacturer’s recommended
attachments – use of attachments not
provided or sold by BISSELL may cause
fire, electric shock or injury.
â–  Use only the charger supplied by BISSELL
(packaged with your appliance) to
recharge your Pet Hair Eraser Sweeper.
â–  Use charger unit only in standard
electrical outlet (120V).
â–  Keep openings free of dust, lint, hair, etc.
â–  Unplug charger unit from outlet before
maintenance or cleaning.
â–  Unplug by grasping the plug, not the cord.
â–  Be extra careful when cleaning stairs.
â–  Turn off all controls when finished cleaning.
â–  Do not charge the unit outdoors.
â–  Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces
â–  Do not incinerate the appliance even if it
is severely damaged. The batteries can
explode in a fire.
Your Pet Hair Eraser Sweeper contains recharge-
able nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries. Do not
incinerate batteries or they can explode when
exposed to high temperatures.
Battery cell leaks can occur under extreme
conditions. If battery cell contents comes in
contact with the skin:
â–  Flush immediately with warm water for
at least 15 minutes, then wash with
soap and water.
If battery cell contents comes in contact with
the skin:
â–  Flush immediately with clean water for a
minimum of 15 minutes.
â–  Seek medical attention.
