Setting Up the BoomBox
1.
Place the stand mount onto a light stand’s
5/8-inch stud. Tighten the locking knob
until secure.
2. Press down the locking button, and swing
the mounting bracket into position until it
snaps into place.
3. Attach the BoomBox to the stand mount
by aligning the thumbscrew with one of
the mounting bracket holes. Tighten until
secure.
4. Open the BoomBox, and push the center
ring over the shaft until it’s it’s all the
way in, just like an umbrella. A slight
counterclockwise turn of the center ring
locks it into place.

Optional: Attach the deflector plate
to the shaft with the thumbscrew. The
deflector plate minimizes the hot spot at
the center of the box and diuses the light
for beauty dish-style wraparound light.
Note: For a creative lighting option, the
deflector plate can also be mounted in reverse.

6. Optional: Attach the diuser by pressing
the touch-connect strips against the
inner rim of the BoomBox. The diuser
softens and spreads the light for an even
and flattering eect. It can be used with
or without the deflector plate.
7.
Loosen the tension knob, and slide your
flash’s foot into the cold shoe. Tighten the
tension knob until the flash is secure.
8.
Use the thumbscrews to adjust the height
of the BoomBox and the position of the
cold shoe.
